  1. Being realistic, going off the prices Waggott charges, 9k is a decent effort. But that's not the point. We've only got to look at Preston and Bolton, two clubs of historically similar size and stature, who through attractive pricing policies, are putting our numbers to shame.
  2. Overpriced + none existant marketing = (maybe) 9k in sales Well done Swag. Just go.
  3. What's the run rate, around 120/week or so? Wow....we could hit the dizzy heights of 9,000 by season start 🙌
  4. Yep, you're right. Of course you are.
  5. Aye OK, I'll jack in my FTSE100 job cos you think the company policy is wrong...
  6. Of course everyone is entitled to leave, but there is such a thing as giving notice. For example, if I want a week off, I'm expected to give 4 week's notice.
  7. The point being that even the dizzy heights of 9.500 - should we get there - is woefully embarassing considering what is happening elsewhere.
  8. Let's be honest, 9,500 would be a slightly less dire outcome than the current 8,500. It says everything about the dumbing down of the operation when these numbers are being lauded as a success.
  9. Some supporters will likely be treating this as their 'summer holiday' ie a nice few days away abroad whilst catching a Rovers game or two. The club should have promoted/advertised this well in advance so people can arrange leave from work, sort flights, hotels out etc. and generally make plans. It's poor that the club don't seemingly recognise this.
  10. ...and at least we'd get a decent pint down there 🤣
  11. If the Ewood match day experience is of no interest, then we may as well watch them play on Feni Rec!
  12. They've now pulled their original tweet which advertised it at £8, and re-tweeted at £10 If you don't laugh, you'd cry.
  13. Tickets out for Accy. Adult price advertised at £8, go to pay and it's £10. They really are a shambles down at Ewood.
  14. So a 25% increase then? Not to be sniffed at. no?
  15. My point was not that as a club Manchester City 'deserve' their success - arguably they do considering the amount of money they've spent - but to label their fan base as 'deserving' above fans of other clubs, is sanctimonious drivel.
  16. I don't get this 'City fans deserve it' nonsense. They don't deserve any more than say Wolves fans who watched fourth division football, or Bury fans who are now following their side around the non league, or for that matter, any other set of fans who follow their side come what may.
  17. Of course PL football would bring thousands more through the gate. But to imply that reducing the price of tickets, assuming that all other things remain equal, wouldn't also increase numbers (albeit not to the same extent) flies in the face of business practice.
  18. Who knows exactly how many? Perhaps the club's marketing team should do, but that might be stretching it. One thing is for sure, our numbers won't increase very much at all under the current pricing approach.
  19. The evidence is everywhere and with anything for sale. Reduce the price of something and you'll sell more of it, all other things being equal.
  20. I didn't realise that, the robbing so-and-so. Yet more short sightedness. Encouraging people into the shop with a voucher in hand would likely encourage a bigger spend. Now people won't bother going in in the first place.
  21. I didn't know that Stephen Hendry was a Rover. Learn something new every day....
  22. From that article... '"If you lose touch with grassroots and community are you a real football club or are you a business?' Oh, the irony.
  23. Chalk and cheese. https://www.burndenaces.co.uk/2023/06/01/bolton-ceo-details-major-changes-for-summer-ahead.html
  24. I pay it because I'm lucky enough to be able to do so, but I don't consider it value for money nor a fair price. More fool me, you might say.
