  1. Exactly. In no other industry do new customers get penalised, certainly not in those which which want to grow their customer base. They really are clueless at Ewood.
  2. Sales of season tickets is just basic 'supply and demand' economics. Unlike say Luton, the supply is effectively infinite. We'll never, ever in a million years shift 31,000 season tickets at Ewood. The demand is also evidently not there. Therefore, to increase demand, either the perceived value of the 'product' needs to increase, or the price needs to drop. Waggot either needs to add more value to the product - a free shirt for example - or reduce the price.
  3. That's how I feel. I'm 50 odd and have been lucky to see us win things. My daughter has seen nothing but failure, though. I'd love us to get back to the PL for her generation.
  4. It's not so much the highest prices which are the issue. Rather, it's the cheaper tickets (think BBE) whiere we are higher than the vast majority. This is where the bulk of tickets would be sold. We're the 4th most expensive, it would appear.
  5. The club don't talk to their customers, so how can they have any real insight? I can't recall them ever contacting me for my opinion on something. Simple things, like doing a customer survey say, they just seemingly can't be bothered with.
  6. The first signing has got to be Nyambe IMO. If he leaves, it's yet another player to find. If he stays, the problem disappears.
  7. Manager sorted. Now get the ticket prices sorted, Waggott!!
  8. If Im reading it right, PNE's prices are now similar to ours give or take. The difference being, as MattyBlue points out, is that they put out an attractive early bird offer which has paid off. They probably won't now sell many more, but effectively they've got their season ticket business done early through their early bird scheme. In contrast, our early bird prices are virtually the same as our late bird prices (£30 difference). The vast majority of PNE ST holders will have paid £100-£150 or so less than we have.
  9. The club won't have payment (card/bank) details for anyone who's paid on credit. They'd have to contact them individually. Similar situationfor anyone who paid by card, as Ticketmaster took the payment.
  10. I wouldn't trust this lot to deliver on any 'promise'. As someone who stupidly bought ST's the season before last during lock down, I'm still waiting on the supporter mosaic thing which was promised to arrive in spring. Not that I'm particularly bothered about seeing my ugly mug in public, but it's the principle...
  11. Refunds would be nightmare admin wise. I imagine a good number have taken credit agreements out which would be a mess to sort out with the credit company. I suppose they could offer some sort of voucher for the concourse or club shop.
  12. All they can feasibly do at this stage is freeze the ST prices at early bird. Shambles.
  13. They don't need to be a fan, but they need to work in the best interests of the fans.
  14. I think we'll end up where we were at the start of last season, whatever that was (6k'ish?)
  15. Assuming that number are as low as is though, then we should expect another series of half-arsed 'offers' throughout the season. Only this time, it's unlikely that we'll be anywhere near the league position we found ourselves in last Christmas.
  16. In what other industry do new customers pay a penalty over existing customers? Think mobile, utility providers etc....they all offer incentives/deals to attract new customers. I think I've read something, though, that this practice is to be prohibited.
  17. You could be right. It's yet more incompetence. The ticket office is closed tomorrow - per yesterday's email - for anyone intending to renew in person. Beggars belief.
  18. Same. As things stand, we're in the brown stuff.
  19. My guess is that they extended the early bird by just one week, as they expected have a manager in place by now.
  20. I'll be renewing our 2 season tickets by tomorrow's cut off. I'll be doing this begrudgingly, mind you. I refuse to pay them an extra £60 over the already ridiculous prices.
  21. Fear not, we'll be 'challenging for promotion in the coming season'...
  22. I'm not sure that we'll get out of League 1 as quickly as we did last time.
  23. I've had a reminder email about the Saturday early bird deadline, so I doubt that it will get extended again.
