  1. Nothing to lose now. Just play the most attacking side we have.
  2. We really don't. Not one bit.
  3. Man reads restaurant reviews on Trip Advisor. Man doesn't like the head chef and decides not to eat there any more. He feels the need to add his own negative review whilst belittlling those who do still eat there. I get it now.
  4. Quite the opposite. As with anything in life, anyone who hands over their hard earned money has every right to complain.
  5. I'm also lucky enough to be able to afford it, but even so, the prices are non-sensical and do nothing IMO to increase numbers, quite the opposite in fact. Call me a 'happy clapper', or an 'accomplice', but I've been doing this for nearly 50 years and am not giving up ... well not just yet. Conversely, I fully understand why others will choose not to go.
  6. He's forever whingeing in the ref's ear. That must go against him with some refs. Needs to learn to shut up and do his talking with the ball.
  7. Indeed they are. One is a meaningful achievement, the other is a meaningless statement which virtually any club in the top half could make.
  8. If Burnley stay up, they'll see the £15m as money well spent.
  9. If N01 was made into a standing area, wouldn't that block some of the view - the JW/BBE corner - for those in N02? The standing areas I've seen - e.g Celtic - seem to be in corners, but I'm probably be wrong.
  10. Without question, it's a massive gamble getting rid of Dyche. It's not all over yet, though. There's plenty of points left to play for and they're only 4 behind Everton with 8 to play. Someone could come in, fancy the challenge, and perfrom a miracle. Who knows? I'll only be getting the jelly out when relegation is a done deal...
  11. Waggot can't organise ticket sales without making a pig's ear out of it. What gives you the slightest bit of confidence that he can source an adequate manager?
  12. I'll no doubt be renewing my season ticket for next season come what may. If Mowbray is still here though, I won't be doing it with any enthusiasm, put it that way. Hopefully Venkys can surprise us, but I'm not holding my breath.
  13. Worse than Fulham or Morecambe?
  14. I genuinely would give him his marching orders today. Get someone else to do the job for 5 games - anyone, even Damian Johnson - it can't be any worse. If we lose all 5 games, so what? We'd be no worse off than if we kept Mowbray on, and it might just pay off.
  15. I agree. Belief and confidence were visibly lacking yesterday.
  16. Brereton needs to start concentrating on playing his game. Too much time spent moaning, flailing his arms in the air, and falling over far too easily for my liking.
  17. We should get rid of him now then - as in right now - don't you agree? There are 5 games left to play, and unlikely as it seems, we could sneak into the play offs. Even someone coming in temporarily could give us a boost.
  18. If Mowbray is indeed going through the motions, then surely we should get rid of him now?
  19. I agree - they shouldn't stand still. That's not to say that they won't. History tells us so.
  20. On the subject of managers showing enthusiasm, Xavi at Barca is the perfect example. You can't help but have a smile of your face when you see him celebrate goals. For the Barca fans, that must be infectious.
  21. You don't need to be an expert to see that a lot of what Mowbray tries - and somehow persists with - is nonsense.
  22. You make it out like we're Ajax with a DNA of total football, or Barca with a DNA of tika-taka, where the recuitment is consistent year after year irrespective of who the manager is. Even with Mowbray in charge for 4 consecutive summers, our summer recruitment efforts have been ad-hoc and last minute at best. Why you expect the recruitment this summer to somehow improve, whilst we're potentially going through a change of manager, is beyond me.
  23. You're assuming that a new manager would actually want any players on such a list, that he wouldn't have a list of his own, and that the recruitment team themselves would still be at the club. Any manager worth his salt would pick his own players. Just because Mowbray says he is planning for next season, in spite of not knowing whether he knows himself whether he'll be here or not, doesn't mean that they actually are.
  24. A change of manager may not have made a difference, or maybe it would have done. Who knows? You'd have to go some to do a worse job than Mowbray though. Having a new manager in place now would have allowed them time to evaluate the squad in advance of next season. Assuming Mowbray does go in the summer, whoever does come in willl instead go into next season from a standing start. Opportunity missed, but that's not a surprise with this lot.
