  1. Wasn't it Grimes who repeatedly kept pinging balls out to their left side whilst we were backs to the wall for the second half?
  2. Living in Wheelton, I see all sorts of affiliations.....Rovers, North End, Bolton, City....there's even a dingle in the village. So there's plenty of competition.
  3. First away game of the season at the seaside for the two of us. Got tickets online just now, no problem.
  4. I'd suggest that with Mowbray still in situ despite months of abject performances, a large chunk of our remaining fan base are now simply apathetic to it all. ie we turn up as we do to watch and cheer on the team, are pleasantly suprised at the start we've had, but fully expect normal service to be resumed before too long.
  5. It's a saying, @chaddyrovers “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.” In other words, the fact that Mowbray has get us off to a semi-decent start, may fool some people into thinking things will change for the better. But it doesn't fool us all.
  6. You can fool some of the people, some of the time....
  7. I genuinely cannot understand why anyone would not want to replace Mowbray. He's spent 4 seasons going absolutely nowhere. If people are happy with at best mid-table mediocrity, then fine, fill your boots. I'd rather we showed some ambition and took a chance on someone new, who can engage, inspire, and show a modicum of ambition. A few early season games changes nothing. He needs to go, and the sooner the better.
  8. Is it any wonder we never get anywhere under Mowbray? More self serving nonsense. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19590910.tony-mowbray-says-wont-put-expectation-burden-blackburn-rovers/
  9. Swansea attendance in the middle table is wrong.
  10. Irrespective of league position etc, if there's an opportunity to get someone in who's substantially better than Mowbray, then they'd be fools to not at least consider it.
  11. So what if John Park was influential in the Khadra signing? That's his bloody job after all.
  12. Negativity or realism? I fully intend to enjoy it .. while it lasts.
  13. I totally agree. Reduce the prices to say £20 and, short term, we may not get many more through the gate than say charging £30. We may also not make as much money. But....the potential for increased numbers at £20 is greater than it is for £30. ie the opportunity is greater. Assuming the product is right, of course.
  14. 5 of the 7 sides we've played are in the bottom half; 3 of which are in the bottom 5. Hardly 'better sides'.
  15. If one of the big clubs comes in for him, he'll be off like a shot. Twas ever thus.
  16. I read it as someone (PB) just making a statement to which Wagott did not respond, or if he did it wasn't minuted. Pathetic.
  17. The same could be said for Mark Hughes, @chaddyrovers. Weren't you promoting him not too long ago?
  18. I don't think he has jettisoned his wide striker fallacy. Rather, due to his abject failure in replacing Armstrong, he's been forced to shove Gallagher or Brereton into the central role as he has no other choice.
  19. It's basic supply and demand economics. The number of people who are willing to pay the price Maggott is asking to watch the football served up by Mowbray, is decreasing. i.e. it's expensive and doesn't offer value for money.
  20. Open your eyes man. Aside from him goal, Brereton was absolutely dreadful.
  21. Aside from his goal - which was very well taken - he was a liability. Constantly fails to control the ball and hands back possession.
  22. It grates me. On one hand, the club is fleecing supporters with OTT price rises on food, drink Blues Bar etc. On the other hand, they waste thousands on nonsensical signings. Anyway, I wonder if the aforementioned 'King Of Ewood' will make his return this evening?
  23. Only Mowbray would agree to pay the wages of someone else's player whilst they spend weeks recovering from a pre-existing injury.
  24. ...and some people believe that we have the players to cover off Armstrong's goals and that we'll end up in 9th position!
  25. Evidence of what? 6 whole games? OK then. Let's give it the benefit of the doubt, and see where we are by say Christmas. I hope that I'm wrong.
