  1. Perhaps £30 a pop may have something to with it
  2. Why the hell is he getting an unknown, green centre half in on loan, when we already have Lenihan/Ayala/Wharton/Carter/Magloire plus Johnson/Nyambe to cover at a push?
  3. I don't give two hoots whether or not Mowbray's football is the worst in 50 years. What I do care about is the here and now, and that something is done to address an absolutely apalling run of form dating back 30 games or so. That something needs to be Mowbray's removal - and also that of the inept Waggott - and the sooner the better. They are simply not capable of improving matters, either on the pitch, or off it.
  4. I can't see why the club don't try 'pop-up club shops' on the concourses. Sell a few scarves pre-match or at half time, that sort of thing. You see this type of thing at other stadiums.
  5. Expected to be fit in time for the September WC qualifiers. Who'd have thought it? 🤣 https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58316360
  6. If those Leeds salaries are true....we couldn't have been paying Mulgrew much less that that!!!!
  7. Spot on @tomphil. Eventually all the little things will add up and we'll have a big bill. Someone mentioned the cracking steps in the family stand; I saw the exact same thing myself at the U23 game last week. Before they know it, the frost will come, the steps will fail, and they'll have a H&S issue. It's similar in the JWU. The stairways have seen better days, they can't even be arsed repainting the yellow strips at the edge of the steps. It just looks scruffy. Re food pricing. The prices for drinks and food are beyond a joke. My daughter always used to got herself a hotdog, she reckons last season it was £3.50 which was bad enough. This season....£4.50 for basically a bread roll and a frankfurter. On Saturday, I bought 2 soft drinks and 2 chocolate bars. It was over 7 quid!!!!
  8. We were simply beaten by a far better team for this level of football. WBA are a physical and professional side, who do what what they do well. They reminded me of Burnley when we last played them; win the second balls; get it forward as quickly as possible, get crosses into the box, and shoot when they get a chance. Not the easiest on the eye, but very effective. We're miles off that level I'm afraid.
  9. Need to get something tonight. WBA will be very difficult, so we could then be looking at no wins from 4 (including Morecambe).
  10. Phew! It was only the first time I saw Phillips last night. I'm no expert, but if he's as good as people think he is and he develops quickly, he'll soon give the other CBs a run for their money. I was quite impressed with Annesley last night also.
  11. Stuart Harvey, as in the guy who went to Sunderland? How is it possible that he was even in the technical area???
  12. Totally agree RUTD, we just weren't clinical enough this evening. It could/should have been 3-0 after 15 minutes. Quite an entertaining game though, and a fair result.
  13. Brereton was indeed woeful on Tuesday. His close control was abysmal. I can't help but think that all this Chile/Pepsi business is turning him into some sort of cult figure, but disguising the fact that he's not all that he's cracked up to be.
  14. Mowbray doesn't have the players to get out of a death spiral. Last season he eventually found a win by simply randomly rotating the team until he struck lucky. He doesn't have the numbers this time to do that. 2-0 Millwall.
  15. There's no doubt about it in my mind, we're going to struggle massively this season with Mowbray still here. The old failings are still there and he won't change. Winning is a habit, but so is losing. The habit we have under Mowbray is the latter; he hasn't got it in him to consistently win football matches. 5 or so wins in 20 odd games is a joke. Looking at the upcoming fixtures, I just can't see us getting many points.
  16. They must have visibility of what the revenue figures are and how they're made up. Whether they're actually bothered to understand or challenge them though is another matter.
  17. Probably because the powers that be can't be bothered, nor are they imaginative enough to try other options.
  18. Six thousand. Wow. It's going to be an eye opener in the ground tomorrow looking out at the vast swathes of empty seats. If Waggott's head doesn't roll for this, then it never will.
  19. I'm not so sure @tomphil. It's only a matter of time before we'll hit another death spiral, but with the state of the squad it will be even harder to get out of. Plus, he won't have the luxury of an empty stadium.
  20. Agreed. I fully expect that after 5 games or so, with just a few points on the board, that the crowd will be on Mowbray's case and then on to Waggott's. It won't be long IMO.
  21. 3) What happens when said loanees get injured or are recalled by their parent clubs? Do we then change to yet another style? The guy is embarassing.
  22. I noticed earlier that La Liga is £6.99/month through Prime. If the coming season is as good as last, that looks a good price to me.
  23. Mowbray doesn't have the luxury anymore of picking various/random line ups from his expensively assembled squad, whereby due to the law of averages, he got a few results. He now, due to a limited squad size of limited ability, will have to find a way to find a settled team playing in a settled way, He's just not capable of doing this.
