  1. I would think that once the planning application is made formally and the process kicks off properly, people will be able to raise objections. For the proposed housing development in Whittle-le-Woods, this is exactly what's happened. People from neighbouring villages (myself for eg being based in Wheelton) have been able to object through Chorley BC's web site.
  2. It's not like he could say anything differently in a public environment though, is it?
  3. The situation with Dack could/should give more opportunity for Rothwell, at least for the remainder of the season. He's just not consistent IMO; he goes missing far too often and flatters with a wonder goal once or twice a season.
  4. I wonder whether the events of the evening might just push Mowbray into calling it a day. Not just the fact that we lost yet again, but also the emotional effect on him due to what's happened to Dack.
  5. Nyambe is the better defender in the truest sense. JRC is a more rounded footballer.
  6. This aside, Trybull was very good yesterday.
  7. Berkovic was a class act.
  8. Hats off for responding but not rising. The level of of personal abuse on this site is sometimes disgusting.
  9. On the pitch, he most definitely is.
  10. Our 99 problems are the reason for tonight. And one man is responsible for those 99 problems.
  11. Exactly this. Coupled with the never-ending mess of a defence and expecting someone else's kids to dig us out of a hole. these are Mowbray's failings down to a tee.
  12. The fact that Evans is still even here after 4 years, let alone in the starting 11, is as criminal as the state of our defence.
  13. As they should have done with the supporter base, they should have engaged with the local community around Brockhall to get them on board from the outset. Hardly surprising though really!!
  14. Hypothetically.....what would people's opinion be if the club committed to reinvesting any profit from the sale of the STC into, say, a rebuild of the Riverside? (I don't believe for one second anything like this would happen, btw)
  15. If he had any, he'd be walking out the door...
  16. My thought exactly. We could get smoked here.
  17. Spot on. I was at Camp Nou last year - admittedly this is on a different scale and planet - but Barca have mock ups of their plans for redevelopment of the stadium and the surrounding area. It's all about engaging with the fan base and bringing them along.
  18. This is the worrying bit IMO. Once a business starts to sell assets to raise cash just to pay the bills, it's only heading one way. I wonder if the club are now latching onto latest government initiatives to push through new housing stock applications. I don't know what the situation is in RV, but over here in Chorley, the council are under pressure to free up more land to so they meet their build quota. See Pear Tree Lane at Euxton as an example.
  19. Precisely. My question is as ludicrous as what I was responding to.
  20. So you'd be happy for us to lose every game until say the end of the season? Wow.
  21. Managers don't get sacked on the basis of one game. To think that is naive in the extreme. They generally get sacked because of results over a longer period of time. I want Mowbray gone as much as the next man. But I'd like us to be in the best possible position for when the next man does comes in. Losing games doesn't give that.
  22. Nothing to discuss. You made a statement that you want the Rovers to lose tomorrow. In my view, that's embarassing. Losing one single game won't make or break Mowbray. How about we win tomorrow instead, and then sack him?
