I think Siggy looked good when he got going last season after a disrupted pre season. Scored a few goals and looked to have a class and composure about him. After his injury he never looked the same, didn't look like he was enjoying life, not trying to beat players. Naturally defense is not most attackers favourite part of the game but he's got to make an effort like the rest. I hoped after a full pre season he would show some of that again but clearly JE isn't seeing enough to have him on the bench but he did well Tuesday albeit very weak opposition. I think he's a bit Brereton or Diaz. When he's confident, feeling loved he'll be Diaz but when the chips are down he'll be Brereton. I'd not right him off yet and definitely think he will be more effective in the middle.

Gueye needs to play if we can get some crosses in, Norwich struggling with that. Their coach identified our weakness on the press so we need that outball/outlet. With the news on SS I'd go Yuki behind big Mak, Dolan left, JRC right. Still gives us Weimann, Siggy and Hedges from the bench. -

Not a fan of Pears like many but I don't think he can be blamed for the 2 Derby goals and don't recall him doing anything else tonight to draw criticism although I'm sure the time will come. Thought it was quite telling that losing Big Mak and his presence at corners left Hyam and Carter exposed. The players that came on didn't have that presence so we left ourselves open at the following set pieces and shipped 2 goals as a result. Can't argue with the impact the subs had at the other end but we do need someone else with stature and presence, e.g. a pacey 6ft 5 left back 😉 -

Frustrating at times but so pleased with the result in the end. 2nd Derby goal took the shine off it for me. Don't want to be critical but was shocked we put another defender on at the end with Derby on the ropes. In my opinion Siggy should have been given a run to replace Dolan, then bang it's 4-2. Not read the entire thread so apologies if mentioned already but defensively I thought both full backs looked well off it and as a fan of JRC I think he was poor tonight. The rest were good to excellent though and really pleased for the lads. -
Todd Cantwell asked to leave. I watched the press conference where Clement left the media room but came back in a few mins later to say he had asked to leave. Rangers gave him a few weeks to reconsider. I'm biased and see the potential in our great club but I doubt he would drop Rangers to come here.

Tim Krul won't be signing, no chance. It's a soundbite generated to give fans something else to focus on. Funny how it emerges as Ruddy was about to sign elsewhere. If we were linked with a league 1 keeper or lower then there would be more noise so it's as safe and realistic a rumour they can generate to keep the fan base from losing it over what's really going on.

I also felt Phillips moved too soon but I'm biased and hindsight is a wonderful thing. To put a different context on it and ignoring the money... Tottenham coaches at any level are likely to teach Phillips more than our own David Lowe! Then he wants to pit himself against the best to improve. At the time, Kane was there, Son, Richarlison etc. Or Gallagher, Ennis, Telalovic Then a walk around the Tottenham facilities which are 2nd to none and a move to big city life versus our decaying surroundings and all the murmurings of trouble with owners and a CEO that can't look you straight in the eye Even Phillips will know his time would have come I'm sure but there was far more going for him by moving than staying

I don't have an issue with it. I think he's within his rights given what occurred and let's not forget the debacle leading up to it with it cancelled mid flight and then sat in a hotel lobby, one foot in Sheffield, one in Blackburn and then back to Orlando. With all that said, the interview shows its not likely and probably best for all parties to move on. We'll potentially pay over the odds to persuade him with money we've not got and half the fan base is already on his back. I don't watch much of the MLS but from what I've seen I think he'd have made a good signing. The sort of player that will sign for Sheff Wed and come back to haunt us with a hattrick next season... Next...

Ot was clear GB was leaving given he barely appeared or spoke after the Summer window and the one interview from what looked like his bedroom. What happened to the Tugay links, could that be linked to him coming as DoF?

Me neither but he scored at the weekend against Stoke too

I know, my point was that now we get beat without those comments -

Remember earlier in the season under JDT even when we were beat, opposing Managers were praising the style and the squad as tough to beat. Men's nothing in terms of points I know but not seen anything like that since JDT and rightly so
