  1. I’m sure Wharton will be sold, he’s an absolute genius of a footballer destined for a higher level than Palace. The original question was whether Venky’s have improved anything at the club since their arrival. And as it stands, the Academy has provided more or less the same value before & after their arrival. They’ve not even improved the fried chicken. They’re useless and they need to sell the club.
  2. Duff, Dunn & Jones sold for £38.5 million combined. No guarantees of any sell on so you cant count that yet. Jones also had a sell on clause at United but it never happened. It’s a moot point but Venky’s haven’t improved the value of the academy since they’ve been here in my opinion, we’ve just been able to play more Academy graduates as we’re at a lower level.
  3. We’ve come close to getting in the Top 6 Chaddy. That is not the same as close to promotion, however which way you try to spin things in your contrarian way. Also your issues with the running of the club are all minor. There are much bigger things going on than how long it takes to queue for a pint and the food choices. Please take this to another thread as it isn’t what this one is for.
  4. Have we actually sold more Academy graduates post Venkys? A lot more have played for the first team but not many have been good enough to sell at any real value. I stand to be corrected but Duff, Dunn and Phil Jones (established 1st team player prior to Venkys taking over) were probably sold for a greater value than any one after?
  5. My thoughts exactly @JHRover The difference in overall mood since being 0-2 down to Sheff Weds at home to now is astounding. All it has taken is a last minute equaliser and a couple of wins.
  6. Would you take a few seasons of pain & potentially being relegated to League 2 if it led to better ownership & running of the club and all of your gripes addressed? I’m just curious to understand the mindset? I get the feeling from friends of a similar view that they wouldn’t be happy if results took a major slide leading to relegation to League 1 and potentially further. For me, unless there is a major cash injection from the owners and their financial issues in India suddenly disappear, that is exactly what is coming. There are very few saleable assets left of the magnitude of Wharton & Smzodics given the lack of any serious investment in the team since the summer transfer window in 2022.
  7. If this is your way @chaddyrovers does it really matter what League we are in? Genuine question.
  8. We can’t force anything. All we can do as fans is keep the spotlight firmly on the negative aspects of The Rao Family’s ownership of Rovers. I firmly believe that they will sell eventually. Ultimately though they own the club and can do with it whatever they like. As a collective, and I believe this is the message @glen9mullan’s coalition is trying to get across, we need to all get behind the common goal of progression for the club & team and the sale of the club to owners who care.
  9. Hoping for another positive result today for the fans that are travelling up! COYB 🌹 Another season with so much potential WASTED by the chaotic mess behind the scenes at our club. There needs to be a common goal of demanding better for the team & the club. Enough is enough. The goal being The Rao Family selling up, progression on the pitch by finally achieving a Top 6 Championship finish and ultimately, with a bit of luck, promotion back to the Premier League under present, passionate & communicative owners who put the best interests of the club and the community it is part of FIRST!
  10. He is exactly that but I do believe he is “educated” to what’s gone on but continues to support the team at Ewood regardless. I have 2 good friends who are exactly the same, it’s infuriating at times but they support the team in their own way. That is completely ok and we have to support individuals following the club in whatever way they choose to do so. Anything else leaves us divided which is exactly what the goons running the club would want. There needs to be a common goal of demanding better for the team & the club. The goal being Venky’s selling up, progression on the pitch by finally achieving a Top 6 Championship finish and ultimately, promotion to the Premier League under present and passionate owners who put the best interests of the club and community it is part of first.
  11. I’m sure there are plans afoot with the coalition but I would like to suggest an actual planned peaceful protest at Ewood on Friday 25th April afternoon - slow news day compared to the day after for the final home game of the season v Watford with there being Premier League games & an FA Cup semi-final then. Thoughts? We can’t just let this die after a couple decent results. Otherwise we are back to square one, rinse and repeat, same old shite behind the scenes, as the last few posts help to highlight.
  12. Yes and allegedly yes (Jones £16.5m / Kalinic £6m combined) over player buys (Goodwillie, Petrovic, Vukcevic, Yakubu, Dann and Slew). This mirrors selling an Academy graduate & a goalscorer last season (Jones & Kalinic vs Wharton & Szmodics) with a bit of inflation added, then getting a lot of shite in as replacements with a couple decent deals in amongst it all (Yakubu & Dann vs Ohashi & Bathh) The parallels are striking. But the casual observer/fan wouldn’t care. They largely believe the propaganda spouted by the club and are happy to clap & cheer along and be blind to the chaos going on behind the scenes. Education is the key. All this nonsense only ends when Venky’s sell up. They and the people they employ aren’t proper football people and/or don’t have a clue what they’re doing.
  13. Agreed & therein lies the problem. The current strength in depth is poor when you factor in injuries. We need to be signing more Ohashis and Riberios - less of the Forshaws and Woodroows. If they’re not really competing for the first team then what’s the point? You might as well have Academy graduates in there, at least they’d care about the club.
  14. As promised previously, this is a place & time for people to meet to peacefully “Express Yourself” ahead of today’s game. There will be another opportunity at the final home game of the season v Watford on Saturday 26th April (location & time tbc) In the ground let’s end the season well and hopefully the team will give the fans something to cheer about COYB 🌹

  16. You’re deluded beyond belief pal He changed a lot from the very first game against Norwich. The players were confused and positionally we were all over the place. The guy needs time admittedly, anyone would struggle with the chaos above him. Similar to Eustace last season who was awful at first. He’s obviously been asked to play a certain way by Rudy and hasn’t got the players to do it currently. Also creating chances means very little when you’re giving the opposition a 2 goal start on a regular basis.
  17. This explains everything. He’s a Dingle who has plotted the entire thing! 😆
  18. Adam Catterall’s (TalkSport Presenter and Rovers Fan) Father-In-Law said he did just that at the Boro game, on a call to the radio station. Not exactly good publicity! Lowering ticket prices has to come with a positive family matchday experience. It simply doesn’t at the minute and all at the club are not aligned on it - an example from the Wolves FA Cup game with a steward “stealing” Cunha’s shirt thrown into the JW Lower Tier to a group of kids including my nephews and taking it down the tunnel! Why would anyone want to bring their kids in the current climate, even for a quid against Millwall on Good Friday? I honestly don’t want to bring them and my own kids back to Ewood again until Venky’s and all associated with them leave our club.
  19. Good result in the end. It’s becoming increasingly difficult for the players & manager to meet the level required with the chaos going on above them. That and giving away 2 goal leads in the first half also doesn’t help!
  20. Exactly - the equivalent in the Blackburn End costs £438 at current prices. To be fair, the Riverside is cheaper but still £338 so more expensive for a very poor stand. It seems the only strategy at Rovers is not to attract new fans but to fleece the ones remaining. I’ve already stopped taking my kids to games due to a poor matchday experience and rising prices. “Not a penny more” increasingly seems like the best option 🥀 🐔
  21. Bolton have sold 14,000 Season Tickets in their Early Bird Phase. Let that sink in. https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/25027682.bolton-wanderers-reach-2025-26-season-ticket-milestone/ A family friendly club with a positive atmosphere in League One. An Adult + 1 Child ticket is £309 behind the goal. I live 5 miles from Middlebrook and there’s always so many kids wearing Bolton kits in the local area. They’re that keen to get to games that my sons Under 10’s Team cancel games when Bolton are playing. They’re obviously doing something right. Suhail should hang his head in shame and resign.
  22. Great work with the banners tonight 👏 Things are building nicely
  23. It’s a place for fans to come together and express theirselves. Nothing more, nothing less. Speaking of expression - I saw the below post on a Sheff Weds forum, it could easily be adapted for Venkys 🥀 🐔
  24. This is a time and place for anyone wishing to peacefully “express yourself” regarding the current situation at our club 🌹 These will continue at every home game from now until the end of the season. The location will be shared here approximately 4 hours before kick off each time and across other forms of social media.
