  1. Our Gary is part of the problem not the solution. He makes a lot of money from a game awash with cash. Am sure his various Manchester businesses profited massively from the derby yesterday!
  2. You wouldn’t get anywhere near my workplace mate. I would take it, laugh at you and then report any concerns about the idiot having a pop at me to a more senior manager! You can understand it a little bit from a player if there’s abuse, for example Kieron Trippier having a chat with the Newcastle fans at Bournemouth last season. Goading your away fans from afar with your hands cupped behind your ears is a different matter!
  3. Are you seriously advocating a manager goading his own fans? I expect a manager to behave professionally in the public eye. He’s been shown to be anything but this quite a number of times at Spurs. Not only that, he gaslighted the media & the fans by then blaming the whole thing on VAR! At least to his credit Big Val took the criticism on the chin during his interview with Sky after Fridays defeat.
  4. Yesterdays game at Old Trafford demonstrated everything that is wrong with modern football. 2 clubs who have spent BILLIONS of pounds to produce one of the worst spectacles of football we’ve seen for a while. Managers so scared of losing that their players have forgotten it’s a game to win. Gary Neville bleating in the Sky Studio about it despite being in direct benefit of the cash rich Premier League with his punditry jobs and Manchester businesses that no doubt made a fortune over the weekend. It is no wonder fans are protesting everywhere. The game is no longer for us it’s about global business interests. We just happen to be owned by a business appears to like losing lots of money and blaming us for it!
  5. They’re 14th in the league. Not acceptable for the money the fans are paying and the revenue generated compared to other smaller PL clubs. Off the pitch facilities mean nothing if the quality on it doesn’t match. As for Postecoglou, is that the same guy who goaded his own fans and attempted to blame it on VAR? The guy’s a drongo mate.
  6. It’s understandable when they’re spending that kind of cash but still below relative local minnows Brentford, Fulham and Palace in the table. Speaking of Palace, in January 2024 the fans protested during a 5-0 loss at Arsenal. Since then they’ve gone from strength to strength proving than fan pressure does work. Either that or because they signed the football god that is Adam Wharton from us 😞
  7. How awful for Spurs fans spending £149m on players this season 😁 I do take their point though - another club being run poorly and short changing the fans year after year. It’s just at a gargantuan level compared to clubs like Rovers in the Championship and below.
  8. Get behind the lads. Support the movement to get Venky’s Out of our club. Both are possible and in all of our interests. It happened v Plymouth. Simple. COYB 🌹
  9. Can we please return this thread to its original aim:- “to discuss protest ideas so those in support can start taking positive action against the current state of the club and owners Venky’s & CEO Steve Waggott. Their short sighted and non-sensical business decisions are slowly killing BRFC from the inside out and it cannot be allowed to go on.” I wrote this on 23rd January 2024, before JDT left, before Adam Wharton was sold. We’re now on our 2nd manager since then and not much has changed, in fact it has and is likely to get a lot worse. In fighting about who met who and when, what’s in the club accounts, how much we’ve made from player trading, attendance decline etc is largely irrelevant. Let’s get back to the original aim of the thread, to get Venky’s out of OUR club. “The ultimate aim is for Venky’s to sell the club to new owners who are present, communicate with the fans and have the best interests of the club & fans at heart AND the community it is part of.”
  10. 1. What's the desired end game. The ultimate aim is for Venky’s to sell the club to new owners who are present, communicate with the fans and have the best interests of the club & fans at heart AND the community it is part of. 2. What's the compromise position. Steve Waggott, Suhail Pasha & Rudy Gestede to resign or be replaced by competent individuals. The ultimate aim needs to be as per point 1. 3. What's your general thoughts on our approach to date. Great so far, it’s clear there is a plan. I’d like there to be a focus on a genuine protest either before or during a match however I understand we are not at that stage as yet and I’m willing to trust a process that is working well so far. An idea I’ve had is for a collection of fan “stories” to be filmed and released. For example my own story would be of a 40 year old man with 2 children, a season ticket holder since the age of 7, “passed the baton” by my Dad who watched Rovers since the 1970’s but is now so disillusioned with the club he no longer attends games. As a father I’d like to take my children to more games but as fan numbers & the atmosphere decreases and the threat of protest increases, Ewood is no longer somewhere I feel comfortable taking them. And also they don’t want to as the match day experience and football on the pitch is rarely that good! 4. What's your thoughts on the Exec interviews yesterday? An embarrassment to the club we all love. Steve Waggott does not appear to be competent as his job as CEO, it is unclear what Suhail Pasha’s role actually is and Rudy Gestede appeared more calm & confident however also appears to be hugely naïve and not experienced enough to carry out his role at this level. 5. Do you want to get more involved? I would be happy to be interviewed for the above fan stories idea and interested in attending any planned protests and already have a 6ft printed banner for this purpose that I had done before the Wrexham FA Cup game in January 2024 just before JDT walked and Adam Wharton was sold. You could see this coming a mile off then! How can you help? See above. I am unable to commit more time currently due to childcare, work and the inability to attend every game. I am going to the Watford Home match.
  11. We’ve had the same as tonight and more vs Plymouth in the stadium. It’s been a good start and I agree, a hugely impactful week but the pressure needs to be maintained and more. Hopefully Glen and co have more up their sleeve. Happy to help in any way I can, and I’ve already got a banner that’s better than a bedsheet!
  12. Can we please stop the ruse now that we have any chance of making the play-offs? Anyone who’s watched the team since January knows its been over for a while. Let’s keep the pressure on, the only way forward is for the owners to sell the club. Every fan remaining with any fight left in them needs to get behind this cause. There will be no club left otherwise. Sorry to say but #ExpressYourself isn’t enough. I couldn’t make it tonight but only a few chants and banners heard on TV is not enough. Even after everything that’s happened, 6 losses out of 7, the worst form in the Championship in the last 20 games. If that’s all we can muster it’s pathetic.
  13. It’s bullshit anyway. The Plymouth game proved you can simultaneously protest against the terrible board & ownership and get behind the lads, we won comfortably 2-0 and there was a huge feel good factor around the stadium. It improves the atmosphere if anything, the players know the fans are fully behind them.
  14. Great effort on SSN @glen9mullan. To be getting this kind of air time is only positive for the fans! Some great points made, you could see the presenters trying to get a word in but couldn’t 😆 The point about Brighton, Bournemouth and Brentford is an excellent response to the question about investment and funding. Well run clubs with a clear model & plan in the top half of the Premier League despite relatively low attendances compared to the big boys. This is what is possible with engaged and competent leadership. The excuses of Waggott & Suhail simply don’t cut it anymore #EnoughIsEnough
  15. You've got Phase 1 to 3 But do it at the right time You can be slow or fast But get on BBC Waggott will hit you and hurt you Defend and attack There's only one way to beat him Get 'round the back Catch Glen if you can 'Cause he’s the Rovers man And what you're looking at Is the master plan We ain't no hooligans This ain't a football song Red Rose on my chest I know we can't go wrong
  16. #ExpressYourself Create the space You know you can win Don't give up the chase Beat the Venkys Take them on You never give up It's one on one Glen’s got the world in motion And we know what he can do Glen’s got the world in motion And I can't believe it's true Now is the time Let everyone see You never give up That's how it should be Don't get caught Make your own play #ExpressYourself Don't give it away Let’s get World In Motion on the Ewood Playlist tomorrow please 🙏
  17. Question - if you could pick any American duo to buy Rovers who would you go for? I’d go for Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) and Kevin Hart. A series commissioned on Apple TV soon after on their mission to return the former Champions to Premier League glory once again. At their first game, The Rock walks on the pitch and screams down the mic in WWE style….“Finally, The Rock has come BACK to Blackburn” Dreaming now, but this is the narrative we have to get out there. There’ll be huge interest in English Football this summer and next with the Club & International World Cups. No better time than now for the Indians to sell up. The end is coming. Let’s keep the pressure on 💪 COYB 🌹
  18. Waggott calls the Championship table “Snakes and Ladders” We obviously keep hitting the Steve Waggott snake every January - the biggest snake on the board sending us from the Top 6 down to mid-table again every season! 🐍 I honestly think Rudy has some credit in the bank, for me he’s certainly naïve with how the head coach change has been handled; a 6-month temporary appointment would’ve been better to steady to ship and not change things too much in terms of the playing style. But he’s clearly trying to do his job and under a competent and trustworthy CEO he would get better and improve. Being an ex-player he knows what is expected on the field and likely has good contacts at this level. Suhail, nice to hear from you mate but you’re clearly a Venkys yes man. Nodding dog throughout the interview and certainly doesn’t have the ability to hold the owners to account, or even speak to them from what I can gather? The shortfall in season ticket budget and utilities could be made just by getting rid of this pointless individual. Or employ a call centre worker on about £30k a year to communicate with India! Venky’s Out! Nothing changes until they leave. #ENOUGHISENOUGH
  19. Look at the state of ‘em. Cowards! @glen9mullan you’ve played a blinder here 👏
  20. We’re going to run out of people to want out! Venkys, Suhail, Waggott, Gestede, Ismael - get the whole lot out and start again. The players also have a lot to answer for. Too many in that squad just happy to be there and pick up a pay cheque for average performances. The whole club, aside from a very successful academy, is toxic from top to bottom.
  21. They’ll know after the interview, which is almost guaranteed to be disastrous if it happens. It’ll be Prince Andrew levels of incredulity and I’m here for it 🍿 🍿 🍿
  22. I feel that JoJo put it best in her song “Leave (Get Out)” from 2004: Get out (LEAVE) right now It's the end of you and Rovers It's too late (NOW), and I can't wait for you to be gone 'Cause I know about them (WHO?) And I wonder (VENKYS) How we bought all the lies You said that you would treat us right But you were just a waste of time (WASTE OF TIME) (some lyrics may have been changed to suit the song)
  23. Just seen this story break on Sky Sports News Great work to all involved 👏 This really puts the club on the back foot and shows unity amongst the supporters. Superb!
