  1. This post of far too sensible for people who will pick fault in every single aspect of the club... also some people seem to (conveniently) forgot the 'market stall' tag given to Macron by many on here when they were announced as kit supplier. Everybody knows the club run as huge losses, so why would they over commit on kit supply with a brand new supplier 🤷‍♂️ that's a rhetorical question by the way. Better to sell out at full price (or minimal discount) than over ordering and having a fire sale at the end of the season to clear 'dead stock'. I do agree that the club need to up their game on the general retail offering with leisure wear etc, but not having the volume of people buying probably makes lot of items prohibitive from a cost point of view.
  2. does anybody definitively know the deal between Rovers and Sodexo?
  3. does anybody know the reason behind the delay of the minutes from the Fans Forum on 16th November?
  4. it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that if you're selling assets to fund the day to day expenses of a football club/business/household then you're in trouble - big trouble. Then again, reading some of the people who blindly follow (in the name of being a loyal fan 😂) the club no matter what, maybe it is. To be serious for a moment though, the club really didn't have a choice if they wanted to comply with the current P&S rules, but you've got to ask yourself why revenue; matchday, corporate and commercial is down so much? Personally i think there is a disconnect between the fanbase (on many levels) and the club. Until the disconnect is seriously addressed, the decline in revenue lines (as SW likes to call them) will continue. I'd love to know the conversations that happen behind closed doors as to why the revenue continues to decline - or maybe everybody just looks the other way and takes their monthly wage without rocking the boat. Who knows.
  5. as someone who bought a ticket for the Fulham game (I thought it would be a good, entertaining game 😂) I wholeheartedly agree with this.
  6. I've watched Apter (I'm sure Blackpool let him go in the summer and he was snapped by AFC Fylde) on a couple of occasions and certainly has pace to burn at that level, quick feet and a constant goal threat... Bamber Bridge are certainly making use of the loan system to their benefit, however I'm told that the ground wouldn't reach National League North standards should they get promotion.
  7. updated table showing attendances against the same team from the last season with fans in... like for like matches, attendances are down more than 25% 🤨 the disconnect between the club and town/fans growing by the match.
  8. for 99.9% of players, it's a job no matter how much badge pointing, badge grabbing or badge kissing they do - it's a job.
  9. with the team performing on the pitch, now is the perfect to run some sort of promotion for the two home games in October - £40 for both games around the ground and £45 in the Jack Walker Upper.
  10. generally been very impressed by Sam Burns when I've seen him for the u23's and for me a better player than Butterworth who seems to have somehow managed to wangle his way into the First Team squad, based on I'm not quite sure what. For me, Burns, McBride and Vale (if he can stay fit) should be ahead of Butterworth.
  11. it's sure to be a close game closely followed up by another tough game at Huddersfield - would be happy with 4 points, 6 would be amazing!
  12. sorry about that WB... changed as you'll see when I update the topic after the game v. Cardiff on Saturday
  13. if anybody has the data, feel free to PM it to me and I'd happily take a look 🙂
  14. just to bring the thread back on track and about attendances, I've been looking at the figures and no matter which way you cut it, it makes for pretty grim reading. The question is, how do the club (realistically) arrest the decline? Given that Venkys have seemingly learnt nothing over the past 10 years, it makes you wonder how bad things will have to get before they change tact.
  15. even when they do something good, they just don't quite nail it. Leaving half the space, presumably for advertising. Why couldn't they have just done it properly?!?!
  16. personally I'd be all for it and would rather stand and have the ability to move about, rather than being tied to a single seat for the season. Unfortunately I don't see anyone at the club having the foresight or indeed the finance department allocating the budget to covert the Riverside into terracing, including any requirements that would be needed for modern day terracing.
  17. until they answer WHY they still pour £millions down a never ending black hole, while choosing not to learn any lessons, I will never understand their motives..... and please, nobody seriously suggest that they are honourable people 🤫
  18. I've got access to Wyscout but nobody to teach me how to use it and learning through trial and error means you never get the best from the website. I'm right in thinking that there is no volume on this video?
  19. they haven't even sorted out the season tickets for those in corporate hospitality... in Jack's Kitchen tomorrow and collecting tickets as they still haven't managed to arrange them 🤨 I know from someone within the club that discontentment amongst the staff is rife in terms of unreasonable work loads - it would maybe explain the rather scattergun nature of the situation with season tickets.
  20. we get a container every 3 months and the prices are just ridiculous, but while retailers (or whoever is buying) pay, then they'll continue charging. Without getting political, are we importing that much more to justify the rocketing container costs or is just profiteering post-Suez?
  21. don't seem to be available to buy and away travel showing as only available to 21/22 STH's... 🤨 do they want people to go?!?!
  22. for anybody who goes the the u23's games, the opener against Everton at Ewood next Monday is free entry for all https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2021/august/Free-entry-for-Everton-opener-at-Ewood-/
