As much of a mess as this whole season is turning out to be. To any of those unemployed managers we must be an attractive proposition. 15 games to potentially get the play offs. With players coming back and hopefully the end of this slump.

His stock is at an all time high. Id expect him to leave but surely he could hang on and get a better job. Let's face facts though they've a bigger fan base, new stadium and if their owner backed him they could definitely take a crack at the play offs next season.

The thing is with a signing (hopefully) like Dennis we are paying is it 30% of his wages? Forest will have held off the deal to see if anybody else would come in and pay more. It could be as simple as that. Or the player was waiting to see what interest there was. Either way it is a dangerous game, sometimes it works or we could've panicked and ended up with a lesser player.

Emmanuel Dennis fit or not would be a brilliant signing for us. Even if takes a few weeks for him to get up to speed. Same as cantwell coming in having not played any pre season at rangers. A fully fit in form Emmanuel Dennis doesn't come here. Simple as that. Praying we get it done. We still need an out and out striker.

Surely any player with a thread of dignity or if their agent had any sense they would be avoiding us at all costs. Seeing from the outside how the club is ran and the previous blunders over the last few years. The only players we ever manage to get are the ones nobody else shows any real interest in. Sad

So frustrating this window. We all saw the slump over Christmas. Any half organised club would have everything lined up waiting for January. Instead we're completely down to the bare bones and by the time anything gets sorted, we could've messed our promising start up. By which point it would be pointless spending the money to push on. On Tuesday night I noticed they still had the posters up advertising the Christmas party. It made me think surely it'd take seconds to change that which is now redundant. To anything, how about the flexi ticket thing that I heard/seen hardly anything about? Even if it generated one sale it'd be worth the paper and time it took to sort. Then I thought that sums this club up and how it is run. The stadium is filthy and they had nearly two years while the pandemic happened to get somebody in to clean it. But yet again everything is just put off or left to go to shit and that goes all the way up to transfers. And if you don't take care of the small details like that we've no chance.

He's scored against Burnley for west brom that's good enough for me. He'd certainly be an upgrade on gueye based on his time at west brom. He's not had a great time at Coventry but then they have struggled for the most part since he's been there. If that's the sort of market we're shopping in and the price range I'd liken it to a szmodics signing. Little risk with potential to sell on for a decent figure down the line.

Absolutely incredible day yesterday, suffering today but well worth it. We could've won but it felt like a win yesterday especially against all the odds (man sent off, useless ref and wrongfully disallowed goal). I think more so for me who was there the season before last. We were so bad that day and every single player got played off the pitch. It was 3-0 but could've been worse. Summed up humiliatingly with kaminski being barged into the net. To see the difference yesterday and to not only compete but out battle and dig deep for the club. So so good. They can say all they want but off yesterday's performance they have fallen massively in those two years. New players or not every player position for position you'd say they were better on paper. Weimann's finish was absolutely insane and I snapped my seat jumping around celebrating. Must've watched it back 50 times already today. Gueye being sent off was daft but as others have said could've been avoided if the ref did his job and hadn't lost the game. If they think they are going to walk the championship like last time I think they're slowly starting to realise it won't be as easy this time around. Couple that with all the off the pitch stuff. Selling all assests and replacing them largely with loan to buy deals. Tells me if they don't go straight back up they are financially fucked.

Baker coming in to be rotated with Travis and sonny I'm a bit fan of. I think jrc far better playing out wide and Buckley has never kicked on or shown signs of. Hoping this one going under the radar is a sign of things to come and a few more follow.

Cantwell on Gallagher's old wages, he might've been on say 20k a week at rangers. With plenty of performance based initiatives and a low release clause should a premier League club come calling suits all.

Every signing we make either permanent or loan is a punt. That's where this club and the majority of clubs are at. All different varying levels of course. Cantwell if he comes and can play anywhere near the level he is capable of would be an incredible signing. Would walk into most sides at our level and probably a few above us. I'm not getting my hopes up because we've been here before but if there's a chance to get him in we should grab it with both hands.

I thought it was going to go down to deadline day at least if we can get a couple in today or tomorrow they can be registered in time for Saturday. Most likely off the bench and knowing rovers we'll either end up it going down to deadline day or missing out completely .

I expect them to be very busy before the deadline on Friday. Still if parker walks that could be good and will be as good of a chance as we've had in recent times to get a result. Last night could almost be a blessing in disguise. Expect a reaction on Saturday. The subs killed us last night too many at once, and that combined with a few players not quite at it cost us. I'm not pleased but can't fault the manager as it's worked so far this season, being proactive with subs and them getting us results.

Id imagine he's weighing up his options holding on for the best possible deal. He was on 50k a week at United. He isnt going to be getting that wherever he ends up. But I think his agent will know his stock is high and without a transfer fee they'll be able to command decent wages and a hefty signing on fee.

Yeah Brandon Williams would be a class signing. Whether he has the best attitude or not, as long as it's not negative on the team then we aren't really in a position to let that be too big of a factor. He is young, English and could potentially be sold further down the line for big money. He'd still be at United if he didn't sign such a big deal that they were never going to offer him this time. Id assume a club in a lot better position than is will end up signing him but if not we should be all over it.

Good on the club for holding firm and it seems getting what they believe the player to be worth. We all expected him to go and seeing him come on and then start the other night shocked the majority of us. It was a huge risk playing him at all but against a second string Stockport side in the league cup. But he has used the chance to show exactly what he's about and what he is worth and fair balls to him for that. Hopefully we can bring a goal scorer and a keeper in and it will turn out to be a positive move for everyone including us.
