  1. Trouble is to get that you have to pay over the odds or wait until a player nears the end of his contract. We're best shopping abroad if it means players can use us as a window to get a big move. Much better than the loans where we get nothing in return for a player doing well here. I've no idea who the lad is the one thing I know is we need numbers. I'm trying not to panic. I'm getting excited for Saturday now, i just hope Burnley lose Friday night to take the pressure off in my house 😅.
  2. Southampton seem to be going that way now. They just signed that young Belgium midfielder from city too. But yeah delap would be class on loan. I was scared he'd go to Burnley on loan and he still might. Don't be fooled by who his dad is 😂, he's going to be a player.
  3. Surely he'd be ahead of Matt Clark? He's not exactly set the world alight on his various loan spells. Even still fifth place and that's if they don't add. We can dream.
  4. That's only if he has another season as good as last. Or rather before Christmas and away at Birmingham. It's a risk on his part too. Not saying he wouldn't get snapped up for free. But if he has a bad season the calibre of club will drop too. The worst possible scenario is we sign him for seven million and he leaves for free. That can't happen again after this summer. He doesn't strike me as the kind of player who would force a move or down tools. His stock was arguably higher in January and at least to my knowledge I never heard any talk of him wanting to leave.
  5. It was just shy of two million they paid and he was on 20k a week at City. Not sure how much his Fulham contract is/was but it'd be more than that. No way we could get him once they were in for him.
  6. Can't believe boro want another winger...
  7. Unfortunately any player who has done well here on loan, always either get into the first team of their parent club or get a move elsewhere. Hopefully with a bit of stability behind the scenes and a decent season under the new management may change this. It'd be incredible if we got him back on loan and even more so on a permanent. He doesn't strike me as the type of player who'd be happy sitting on the bench at Brighton. If he is available I'd love him back, my post was just me being sarcastic.
  8. To get van hecke on a permanent, we'd have to make him the highest paid player. Club captain. Play in orange. Be in the premier league.
  9. Yeah theyve broke their wage structure just for him, which never ends well. They must be paying a good portion of Henderson's 160k a week wage. Other than that the next highest earner won't be on half what lingard is.
  10. We've been spoilt with a signing yesterday and now I'm checking every half an hour or so, to see if we've signed anyone else 😂.
  11. Yeah Morton is alot better than Clarkson. Wouldn't be a bad signing aslong as it doesnt hamper a move for styles. I'd of said this time yesterday no way we could get styles but now I'm getting carried away 😂.
  12. Dack was arguably one of if not the best player in the championship the first season or so we came up. Obviously two big injuries later he might never reach that level again. But he scores goals and gets in good positions. Whether he presses or is mobile enough is another issue. With two years left on his deal and very unlikely that any team will be in for him, it makes sense to keep him around. Even if for the last ten minutes. He is a dogged who even if not having the best game will win fouls and draw defenders. He was brilliant at keeping the ball at the corner flag and running the clock down.
  13. He looks too good to play wingback for me. Strikes me as more if an attacking mid. A replacement for rothwell. Handy that he can play both though. I don't want to get carried away but hope this comes off.
  14. It's funny you should say this in the day they started painting the stadium 😂 I agree though it looks a mess and needs sorting.
  15. Glen who mate, I need to start using Twitter more. It's just people arguing on here 😂
  16. Poveda had one good game at ewood, I can't remember who against. But he scored and might have got an assist too. He was terrible before that and then obviously got injured. He'd be a good prospect if he was like 18/19 but he's a few years older and not good enough. Loads of players have managed one good game in the last season or so. Off the top of my head Paul downing when he got that assist, magloire mid week against I want to say wigan and even Clarkson when he played that ball through with the outside of his boot. Avoid.
  17. 67.2 million medicals might take a while. Not sure it'd be done for next Saturday.
  18. To go back a few pages and keep going on about it. We should have still kept nyambe. I'd of prefered to see him on the right side of a back three. But anyway.
  19. Yeah let's hope the rumor has legs. Definitely better going forward than nyambe and if we play a back five could be decent.
  20. I bet you click on the pornhub adverts/pop ups.
  21. Never really bothered about wigan before. But now I hope we pump them 3-0, home and away and they go straight back down. Crazy that this has happened.
  22. Yeah I think with the deadline changing back to the end of August, after it had been brought forward to the first game of the season. People including myself are probably use to having most of our business done sooner. It doesn't help when you see clubs around you getting on with it too.
  23. The squad like us would've known mowbray was on his way out, even before it was half confirmed. Same with the new manager coming in they would've known ahead of the fans. If it was such hell under mowbray. A new manager coming in would've been a dream for the three who have left. Especially nyambe who everyone seems convinced for some reason was treated poor by mowbray. To a lesser extent rothwell too who until last season it seemed mowbray wasn't the biggest fan of.
