If nyambe signs for wigan it just shows how much of a mess it is behind the scenes. To let an academy graduate, who is steady enough without being spectacular. With potential to get better still. Walk for free to not only a smaller team who have just been promoted. But half a rival. Wow. Maybe we'd all be laughing if we'd actually got a half decent replacement in or lined up. We could at least rationalise it, by saying the money was used elsewhere so we were right to let him leave. He's been chinned and has gone to shitty wigan.

As had already been said signing hourihane would've gone completely against the model they apparently want to set up. Worryingly missing out on transfers is becoming all to regular. Surely they had an idea of what Davies wages were, before they enquired or whatever they did or didn't do. Again though if we're to believe they want to sign young players with potential value to then sell on. Davies wouldn't fit this ideology either.

Depends how we want to set up really. If we want to press from the back and play further up the pitch. Then they have to be able to play at least a bit and be able to run. That was the problem with the three at the back in last season. They were all fairly immobile, so had to sit deep to defend and head it away rather than play out or chase attackers. Not that thats a bad thing or there's anything wrong with that but it's all about how the new manager wants to play.

It was early and that's why should was in capitals. I meant should get out rather than walk if I'm being honest. I understand it's a lot tougher than when we went down. Even only a few years on. Bar wigan and Shrewsbury randomly having a decent season, the standard was nowhere near as good as what it is now.

People are proper flapping aren't they 😂 I dread to think what would happen on here if we don't win tomorrow. Both games. Surely we'd be better waiting and getting the right player/ players. Rather than signings for the sake of signings. None of those who have gone derby would fit with what we want to do here. Let's face it Derby SHOULD walk that league.

I think him being better defensively he'd suite playing right side of a back three. Wilder is a great manager and would do really well with nyambe. He can play enough without being spectacular. Especially with such good attacking wing backs ahead of him. It'll mean there's not pressure on him to deliver going forward.

I think most clubs will go a similar route with having more subs available. You can certainly give players minutes, without having to jeopardise the overall starting team. If we're two or three up give some kids a chance. Hopefully we unearth some gems along the way. I wouldn't think JDT and GB would only go this route though. They must of been given assurances before taking the job. I just hope we can get some deals done to calm us all down.

Yeah surely you perform well and then deserve a better deal. Whether you choose to accept it or not is another thing. I can't see players being up in arms over someone coming in on better money than them. That's the way football has always been and I think it's a cop out for the club when missing out on players. We were arguably worse off at the start of last season squad wise, then the season before. Alot of us predicated we'd stuggle. We then massively over achieved in the first half of the season. Which papered over the cracks, which began to show after Christmas. I worry for us this season if we don't add quality to the squad. If you're not progressing then you're only going to go backwards. New coach or not he's only as good as the players at his disposal.
