Let's hope he gets backed and can give the current squad a kick up the arse. If someone doesn't want to be here ship them out. I think the whole contract bollocks with lenihan, nyambe and rothwell over shadowed most of the second half of the season. Get a squad of players full committed and bring on the dingles.

Yeah it says something about lenihan when both tosin and van hecke, two fairly inexperienced lads come in and do a better job. He is decent enough at this level and was obviously club captain but i don't think him leaving is earth shattering. He definitely needs replacing though as will van hecke and nyambe.

I mean as in every loan player bar Kasey palmer came in and did well here. The problem being none stay beyond the initial loan. The few freebies and cheap signings he got. Ie pickering and dack have been value for money. Kaminski again absolute class. There are examples where they haven't done as well but on the whole I'd say they did/have. Whether that's down to mowbray or his staff I wouldn't know.

The thing with the director or football means any manager/coach coming in, focuses almost entirely on tactics, the playing style and the players themselves. Looking back at January and how frustrated we were all left, at the lack of signings made to push on. Hopefully if we have a decent director of football in place this wouldn't happen. That said it only works well if the two work well together and more importantly any signings work. Mowbray was an absolute dinosaur but the one place I'll give him credit, he and his staff made very few poor signings.

Whatever I think of his reign overall. That year in league one was brilliant, with some great away days. As a manager for me though, he was bang average. A stubborn man, who clearly felt he'd earnt the right to stick by players/systems that didn't work. The majority of his signings varied from decent to brilliant. With very few poor signings in the five years. I think personally he should've gone the end of last season but here we are. The next manager is a massive appointment and could hopefully be the catalyst that wakes this sleeping giant of a club. Equally it could set us back and we'd be clamouring for Tony to help. but let's not think like that ๐

I was saying this watching it. You don't gain anything by wasting time and trying to run the clock down. Especially with a jumped up little ref like yesterday. He'd sooner play way more than whatever time was wasted to prove a point. -

Yeah we're fucking dog shit. Only things to look forward to, hopefully mowbray gone and Burnley down. -
v Derby County (h) - 15/3/22

Terrible first half just glad they scored when they did and forced his hand. If we would've gone in 0-0, he'd of hung on and waited until we conceded. The lads came out looking fired up and that's as good of a half as we've seen all season. -

Yeah we seemed back to our defensive best against west brom. Just need to start scoring now which given the next two home games surely we should be able to do. I think once one goes in a few will follow. The fact is we've played well and lost two of our last three. Of that's as bad of a dip as we have I'll be happy. -
Where will we finish?

If we can keep doing well at home and dack brings a few goals, then just inside the play offs. Which at the beginning of the season none of us would of expected. Then it's a lottery from there.
