  1. Are the cracks beginning to apppear under Sam Allardyces watch ?
  2. You've got an extremely limited knowledge of Blackburn Rovers football club and Blackburn in general which for me and you being a Burnley fan..is good.
  3. Got to ask, why does Dunny not want to sign a contract? why does Hoilett not want to sign a new contract ? why is MGP looking elsewhere? What are the problems at the club or should I say WHO are the problems at the club ?
  4. If true, you wonder WHY wasnt the replacement lined up first as this doesnt look good on the club or Allardyce.
  5. The police blocked off access from Green lane and both ends of Preston old road. The rumour is it was set up by the police, and the police had obviously targeted the pub. To back this up two rumours are that the graffitti at Burnleys ground was linked to the Station pub. Plus one convicted and photographed hooligan and his mates were also in the pub at the time. Very worrying that the police intelligence were videoing poeple entering the Aqueduct pub on Sunday.
  6. Paul Rushton 45, absolutely scandalous policing. Rushy is never a hooligan or a trouble maker. Interesting to see the police videoing everyone going into the Aqueduct after sundays game.
  7. Now your talking Rev Reading between the lines what you said to o2g, about John Williams fans forum comments regarding selling players to bridge the wage bill. I ask, is Benni being sold just to bridge the wage bill gap?
  8. Yes, but, there could be a cunning plan with A.N.Other lined up whose younger and going to be better for the future of the club. IF its Beattie, then I think we can all give up watching the 'up and under' football at Ewood Park.
  9. He does need to pick up his fitness though. Sam could have done and handled things differently though . A good end to the season for Benni MaCarthy in Blackburn Rovers colours. Then off to the world cup as home grown idol of the world cup, i'd have thought would have been excellent PR for the club or am I getting this all wrong .
  10. Did anyone witness the corner inside the last five/ten minutes were Benni takes it and it sails over everyone out for a goalkick on the opposite side of the goal. Rovers had three players standing together about three yards out from the penalty spot Nelsen was one, as Benni approached to kick the ball ALL three players went together attacking the same space, when one of them should have tailed off to the back post for what would have been a possible attempt at goal. Did anyone else see it that way?
  11. True, I, was going to finish off with words to that effect but then backed off. Benni showed a willingness though that was clear for all to see in yesterdays game regardless of his goal.
  12. Benni MaCarthy played like a man who had his desire back. A moment second half, when he chased a Wigan Defender down, the defender then passes it to his fellow defender right back, Benni chases again doing a ten yard dooggy run, then that defender passed on to another Wigan player to which Benni looks around looking for the support of his fellow team mates. It was highly noticeable that the nearest players Di Santo, and Hoilet, just stood there watching Benni chasing around offering no support to him whatsoever. He could possibly be a potential captain if he kept this kind of work rate up.
  13. I think we all agree that with Dunny out, then the next best thing to a kind of play maker is Benni MaCarthy at Rovers but Benni career history is that at whatever club hes been at come year three hes no longer has that edge that hunger or motivation to his game that he becomes complacent. Can big Sam find the motivation and inspiration to turn Benni around into Benni achieving those top, top drawer performances that we all know hes capable of achieving for Rovers. Suppose you need to know whats inside Bennis head before you begin to formulate your plan of action for the bafana bafana star. With the quality youngsters around Benni like Di Santo, Kalinic, Nzozni and Hoilett, i'd have thought with maybe two more experienced players around Benni to support him then for me this bunch could add some excitement to the team bringing an unpredictability to the side. But the big question is CAN big Sam get more out of Benni MaCarthy for the sake of Blackburn Rovers 1st football team. The way things stand we definitely need him.
  14. It looks like this could be Rovers last throw of the dice, MaCarthy out Beattie in = championship here we come! Some completely out of spec thoughts on the effectiveness of James Beattie way out just cant believe them. Next season Andrews in the middle, with Beattie up front, in the championship, with Rovers stuck in the lower reaches of that division - how far we fell and so quickly and the young kids on here telling tales of how we will be back straight away. January 2010 could be a critical month in the managerial decision making of Blackburn Rovers football club.
  15. Totally agree, I've said that Benni should stay for the rest of the season as he is simply the best goalscorer we currently have to offload him now would be madness equally bringing in Beattie would be madness of ther highest order. The other key thing is Benni has a target now in the world cup, so surely Benni is going to be on top of his game from now on as he counts down to that world cup in the summer.
  16. Back then my uncle was a policeman he says the scousers would be on the platform at Blackburn waiting to go home with a wardrobe or piece of furniture robbed from some unfortunate sole ready to take it back to Liverpool. Back at Blackburn nick with the arrestees as the cell door opened to put the offender or acused into his cell, my uncle would punch the guy into the cell, nice eh ! must say he was an ex boxer in his day but thats what happenend in those days. Source my uncle or should say deceased uncle.
  17. In defence of Sam Allardyce, i'd hate to have be in his shoes having to rely on these two to get a result for the team. Its a very uncomfortable situation for Sam Allardyce to be in that I think we should have some empathy for.
  18. True, but given his age and that hes still a saleable asset, then surely now is the time execute a move and turnaround the forwards. Heskey for MaCarthy would certainly suit Rovers right now. Next on the outward bound list would surely have to be Roberts but for who thats for the management to show their worth.
  19. It definitely wasnt Sylvester who did that, Sylvester (Shaun) turned into a ManU fan in the mid seventies.
  20. Yes that is what had gone previously to Maclaren. the FA think tank thought that continuity at International level was KEY to International success and still do. We better start worrying when you see how close Stuart Pearce is to Capello.
  21. Think everybody's comments on Sven and Maclaren are correct, but one thing is the logical reason behind the FA appointing Maclaren which goes back to the days of when Bobby Robson and his team left the England set up. The FA suddenly found they had no one around with any experience of International football that were worthy of being employed. With Maclaren having been around the international scene with Sven for many a year he was their natural logical choice no mattter how unsuitable he really was.
  22. Dont know if its true, maybe the older supporters could deny or confirm but Rovers did have an element of Hooliganism in the sixties. One or two of the older guys in town claim that its they who invented hooliganism in the sixties that grew in the seventies. That Millwall game in 67, was it not one of the first games of the season after Rovers were relegated, if so i'm told there was a mini riot by the Rovers fans at Millwall that game with a car being overturned .
  23. Just seen George Daws aged 45 and 3/4 (mental age of a 6 year old) running, sorry skipping onto the pitch sticking the v's upto a Millwall player... whats all that about? Whats that group of West Ham supporters called again ......ICF... I Cant Function... so I follow West Ham.
  24. What I want to know is, WHY did the referee not take the players off the field and abandone the game when the empty headed retards came onto the pitch not just from one part of the ground but from several parts. Surely if this was to happen then supporters of any affected club would be encouraged to 'gang up' on any numpties and report them to the appropriate authorities.
