Not at all. He'd been lied to repeatedly. He'd not been given any long term assurance. He'd made very specific requests for improvement to the squad, not too much to ask given we've brought in 40 million over the last 12 months. Said requests were met with nothing. Even at the 11th hour he gave them a chance to show some ambition and long term planning and was told to get fucked. I'm amazed he lasted as long as he did.

Thing is, the players are in the same boat as the manager. Most of them have contracts that expire soon and it's likely they've not received anything from the club addressing this. Eustace gave the club one last chance, a big demand was that they sort out this contract issue and show some long term support for the playing and coaching staff. These requests were dismissed outright. I don't think it's a case of him abandoning them, I'd suspect most of them will get out at the first opportunity as well. Everyone in the playing and coaching team are a solid unit, that much is obvious. Any rumours that were spread contrary to this were probably put out there by the club as yet more divided and rule tactics. Eventually this is not going to work anymore as they keep doing the same thing over and over again and they're not smart enough to come out with any new excuses.

Not buying this "badly advised" bullshit. They've had 15 years to rectify that and have just carried on doing the same thing the whole time. Everything that's happened is directly down to their deliberate actions and orders. Suhail runs the show for them as their lap dog. He doesn't wipe his arse without their permission.

I wouldn't at all be surprised if Rovers are dragging this out just to cause as much disruption as possible to prevent any kind of challenge on promotion.
