Toth looked poor today which is disappointing since Pears has looked like a liability lately and we cannot keep gifting away cheap goals. Thought Kargbo had a decent debut. With more pace in the side our opponents should be more afraid to press high up the pitch. -
Not good enough from Pears for their second goal. Should have been a routine save. He has been poor for several matches now so maybe it's time to give Toth a chance.

Dennis was very good when he played for Watford and he's only 27 years old. Not sure why he hasn't played since april last year though. -

Eustace after signing Sanderson and Forshaw: "The two lads have cost the club next to nothing. They're very good deals that we have been able to get. That will, hopefully, put us in a strong position to focus on the two key positions we want to bring in which is in the forward areas." "The most important area is the top end. These are good deals for the football club but now we are focusing at the top end where we, hopefully, will bring in top quality to help the group." To then be scraping bottom of the barrel for dross like Woodrow is laughable and Eustace will surely feel betrayed. -

Finally the final day of the transfer window is here. The only day where the true quality players are obtainable. Sure glad we didn't panic and sign dross like Whittaker or Aasgaard. -

Terminating Forshaw's contract (or just unregistering him) and bringing in someone useful would be a smart move. Your backup players shouldn't be a total liability when you need to play them. Injuries and suspensions are part of football after all. -

It's a ridiculous fee for Latte Lath. Also, more than 5% of the fee will be reinvested into the squad. -

I guess we could counter this by agreeing to pay severe financial penalties if he's not playing for us. But of course it's a terrible situation if the snake Suhail is essentially forcing Eustace to play a player regardless of his performances. -

Inferi replied to ...'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Yes it might be harsh. Especially considering Preston has had a good run of form. But we defended very deep against what looked like a quite poor side and they carved out enough goalscoring chances to make it feel like the game could have gone either way in the end. I agree that we looked way worse after Travis came off and JRC came on. And the way we ended the match may have unfairly affected how I viewed the overall performance. But of course the 3 points is what matters! -

Happy with the 3 points but not impressed by the performance. If it wasn't for some poor finishing from Preston in dangerous areas it could have ended very differently. Also a bit lucky with the penalty decision that could have gone either way. Gueye had a good game again. Very poor from Pears for their goal, thankfully it didn't matter in the end. -

When Mowbray was appointed as WBA manager half of the transfer window had already passed. Even if what you said is true there was plenty of time to complete a transfer if the club had any ambition. -

Will be "like a new signing" when he is Dolan's replacement next season. -

So after signing two warm bodies for as small a cost as possible, we decide to make a move for Kargbo. It should be quite easy to sign him since it will be a cheap signing. Also noone else is interested in signing him. He will also be very interested in the move since his wages are very low. Considering the above: How the fuck has nothing happened with less than a week left of the transfer window? The way the club conducts itself is so embarrassing. -

Kargbo is not even a regular starter for a midtable Serie B club. Serie B is a quite poor league, definitely worse than the Championship. It makes sense that he and his agent would want the move since he would significantly increase his wage. So underwhelming. -

Elliott Jackson giving Buckley's performance an 8 out of 10 is laughable. Thought he was awful. -

Pears had a very poor game but this loss is on the owners. The club's lack of activity and ambition in the transfer window is a disgrace after pocketing huge transfer profits. Even more so considering the current state of the squad. Having to start Buckley and Forshaw in midfield is unacceptable. Neither would start games for any other Championship club. Zero support to the manager from the owners and zero points from three very winnable games. Disgusting. -

Especially the punch was very poor. For the followup he could have done better but I really think the defending from JRC was unacceptable. Pears has generally been good this season, but I think his recent mistake for Oxford's (barely) offside goal was worse than Toth's mistake against Coventry. -

When other clubs are making seemingly ambitious signings it's important to keep in mind that the true quality players will not be made available until the last day(s) of the transfer window. Signing a player in a week rather than now also means one less week to pay his wage. And other clubs may be more desperate to get rid of their deadwood. -

To clarify I meant that when he played for AIK he and the club agreed to terminate the contract as he wasn't playing much. -

When Sigurdsson played in Allsvenskan he was one of the best players in the league. Meanwhile this guy barely featured for a midtable side and they agreed to terminate his contract. -

Maybe it's technically true. Would not even be surprised if it turned out Plymouth paid a small fee to get rid of Forshaw. -

Forshaw looked shocking yesterday. Reminded me of the corpse of Danny Murphy showing up in a Rovers shirt for one last payday. I don't rate Garrett but at least his legs haven't gone. -

Ok so to sum up this thought process: It doesn't matter that Pears is a total liability because we need to look at the bigger picture. We might be able to sell him for a small fee down the line if he can improve. We need to recover some of the money we spent on the transfer fee and his wages. Just stupid penny pinching. -

The notion that Pears is a "safe" option and that it's "too risky" to start the new keeper doesn't make any sense if you consider how poor Pears is. The situation would be a bit different if Pears was a solid but bang average keeper.
