Probably yes. I don't know Greg Broughton though. -

Just speculation, but maybe that creates an opening for Greg to make a loan move for Watford flop Vakoun Bayo. He had a good spell in Belgium before joining Watford. -

By that logic, Lewis Travis is 5 years ahead of Morton in development. Morton has been a poor signing, and maybe Broughton should accept that like he did when he decided to let the "number one striker target" Hirst leave this window. It's quite reasonable to assume that Morton is the first name on the teamsheet to avoid financial penalties, but I guess it could just be due to poor judgement from JDT. -

The Thomas loan makes no sense unless there is a plan to vastly improve the squad to fight for a playoff spot. Acquiring a central midfielder and a striker should be much higher on the priority list. Vale should be nowhere near the squad considering his lazy and poor performances and while Gallagher is a lot better than Vale, he is still a mediocre striker at this level. The central midfield is overpowered game after game, even against poor teams. -

The usual tactical approach on display. Slow passing by a team lacking in pace, skill and physicality. Morton jogging around on the pitch, as usual being overpowered by the opposing midfield, and offering very little creativity in possession. How is he the first name on the team sheet? He will be gone after this season, so how is he helping "the project"? -

Another embarrassing capitulation with plan B nowhere to be seen. So disappointing that JDT seems to learn nothing from these kind of performances. -

The standard of refereeing in this league is horrific. In order to be sent off for throwing the ball at an opponent, "excessive force" is required. Was excessive force used? In no way was the opponent endangered. We should definitely appeal. -

Ridiculous decision to send off Buckley. He playfully bounced the ball on their player's head after he was elbowed by him as he passed by. A brief conversation with both players would have been appropiate. Of course the red card will be rescinded but the damage has already been done. -

The players look like they can't be bothered. What a horrible tactical approach as well. Why would you want these limited wooden legged defenders to play suicidal short passes like this? -

What a pathetic clown show this game has been so far. Totally outclassed. -

Hopefully Hirst can be sent back to Leicester and we can acquire a striker that can actually offer something. If it's not possible to send him back, then maybe Leicester will recall him if we keep him in the u21 squad. They might want to find a more reasonable loan move for him at a lower level. -

Hopefully Dack starts against Rotherham. We really need to create more scoring chances. Hirst should definitely not be starting. I hope he can improve, but for now he looks like an awful signing. Maybe he can get some confidence/motivation in the u21 team? -
Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?

Birmancevic has a lot of potential. He mostly plays as a left winger. Good technique, good finisher, and quite fast. However, he can be seen as a bit of a "luxury player". He doesn't work hard defensively, which can leave the left back playing behind him exposed. This season, his performances has been very inconsistent. The previous Malmö manager subbed him off around halftime on at least 2 occasions due to poor performances. The manager in question has since been sacked, and Birmancevic has performed better lately. Because of his potential, I think Malmö FF would want a lot of money to sell him. It is a rich club, so they don't really need to sell players. I don't think Rovers have any chance to get him. Hyam sounds like a promising signing, hopefully we get it over the line soon. We really need a striker. As someone else mentioned, I would be looking at buying Jonson Clarke-Harris. Good finisher. Shouldn't be too expensive. Hirst on a loan sounds disappointing. We also need a left back and an experienced aggressive central midfielder. -

I live in Sweden and follow Allsvenskan. Berget is a very hard worker on the pitch, but lacks pace and technique. I think he would have a hard time keeping up with the pace of the championship. He is a decent crosser from a wing position, but he needs faster players around him to set him up. I also think he is past his best. Would be an unambitious signing in my opinion, but he might be cheap to buy. Also, he has a good beard. -

I think Birmancevic is very unlikely to sign for us. If I had to guess, Malmö would probably want £ 6 million or more to sell. As there would be other suitors, we could probably not offer a competitive wage even if an offer was accepted. Also...while he is a good player, there are other positions which should probably be priotitized first ( defenders, central midfield, striker) if the squad has to be assembled on the cheap. Considering the state of the squad, I find it worrying that we haven't signed any players with just over 2 weeks until the start of the season. -

Being from Sweden and having seen Ahmedhodzic play for Malmö FF on several occasions (in Allsvenskan as well as european club competitions), it would be surprising to see him move to the Championship. He is a good defender. Aggressive, quite fast and not clumsy/scared with the ball at his feet. In my opinion he would definitely be an upgrade compared to Lenihan. For a long time there were rumors about him moving to Atalanta for much more than £3m. Would be surprised if we could get him, but if it's somehow possible I'm convinced it would be a good signing.
