  1. Where have you got the "wins more points than he costs" figure from?
  2. I didn't say he was or wasn't the best in the league, or the world. It's this idea that Pears seems to supposedly be the only keeper who makes mistakes. Especially early on this season, Johansson was being vilified by Stoke fans. Be it Pears, Johansson or anyone else, at our level of recruitment, the keeper will make bad mistakes.
  3. Johansson has been slaughtered by Stoke fans on a good few occasions this season, have a look at his thread on their forum, although he was brilliant on Wednesday. Pears has been solid all season on the whole, you've made up your mind and changing the circumstances to suit your opinion. All this liability and ticking time bomb talk has been going on for months, without him actually being a liability. They all make mistakes, Johansson is right up there.
  4. 0 1 Ohashi. On another note, I can't hear the name CJ Egan-Riley without thinking of the goal of the month music.
  5. Just how one ref sees fit to give a handball against Hedges at Watford, and another not give at least one penalty for handball tonight, is a thing of mystery.
  6. Just screenshot that and sent it my daughter, said the same word for word walking back to the car.
  7. Whoever finishes above Sheff Utd will go up, don't think there's much doubt.
  8. Didn't he get an assist for Dolan's goal against Derby?
  9. The criticism he receives is out of proportion, there is no doubt.
  10. Hedges has been poor, Dolan is as likely to be as good as anyone else, or as poor as anyone else. Why he's being cast as the anti-Christ I don't know.
  11. Don't think he'll change much,we badly need a win and the Pears plus a back 6 brought us 5 on the bounce. I'm thinking he'll go same again, hoping that it was the quality of the recent opposition that was the problem, especially Sheff Utd. Beat Stoke and we're back into very good start territory. Lose and it might be time for a change of tack
  12. They'll be top 3 without a doubt, finish above Sheff Utd, you're going up. They're actually 2nd without the points deduction.
  13. The team shape was the same as every other home game this season, which has brought a fantastic return. With the subs at his disposal, I just think the guf in class was too big whatever he had done. The good start has gone to a few heads, today always had the chance to be a mismatch.
  14. Spot on,especially against a team with such a gulf in squad depth and quality. Came off today thinking write it off, Stoke on Wednesday is a much more credible challenge. There is an obvious lack of quality up front, yet Eustace is being criticised for playing defensively, despite that apparently being the first time we've conceded at home in 5 games.
  15. I don't think he deserves lump, he was brilliant in the home game against Sheff Utd then got badly injured next game. The talent was definitely there, such a shame when a player with talent gets lost to the game through injury.
  16. Cantwell couldn't have been more central when he played Weimann in. Anyone would think he's on a lead tethered to the touchline.
  17. To point out the obvious, if you don't concede as many, you don't need to score as many. I'd imagine that the back 7 is here to stay, it's just as well Eustace knows how to set up defensively,it isn't as if we can go to outscore teams with 3's and 4's. Right now, with the squad as it is and until players (hopefully) acclimatise to the Championship, it has to be our best chance of success. Let's see Leonard in the match day squad ASAP, he could have a chance, pity he got injured when he did.
  18. After the Swansea game, a girl was holding up a sign asking Cantwell for his shirt. He said I'm not allowed, but he then came over and gave her his training top.
  19. Ohashi has a chance, as does Leonard, but both would have benefited from Gallagher still being here. To lose both him and Szmodics at the same time was always going to be a stretch with our "budget". Considering the resources compared to other teams, Eustace and his team have had a great start.
  20. I watched with Watford commentary, there's no way was it handball,a ridiculous decision. Ref took ages to give it for no apparent reason other than he wasn't going to give it. I'm convinced he got a call.
  21. Thought we were the better team, we certainly had the better chances, at a team who are very good at home. The penalty is a ridiculous decision, even more so because I'm convinced the ref got a call from one of his mates. There's no way was he giving it, he left it too long. Thought we deserved at least a draw, certainly an improvement on the last 2 away games.
  22. It seems to have been "not far away" for quite a while now.
