  1. Didn't he get an assist for Dolan's goal against Derby?
  2. The criticism he receives is out of proportion, there is no doubt.
  3. Hedges has been poor, Dolan is as likely to be as good as anyone else, or as poor as anyone else. Why he's being cast as the anti-Christ I don't know.
  4. Don't think he'll change much,we badly need a win and the Pears plus a back 6 brought us 5 on the bounce. I'm thinking he'll go same again, hoping that it was the quality of the recent opposition that was the problem, especially Sheff Utd. Beat Stoke and we're back into very good start territory. Lose and it might be time for a change of tack
  5. They'll be top 3 without a doubt, finish above Sheff Utd, you're going up. They're actually 2nd without the points deduction.
  6. The team shape was the same as every other home game this season, which has brought a fantastic return. With the subs at his disposal, I just think the guf in class was too big whatever he had done. The good start has gone to a few heads, today always had the chance to be a mismatch.
  7. Spot on,especially against a team with such a gulf in squad depth and quality. Came off today thinking write it off, Stoke on Wednesday is a much more credible challenge. There is an obvious lack of quality up front, yet Eustace is being criticised for playing defensively, despite that apparently being the first time we've conceded at home in 5 games.
  8. I don't think he deserves lump, he was brilliant in the home game against Sheff Utd then got badly injured next game. The talent was definitely there, such a shame when a player with talent gets lost to the game through injury.
  9. Cantwell couldn't have been more central when he played Weimann in. Anyone would think he's on a lead tethered to the touchline.
  10. To point out the obvious, if you don't concede as many, you don't need to score as many. I'd imagine that the back 7 is here to stay, it's just as well Eustace knows how to set up defensively,it isn't as if we can go to outscore teams with 3's and 4's. Right now, with the squad as it is and until players (hopefully) acclimatise to the Championship, it has to be our best chance of success. Let's see Leonard in the match day squad ASAP, he could have a chance, pity he got injured when he did.
  11. After the Swansea game, a girl was holding up a sign asking Cantwell for his shirt. He said I'm not allowed, but he then came over and gave her his training top.
  12. Ohashi has a chance, as does Leonard, but both would have benefited from Gallagher still being here. To lose both him and Szmodics at the same time was always going to be a stretch with our "budget". Considering the resources compared to other teams, Eustace and his team have had a great start.
  13. I watched with Watford commentary, there's no way was it handball,a ridiculous decision. Ref took ages to give it for no apparent reason other than he wasn't going to give it. I'm convinced he got a call.
  14. Thought we were the better team, we certainly had the better chances, at a team who are very good at home. The penalty is a ridiculous decision, even more so because I'm convinced the ref got a call from one of his mates. There's no way was he giving it, he left it too long. Thought we deserved at least a draw, certainly an improvement on the last 2 away games.
  15. It seems to have been "not far away" for quite a while now.
  16. Given the vast difference in squad value, that was a good point, felt obliged to stay behind and clap them off. Thought Hyam was man of the match, but it could have gone to a few. Nobody particularly outstanding, but a team performance with plenty effort. From being a team which stayed up on the last day, to having the style of play scrutinised whilst in 6th place, 3 points off the top 2 is quite the turnaround by Eustace.
  17. We're right next to the away bench and Eustace was screaming at Siggurdson to close down, he'd been on about 2 minutes.
  18. He was playing really well last season, our form fell off a cliff with his injury. He's had a good season up to now apart from the 3 away games when the team, as a whole, struggled.
  19. Dolan dug out a cracking cross on Saturday from which Hedges should have scored.
  20. Thought Gueye did sort of OK ish on Saturday. I'd be surprised if he doesn't start on Wednesday, given West Brom's liking for all things lobbed in high.
  21. Said exactly the same walking out today, Eustace still doesn't know his first 11. I think it's true of a lot of teams, it's just that Eustace has managed to find a way to get a result.
  22. Not knocking the lad after a great display, but he got caught out of position late on, and was very fortunate to not pick up a second yellow.
  23. Looked like we got away with a push from Gueye leading up to Dolan's goal, really pleased to see him score. A difficult watch today at times, but to win 5 on the bounce at home is surely beyond anyone's expectations. A couple of away performances apart, it has been a fantastic start.
