  1. The keeper is different. I could understand it If you said surely Eustace will drop him he's been that bad. As for Dolan, I think he's played well this season up until the last 3 away games when the team as a whole has been poor.
  2. It doesn't make sense that you think Pears is so bad, yet think Eustace will pick him.
  3. Let's see if he can better Southgate's tournament record. If he does, German or not( I personally don't care), he'll go down as a national (football) hero.
  4. That would only work if Eustace agreed with your assessment. Eustace obviously rates him, and it would most certainly be singling him out for criticism. For what it's worth, the way Swansea play, he'd be one of my first names on the team sheet for Saturday.
  5. The team as a whole has been playing poorly, why would he single out Dolan for criticism?
  6. I think he's had a good season up until the Preston game, since then his, and the team as a whole's form has dipped.
  7. With the way Swansea play, I'll be amazed if Dolan doesn't start.
  8. Mate's grandson has now got a season ticket with us in Jack Walker lower. He's 7 and loves going to the match, and I love that he loves it. We're second row back, right near the away bench. It's low, but you do feel involved as you can see and hear everything that happens. I realise some people lost their seat for the family stand, but I think it's been a good idea rather than kids being stuck in the Gods. If he's looking for player involvement, you're definitely better over that side. Hope it turns out well, can't think of anything better than kids loving footy.
  9. The last 2 results have definitely tempered an excellent start. Looking at the points return alone, 8 points clear of the relegation zone and 1 off the play offs, considering who we lost and the distinct lack of investment , I'd say the start over the 9 games has been quite a bit better than OK. It has definitely surpassed my expectations.
  10. If we were right now sandwiched between Stoke and Bristol, I'm pretty sure there would be agreement on here that we were probably about par. Eustace seems to be a victim of his own success for having such a great start, we're way ahead of where anyone thought we would be,yet there's a bit of a panic set in. Reading some comments, you'd think we were joint bottom.
  11. Dolan has, on the whole been good this season. He has had 3 poor performances to date, in the last 3 away games. The team as a whole performed poorly in those 3 away games, but there is no doubt that Dolan has received much greater criticism than anyone else, despite being no worse than the vast majority of the team. There's no doubt that he divides opinion, but the amount of criticism he gets is well out of proportion.
  12. He has had a couple of mares after a good start to the season. With the way Swansea play, I'd be very surprised if he doesn't start against them.
  13. That isn't the point I was making, but it's one to consider.
  14. After a good start, he's had a couple of stinkers, as has the team. It could just be the two things are connected.
  15. I wouldn't expect them to,it was a comparison of how they viewed him during this one match.
  16. You were worried more than anybody about the home form, never stopped mentioning it, we've been 100% this season. Now you're worried about the away fans. If only we could just win every match home and away.
  17. I agree about Swansea, win and we'll be looking up, lose and we'll be looking down. It does show how ridiculously fickle the football world is when there will still be 36 games left.
  18. I watched with Plymouth commentary, I usually listen to the other team's coverage to get a different opinion(and ours do my head in). The Plymouth side weren't as dismissive of Gueye as some of our own fans, they were definitely wary of him. I agree it is early days, he hasn't had as bad a start as some are making out. Maybe needs to start a few on the trot.
  19. We've been really poor last 2, but it's as if the previous 7 didn't happen. We're a point outside the play offs after 9 games. More importantly we're 8 clear of the bottom 3, which if we're all honest is what we were looking at before the season started. There's an international break now for some to get things back into perspective.
  20. A quick look at the table and we're doing fine, in fact better than fine, certainly much better than anyone expected. We've played a home game less, win against Swansea and it will no doubt mean a play off position. Some of the stick Eustace is getting is way over the top, given the start to the season and position in the table.
