  1. Your theory has run out of legs. It isn't me struggling.
  2. World Cup quarter final World Cup semi final Two Euro finals, one to be decided First final on foreign soil As an England International manager, his record is unprecedented compared to what he followed over the last 50 odd years. Let's see if the next 5 combined get anywhere near, then we'll assess your reply.
  3. It isn't logical at all, being drawn out of a bag every round comes down to luck. England's route is down to results, every team had the chance to progress. Spain look the best team in the competition, are we "unlucky" to be playing them in the final?
  4. How is not proceeding as expected lucky on England? The draw had us in the same half, France messed up, England didn't. The path is pre determined, it's the results which place teams in each relevant fixture. Nothing to do with luck, they weren't pulled out of a hat, you're getting luck confused with the consequence of losing games.
  5. The group games are on either side of the draw, that is the draw. Subsequent matches depend on the results of those group games, the path is pre determined. The group games are on either side of the draw, all wall charts are the same, ie in 2 halves.
  6. You're getting muddled, the original "draw" had us and France on the same side, we were scheduled to meet in the semis if both had proceeded as expected.
  7. France were on our side of the draw, the strongest side according to the bookies, with both pre tournament favourites in it.
  8. It was in response to the really grown up reply of Ged a bloody grip man
  9. Two Euro finals and one World Cup semi in 6 years, first final on foreign soil? That's after not reaching a final since 66? Give your head a wobble.
  10. It certainly does, revelation is the word. Good luck to the next bloke, he'll need it. I'm actually warming to the idea of one last crack at the World Cup
  11. It is in comparison to the efforts of every England manager for 6 decades, it's more than comparable. Whether we win on Sunday or not, the next bloke has got a mountain to climb to even get close, and that's assuming he doesn't stay on for the world Cup.
  12. Good luck to the next bloke, it's akin to following Alex Ferguson.
  13. France were on our side of the draw. They didn't do their job, England did. That isn't England's luck, it's Frances inability to do what we did.
  14. You don’t reach the latter stages of major competitions so many times through luck. Ask every England manager since Ramsey. It's the way every England supporter who doesn't rate him, tries to explain away his exceptional record, bettered only by one man in six decades.
  15. There are younger supporters who actually think that getting to quarter finals, semi finals and finals is normal for England, when actually it just isn't what England do. That will be Southgate’s legacy for the next few managers to follow, an unprecedented run in major competitions. The next one up has some almighty large boots to fill.
  16. I couldn't believe they didn't review the yellow, seen players sent off for a lot less.
  17. Only ever been in once, friends arranged for my mate who was ill, to go in last season and I went with him. We were in the Blackburn end. Turned out to be his last game😞, daughter's taken over his seat for next season. Can't say I'd like to go in again, definitely not for me, although on the bright side it was the night match against Birmingham when it was absolutely Baltic.
  18. I wasn't trying to prove some kind of point, just thought I'd mention it, I didn't know.
  19. Not wanting to reopen a can of worms, but my mate sent a link to Rovers hospitality. Seemingly, the hospitality department do a flexi season ticket, you can choose which matches you want to attend.
  20. I've no idea, I've also no idea how many of Gallagher's runs created the space for someone to assist Szmodics.
  21. It's probably coincidence that Szmodics has never hit double figures before, yet when he plays alongside the player who partnered Brereton and Armstrong, he scores 30.
  22. Gallagher doesn't score enough goals, but his partners are invariably amongst the top scorers.
