Would we get more out of Kargbo without Dolan, or like yesterday with him?
-
Got to be honest, it's hard for me to feel sorry for the bloke when it turns out he was hawking himself around to anyone that would listen. He may or may not have had promises broken. My view is that he probably got the positions covered that he wanted, but with different players than he'd hoped for.

Important win that one, with 2 great goals. Ribero rightly named man of the match, he's lasting games well despite his lack of gametime, you can just tell he knows the position inside out. Someone for Beck to learn from during his short time here. -
We have our fans commenting on how strong the squad is looking, and we have Eustace leaving, supposedly because of the recruitment.

Unless we're playing the Dingles -
Well yes, they generally comment on our performance without any preconceived ideas,no baggage so to speak. Their's is a study of one game in isolation, which I like. I don't need them to give an overall view of the season, I can do that myself.
-
Keep it real for God's sake.
-
That's exactly the point, they see the game as it is, largely without any pre conceived ideas. They were complimentary of Dolan because he played well, no need for excuses.
-
Tronstad and Carter on the verge of returning. Ohashi 2 or 3 weeks away. Buckley looking good after a run in the team. Kargbo looks rapid. Dennis quality once he's fit. Drogba up top. Without any further injuries, that's some bench we're going to have for the run in. I can't help but think he's manufactured himself a move away.
-
The West Brom commentators would, they were complimentary the other night. I always try to listen with the "other" commentary, I find it a much more balanced view of our performance. No axes to grind.

Sacked in the morning.........

He started him virtually every game, of course he'd want him. Goes without saying.

Don't think he said they were unemployed, just that they were foreign. From that i assumed working abroad, although on reflection, Ive no reason to. The other he said was in a job, so he couldn't say who it was. I assumed he meant over here. Thinking back, it was as vague as Clinton Baptiste.
-
Should have sat this one out John. Chair for QPR 1-0
-
Nixon said so earlier on Lancs. Said 3 are favourites( think he said they'd been interviewed) , 2 foreigners and the other he couldn't say cos he's currently employed.
-
Trot out the line? He's England under 21 coach,if that's the direction of travel then we surely couldn't appoint anyone higher.
-
I can guarantee you that Eustace got WHAT he wanted. Cover at left back, cover at centre half, cover in cental midfield, pace out wide, extra numbers up front. It's the list this forum has been crying out for. Where the waters get muddied is when you add in the WHO?
-
It isn't automatically a case that someone who came under those conditions would be crap. The quality (or otherwise) of the appointment would be their ability and willingness to work under those conditions. The last 2 coaches didn't have the willingness, the question is, did they take the job under those conditions, or did they move the goalposts mid job to manufacture an exit.
-
Or choose a coach who's willing to work with what he's given, rather than use it in the future to manufacture an exit.
-
I could see the logic in appointing either, for different reasons.
-
Same here, thought Cantwell played nice and cool under pressure to be honest. Can't say he did anything to be critical of.
-
Almost as if Eustace's heart hasn't been in it for the last few weeks. Gueye immense in both boxes, all the lads really good tonight but boy have we missed Trav, captain's performance. Tronstad, Carter and Ohashi not far away, it's a cracking job for someone.
-
Edwards would be an obvious choice to me. Promotion with Luton under his belt, championship experience, free to start straight away. Can get him in tomorrow for me.
-
Sorry, bloody phone
-
Ko It's straight out of my book, you are allowed to think for yourself rather than talking in clichés and automatically blaming Waggott for every I'll in the world. If his heart/head haven't been in the job, then it's obviously possible that he hasn't been on the ball which could well have contributed to the poor form.
