  1. I just don't see why he'd use up a place taking him, if he'd no intention of playing him. It makes no sense whatsoever.
  2. Well yeah, but I can sort of see the logic in taking Shaw. If you can see any logic in the Wharton conspiracy, let me know.
  3. So, he used up a squad place to take a player he was never going to play because Palace would have to pay a million quid. Sounds like a plan.
  4. Southgate has obviously noticed his talent and has taken him to Germany against all expectations. I'm dying to see him play, but he's way in front of where anyone thought he would be, because of Southgate.
  5. The trip on Mainoo was the clearest yellow of the game, I'll bet their player was expecting to walk. Absolutely ridiculous decision.
  6. Best Motd for years when they just showed the games with no commentary. They should have kept it.
  7. Bellingham does throw himself over a lot,I don't watch Spanish football as a rule, but it does make me wonder if he's used to getting decisions at Real, that he isn't getting here.
  8. I think the point is, Bellingham didn't really celebrate, he was just giving it all that. I thought exactly the same at the time. Let's be honest, there hasn't been anything to "give it all that" about.
  9. To be honest, i just messaged my mate saying I'm glad it's on itv. Anyone other than Lineker,i spend more time with it on mute. Wish they'd sack him.
  10. We'll no doubt receive the £22 million, plus because Rovers negotiated a better sell on percentage than Birmingham, it's almost certain we'll receive more for Wharton than Brum received for Bellingham. Birmingham supposedly did well out of their deal, and it's the rules apparently that Bellingham is the benchmark, no other comparison will do. As for Raya, it's estimated that we'll receive a total over £8 million. There isn't one person on here who wouldn't have snatched anyone's hand off for £8 million at the time. The others, I'd agree, although I don't think anyone will offer enough for Szmodics to tempt Rovers to sell.
  11. I'm saying he was brilliant against Sheff Utd, but like you say he got injured next game. I'd certainly welcome him back.
  12. Two or three seasons out of the Prem, they'll be returning the cricket field stand back to all away fans and hoping to fill it that way.
  13. It wasn't the "easier" half of the draw, it had the 2 pre tournament favourites in it. It was, according to the bookies, the strongest half of the draw. That France couldn't top their group is of no consequence, it wasn't down to England being lucky.
  14. Yes, nothing to do with luck, you get what you earn/deserve. P
  15. They got the job done, France didn't, nor did Holland or Belgium. The failings of others has nothing to do with England being lucky. I ask you this, if we'd finished 2nd and had to face Germany, would you say we were unlucky?
  16. England and France were pre tournament favourites, both on the same side of the draw. France cocking up and ending up on the other side has nothing whatsoever with England's luck, it's down to French failings. Pre tournament, the other side of the draw was seen as the weakest, Didi Hamann wrote off Germany's chances on the eve of the tournament, whilst Portugal have exceeded expectations. Our side of the draw was the pre tournament favourite to provide the winner.
  17. Luck has nothing to do with it. They all set out with a set of fixtures and the results set out the route to the final.
  18. One problem with that theory is the potential sale value of players. We'd be looking to sell to the Championship, we'd be about £16 million down on the Wharton deal for a start.
  19. He hasn't been lucky, he's been the best since Alf Ramsay.
