  1. Yeah, it's difficult to predict, I just don't fancy Brittain at left back.
  2. Pears Carter Hyam Wharton Jrc. Wharton Travis Buckley Hedges Szmodics Gallagher
  3. That's a fair assessment, I'm not supporting Pears or otherwise, just highlighting his ridiculous examination over the last 2 games. Hopefully the magnifying glasses will be put back in the drawer as and when Wahlstedt gets his chance, otherwise he's destined to fail.
  4. Pears got blamed by some for not doing better for the two goals at Rotherham as well as yesterday. All I can say is, Wahlstetd has been set a ridiculously high bar if/when he gets his chance. I hope he's good enough to keep the likes of those efforts out,as he's supposedly accomplished with his feet as well, we'll have a £50 million keeper on our hands.
  5. I commented yesterday, is he our tallest ever left back? Maybe he's our tallest ever right back as well, that would be a strange record, especially for a forward.
  6. Same here, and it didn't get mentioned on radio Lancs on the way home. It's surprising what you can see when you really want to see it.
  7. Agreed, I'd be more inclined to leave him out away from home if at all.
  8. The pressure is on for Pears and he knows it. Hopefully we're still unbeaten after 10 games and he keeps his place.
  9. He pulled off a fantastic save on Saturday in a one on one to keep it at 0-0, the ref gave a goal kick but it was clearly saved.
  10. If Pears is going to get the blame, at least wait until he's actually done something wrong, then he can rightly be criticised.
  11. I thought Hedges was better than fine, probably the most effective player when he came on, he set the pace and tone.
  12. We're close, 2nd row. First booking was for yapping I think. He'd already slammed a water bottle down, but after that he ran out of his box to retrieve the ball quickly to get it back in play. That's when he got the 2nd yellow.
  13. Yeah, but that's not bad after 106 minutes of obvious intense scrutiny.
  14. The height difference was scary, yet Pears and his defence coped really well at set pieces.
  15. Thinking back, considering our team was on the small side, and they were like the Harlem Globetrotters, Pears and his defence coped really well from set pieces.
  16. He comes across as being one of the daddies in the team, excellent today.
  17. I thought Pickering had a great game against as dangerous a winger in the league as you'll see. You could forensically dismantle anyone's performance, especially if you're looking for it.
  18. He did, but as I said he won't come up against better all season. As you say, hopefully he does well tomorrow.
  19. Girona's right winger was as rapid as any we'll see all season. We look much more balanced with Pickering at left back. Brittain needs to prove himself in his own position before he's played out of position. It's a big season for him, he needs to perform on a regular basis.
  20. I suppose it's how you see it, their right winger was blisteringly quick, a cracking player. A bit much to give Pickering grief because of today's match up. I'd be surprised if he comes up against anyone of that calibre this season. On the match as a whole, a Wycombe fan sat in front of us probably summed it up well. He said you played some nice stuff, singling out Szmodics, but you won't play a better team this season.
