For the game against Omonia he was given by far their highest rating (7.9) and made 8 saves. Pretty clear to see that Omonia were the stronger team and were dominant. Context is good in these clips aswell. Not saying this guy will be brilliant but you can’t say he will be good or bad until he wears the kit.

Just worries me with 2 in the middle that we can be overrun. Which is why 442s have been slowly declining. I feel like with the right players a 3 at the back can be good and work well but you’re right in the past with rovers it hasn’t worked. Usually because we sit back too much and the wide players don’t get forward enough which is what we need to provide the width. One thing is clear, with 2 CB signings and a quick winger we have the ability to change formations which is a good thing to have.

To me it makes sense. Use our strength which now is a 6 foot 5 striker and two good crossers of the ball. Then a smaller striker to pick up the scraps

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 352 sort of formation (hence why 2 more defenders) with Gueye and a smaller striker with him (Yuki). Honestly wouldn’t be against this as Britain and a good left winger / wing back (Gent?) would see a lot of crosses and we can be more defensively solid. It would also allow Tronstad to sit in front of the defence controlling the play and two other midfielders to go forward in attack. Although then you have Hedges, Dolan etc not being used so maybe a more 433 formation could fit them in better. As long as we are strong in both defence and attack and don’t just sit back I’ll be happy. One thing we lack from the friendlies is creativity upfront.

You’d have to think that if the fee of 150k is right, that the Japanese attacker is nothing to do with sammie leaving. So you would hope that if Sammie does leave that the money will go into signing some more players. However this is rovers so the money will likely go into heating Waggots indoor pool. Will be a shame if he does go, but at his age you’d think Sammie needs to jump at the chance to play prem football.

It is awful and upsetting what is happening to our once great club. Im only 25 but remember watching us as a youngster in the prem, idolising Tugay, Pederson and Santa Cruz, how I and I’m sure we all miss those days. I’m glad people outside of the fanbase are realising how much shit we’ve had to put up with. It’s gonna be a long season no doubt but hopefully we can keep some of our main lads and we need to pray we don’t get too many injuries or else we are up shit creek. And let’s hope this court ruling gets shut of Venkys once and for all!! We need to get reset and go again under new ownership and make our way back slowly to where we want to be. And Waggott and Suhail need to be banished from the Blackburn boundaries.

A shame about Gilsenan. I hope he’s back soon as I really thought this season he might breakthrough. He has the talent, no question, it’s about him getting it onto the pitch at Championship level.

Great post!! Similar to what I tried to say yesterday but I worded it a bit too strongly and touched some nerves (sorry guys I’ll try to word it better next time). The European market is where we need to be, potential for cheap buys and if they come off, some profit. There will be hits and misses, every team has that not just us, but hopefully we hit more than we miss 🤞.

I tried to not type the usual post of ‘get behind the lads’ but tried to add some positivity into the chat about a potential signing.I may have read the wrong messages on here and thought that a lot of fans were turning against supporting the club with everything going on behind the scenes. Nice to know I’m wrong really.

Of course I’m not directing the backing the club sentence at all posters. Just the few who I’ve seen exclaim they won’t be coming down to Ewood this year, or who post negative upon negative comment. If you don’t come to the ground and support the team unless there is a legitimate excuse and not ‘I don’t want to send money to the Venkys’ then that’s who it’s aimed towards.

Fair points not rude at all btw, we all have our opinions. It’s very understandable and right that people are angry that we have no signings. So am I. Let’s be real though, we aren’t signing anybody with any proven record, it’s going to be players like this with a risk. I’d love for us to sign a 20+ goals a season striker but they aren’t feasible on our budget. I was too harsh saying people shouldn’t moan as everyone is entitled to an option however let’s just back the lads best we can. It’s hard enough for them as it is with a lack of signings.

As I said it’s understandably frustrating as it is for all of us. However, at least we are getting someone in. Don’t get me wrong Venkys, Waggott and co need to go asap but give any signings a chance at least before slandering them. This German lad might be a solid signing. You just never know. I thought after Brereton we’d all stop judging players before they have played at least a season for us. And we have had money brought in but it sounds like they are keeping the lights on at Brockhall so until this mess gets sorted out in India we are on shrapnel.

Tbh to get 10 goals in the second tier of Germany which is a very competitive league for a team who went down is a good return. Would love to sign him. However it would cost money, of which we don’t have. Defo the sort of move we need to go for though. The question is though, how much can we spend and what position will they prioritize any money towards. Not fun being a Rovers fan atm really
