Dolan reminds me of the guy in every office 5 a side game who constantly makes awful decisions, normally trying to beat a man rather than passing to his teammate in space -

I hate everything Tyrhys Dolan does -
Curious, I thought he looked very lively. Good first touch, looks to have the ability to turn on the ball in a tight space and isn't afraid to get a shot away. He's just not quick, sadly, but he's clearly a damn sight better than Hedges and should be starting games for us. There's definitely promise there, but I'd like to see him to do something other than run 20 yards down the wing, turn inside and pass to Travis/Tronstad

We spent the entire first half pointlessly lumping it at Yuki and Dolan, then when we bring on a player who is actually suited to that style of play we give him nothing at all to feed off. Baffling.

Ah, fair enough. I think it was just outside the area, so the point stands 😃 -

You might be right, but it would have been another terrible decision as the wide angle shows the ball wasn't in play when Carter had hold of his shirt -

He really didn't seem to fancy that challenge with their keeper. -

Anyone else anticipating a "hold my beer" moment from Scott Wharton? 😃 -

If we didn't know where our next goal was coming from then I'd be worried, but we play good football and create chances. I wish we were sometimes (often) more direct in the final third, but there's nothing to suggest we can't score goals. This abject spell will end soon, we'll get some key players back from injury and go on a charge up the table, trust me 😉 Remember how worried we were about losing JDT in the summer? I can't believe people are now seriously suggesting he should be pushed out. -

Moran is occasionally useful going forward, but he's so lightweight defensively I'm not sure we can afford to carry him in games where we set up like this -

Ennis has made a total of 5 league appearances this season, all as a sub, so I think it's a bit early to be writing him off. Have people learned nothing from Szmodics? -

I disagree, he was making a sliding tackle and the ball hit his supporting arm -

Of course we were much deeper in the last few minutes - Preston were throwing the kitchen sink at us, as evidenced by them gifting the entirety of their half to Hedges, giving him time to change his mind 7 times about what he was going to do. No team in the world continues to play in the way they have for the previous 90 minutes in that situation. -

One thing that struck me today is our seeming obsession with always going wide in the last third and expecting to score from crosses or square balls. After yet another failed attempt Szmodics had a word with Travis, and lo and behold in the next attack Travis played him through centrally and he scored. -

I don't really pretend to understand the offside rule anymore after all the 'clarifications' in recent years, but when the defender took possession does that not make it a new phase of play, meaning BBD is no longer offside? That's certainly been the case for a few high profile top flight goals I remember. -

Call it what you like, but planning what needs to happen in order to improve the team over a reasonable period, whilst acknowledging that you're not going to turn into world beaters overnight, is better than making it up as you go along, surely? -

It was a great night, but let's not get carried away 😃 I wonder how many of those that are now grudgingly on the JDT train after a few good performances will be jumping off again as soon as we inevitably lose a few? It would be nice if fans generally could accept that this is actually a project, through which we are gradually improving, and just be happy about it. But I suspect many will be too fickle for that. -

Mason Greenwood might be a free agent soon 😉 (for the avoidance of doubt, I'm definitely joking) -

Only thing I can think of is if there was a problem with the EFL 'portal' which meant they were submitted in time but not registered as received. -

I love how whenever Dack misplaces a pass it's because his teammates aren't on his wavelength 😅. Don't get me wrong I think he's played pretty well, but the extent to which he's overhyped on here compared to Hedges, Morton etc is hilarious.
