  1. Wouldn’t class it as a sitter. The angle was against him.

  4. Well if we are looking up, then five points off the play offs with nearly a quarter of the season gone and us only just starting to gel, is quite positive!
  5. I’d go: Pears Brittain Carter Hyam Pickering JRC Wharton Sammy Hedges Ennis Gilsenen Think it’ll be 3-1 Rovers (with this team 😉) or 2-1 without!
  6. Think you have to have Gilsenen in there, even if it’s just on the bench. I’d replace JRC with Brittain - I know JRC was fantastic last season but think he will start slower this season (not sure if it is a fitness thing or from the knock last game but just a feeling I have). I think JDT will start with Dolan but I really would give Zak a go.
  7. I’d give Zak and Brittain a go from the team against WBA.
  8. Out of what I think the starting line up will be I’d like us to replace Pears, Dolan and Leonard, with the Swedish Keeper, Siggy and a proven goal scorer. Leonard dropping to the bench and being used more throughout the season I’m hopeful that Batty will push on to compete with Pickering and A Wharton to get some real form and consistency. Markanday to provide some competition for Hedges, but ideally signing someone with real pace to be brought it. 2-0 Rovers!
  9. I know we really REALLY need a striker or two but my god our defence has cost us again.
  10. We have to keep Adam if we will have any hope next year.
  11. I didn’t expect us to be in the playoffs at the start of the season JDT, but of course it’s disappointing not to be there from the position we have been in for most of the season. I just hope we bring in 4 or 5 players that really improve the team to give us a chance again next year. A lack of a decent striker has cost us but the defence aren’t filling me with confidence right now either!
  12. I’d move Dolan to the left, replace BBD with Leonard
  13. Not sure it wouldn’t just depress them but if any of the Rovers players have read any of the Burnley boards over the last few days, it should be enough to fire them up!
  14. Got to give Leonard a go in the next two games. It can’t be any worse. I still have some small hope for the last two games if we do that and we show the desire we did tonight.
  15. You can’t call them bottlers tonight. They’ve done so well but we just don’t have the fire power
  16. I wish everyone was like this - friendly, sensible rivalry. I should know better but I tried to have a civil conversation about hope in football on a Rovers v Burnley post and every response was about being a horse fiddler…that was not what I was hoping for…
  17. Absolutely gutted. Lacklustre, pedestrian and slow as hell. If we’d have put up a fight, it wouldn’t be so bad. Gallagher was poor, Adam Wharton at least looked like he was trying to make things happen and pass it forward, the players looked frustrated and annoyed with each other - the majority standing with their arms out half the time, and the defence looked off the pace. Gutted.
  18. We really should! I run the Green Goose Coffee Shop so we could have our base there 😉
  19. I can’t tell you how excited I am to be at the game. First one for probably ten years since I moved to Jersey. Always went with my Dad and he is flying over from Bulgaria (long story!) to watch too. My mum is even making a guest appearance and I don’t think she has ever been to a game. Fingers crossed we win but what I really want is passion, effort and some solid performances. Staying at the Millstone so guessing it’s pretty straight forward to get there.
  20. I’m one of the new members - although I was a lapsed member (Pugg) from years ago. Thought we played really well and proud of the team. Although I understand trying to hold on to the lead and being more defensive, I think that bringing on two players, just coming back from injuries was a mistake. Both looked rusty and were well off the pace in a really high intensity game. Brittain was poor when he came on against Leicester too. Would have much rather subbed Morton or Sammie as both looked tired. Hopefully the break will do us good and we can push on and secure a play off place. Currently living in Jersey but coming over for Easter, so booked Norwich tickets. Can’t wait.
  21. I get the defensive switch, and it has worked before, however this situation was different. We were on top, both players coming on have recently come back from injury, when Brittain came on against Leicester he struggled and there were other players that looked tired and could have been replaced instead.
