  1. I’ve given up on this season, it’s effectively over. Next season: Given up on that as well. Will be a miracle (the ‘water to wine’ kind) if we avoid relegation. Do we have 11 senior players contracted for next season?
  2. Valerien: What’s your effin game plan?? Whole team looks… very very uninspired. Criminal from both players and coach.
  3. I have no faith in Ismael whatsoever. He has a high opinion of himself, talks the talk and walks the walk, but: He’s never been able to hold down a senior management job for more than 14 months (and only once more than a year) - i.e. just another chancer.
  4. That’s the way to do it! Surprisingly classy statement (in contrast to the previous one). Would you please, dear BRFC management/board, kindly let that be the standard of all your work?🤩
  5. Have the auditors accepted this assessment?? Seems to be utter BS to me. Impairment test based on likely promotion😂 based on what’s going on during transfer windows, with contract renewals and generally in the ‘football department’ there is absolutely nothing to suggest that promotion is likely, the auditors (or directors, for that matter) apparently know nothing about football. For that impairment assessment to be correct Venky’s London would just have to invest A LOT more than what they are currently doing.
  6. He’s on 60k pw, this has got to be a wind up
  7. Doooooolaaaan?!? Wtf??? Just leave the Club now pls.
  8. 100% uninspiring. The aim has “always been to look at improving” the attack…?! Really? That’s so, so defensive and weak. He can’t fail then, as long as he tries. We all knew it I guess, but there it is, out in the open from the CEO himself (again). There is just no ambition there, and anyone at the club trying end up frustrated and leaving after a while. As hire As, Bs hire Cs, and (in Rovers’ case) Ds hire… unqualified candidates. I just can’t forget Waggott’s leadership principles- the Teflon principle and the swan syndrome. Good stuff. Eustace will likely slide or paddle out of there sooner than later.
  9. ACD is obviously very talented, but is also showing his inexperience losing the ball
  10. If academic excellence is what we’re looking for, Bamford’s our man👍
  11. I think it’s highly unlikely that the Teflon coated swans* of BRFC are picking up on anything. *(remember this little gem, which I believe is now being taught at LSE as part of their course ‘Organisational theory and practice’: https://www.walmsleywilkinson.com/news-and-insights/inspiring-leaders-interviews/inspiring-leaders-steve-waggott-ceo-blackburn-rovers/ )
  12. He’s less confrontational than JDT, but the way he keeps repeating the need for enforcements and now also adding “we were favourites for relegation but look where we are” in pm interviews… we have seen this before, haven’t we..? I.e.: 1. He’s far from sure there will be any good additions to the squad this window. 2. He’s communicating his narrative which highlights to everyone (incl any potential future employers of his) how well he’s done with so few resources available - all very true but which also reflects well on him the day he’s had enough. Eustace is clever, collected, honest and obviously very good at what he’s doing - in complete contrast to the management and owners of the club - so should not expect him to stay for long. The last few post-match interviews are quite revealing I think.
