  1. Nixon called waggott a supremo - his name and articles should be banned from these forums absolute stain that man is
  2. You can’t really be comparing players not playing for higher calibre teams than ourselves to the likes of Birmingham and Plymouth surely? That’s a ludicrous take Armstrong is fit and available would be my deciding factor over the two so again stats to me are irrelevant fitness isn’t and the last part about the rest is on JE if these are his players I’d agree but I suspect they are not so would be a tad unfair to blame him if he didn’t get the players he asked for in
  3. I still think ‘ can call it negative / glass half empty’ whatever we have been in fantastic position 3 jans running we as fans have the right to ask the question of previous failings and lack of investment/ambition who wouldnt question it after what’s gone before? we have a solid championship team but as shown 1/2 injuries in key positions and our form took a nosedive. So all we ask is for some help and I’m sorry but forshaw isn’t that (don’t care if he was available/cheap) Garrett could have done the same if not better we got 3 experienced bodies in yesterday which saved an abysmal window let’s be honest it’s no slight on the team or JE but fans have the right to ask the question of what do venkys what out of us
  4. Elliot confirmed interest in schlupp, bamford and danns said bbd was never on the cards theres still a massive issue though Paul. Fans can feel rightly aggrieved or lied to as waggott openly told us that ffp isn’t an issue he said there is money to spend and venkys will support that. All these loans and short term deals would suggest that’s not the case now Ribiero and Dennis for me could be really really good signings. But as fans we have the right to ask why the last day? Dennis clearly wasn’t their top target so who was and what was the reason for moving on? my big issue is the timing and I’m sorry not for one second am I having it’s hard as a valid excuse. Plenty other teams got business done well before yesterday so to me that’s not good enough reason what’s the plan? I’d love to know like is this the ‘all in make or break’ short term signings for top 6? As come the summer we could be losing around 11 players and likely the manager too
  5. That’s the gamble yes I agree been out of the squad for forest so assuming he wasn’t close to being top target or it could have easily been done earlier Iv stressed numerous times on this forum this month we missed a trick with the block of fixtures we had I genuinely believe we left 3/4 points out there - al hamadi was my first choice think we should have been all over that but I do think Dennis is a signing I can get behind but as you said how long for and is it too late time will tell
  6. I certainly wouldn’t have danns and bamford in the ‘lofty’ talk category schlupp would have been good but too dear bbd didn’t want to come back I agree in the main regarding our transfer window and nobody should be defended but when breaking players down in isolation compared to this time yesterday it ended better than we thought
  7. 3/4 weeks doak 2 months sunderland fans not happy said this is the 3rd player signed on loan whilst injured we wouldn’t have known about the injury it was picked up on the medical so a stroke of luck for us for a change
  8. I’d have picked Armstrong too given he would be more match fit just a shame he only became available when we likely had the other deals done
  9. It’s a pointless comparison truth be told two totally different players
  10. Woodrow dennis and Ribiero wouldn’t have been registered on time for tonight likely all in squad for Sundays cup game Kargbo will get minutes tonight
  11. That’s like saying any teams top performer means the manager influence is irrelevant - silly pep didn’t win the league - haaland did
  12. If he got 8-10 for the remainder of games we have I’d be delighted this comparison thing is irrelevant really so many different variables can affect a stat sheet etc two different players two different playing styles two different teams / set ups see come may
  13. Failing a medical doesn’t automatically mean a deal is off it’s up to the club buying if they wish to pursue or not
  14. Conceded 3 last night - not convinced Boros approach will work myself gone very very top heavy but ‘on paper’ they have done the best yes
  15. Conor Chaplin - is injured so isn’t match fit proven O’reilly - city must need him so not sure on this one tbh along with the loan add ons of must play etc Armstrong - only became available late yday so assume we had our deals done ali - Hamadi - agreed I think he was the one we should have been all over from day one danns - could be anything and reported to be injured so maybe dodged a bullet agree with the rest though we should have been on the ball a lot sooner regarding incomings that we did get - I am confused on the Woodrow one but Iv settled myself on it overnight as a bench player he could be ok he can drop into the 10 role if cantwell is injured can play up top too dennis is the gamble of course but what a gamble he could be just a shame itl likely mean another 2 league games missed before we see him - I think he’s quality (fully fit) pace power can score again though how quick can we get him up to speed and where will we be by that point
  16. I don’t agree but what I would say though his best years may be behind him
  17. In relation to boro West Brom signings they can now have no excuses boro in particular but I said a couple of days back they went too top heavy they concede too many (of late anyway) that won’t do it I don’t think west brom - albeit a loan Armstrong is great business at this level and if he hits the ground running I can see them being the team that pushes away in 5th
  18. Summary for me good deadline day but poor window overall we left it too late too many weeks/games gone within the period with such a threadbare squad dennis I touted (more in hope) a month ago didn’t think would be realistic could easily be a game changer but he would have needed the 3/4 weeks to get up to speed. Training and playing matches are totally different ribiero - like the signing personally Woodrow - thrown by this one tbh unless sigurdsson is gone or Leonard’s back injury is season ending - he can play deeper though Kargbo - as Iv stated before will judge him when seen Overall though I’m very concerned about the lack of plan/structure re windows/investment. Questions need asked of those above particularly regarding all the short term deals our players contracts running down and the potential of high squad turnover come the summer we were told venkys have the money we were told were clear of ffp we were told venkys still are interested but yet all short term deals/loans/frees suggest otherwise time will tell one thing im 100% sure on is Eustace will be gone come the summer unless we get top 6 so let’s give it a rattle
  19. Agree in the main however a fully fit Dennis could easily be the difference
  20. I’m going to give you chaddys reply wait until the window is closed and see where we are at
  21. If spending time at top level means nothing then why did you back Eustace for experience? you wanted bamford to didn’t you keep going good reading of a Sunday
  22. So you think BTA would be a quality signing for us at this level but don’t think iheanacho would be a quality loan at this level? Madness
  23. Didn’t play a minute in the away game and the fact they are losing im pretty sure Liverpool will go full strength at home to spurs
  24. Busy weekend Friday night was massive it’s allowed fans to ease off a touch and give the recruitment team one last roll of the dice (still believe we should have been on the ball a lot earlier) kargbo - happy to give him a chance positives - pace and relatively match fit negatives - contract length a concern and how long it’s took to get a summer target let alone Jan Mohamed - don’t think it will happen anyway but top player religious beliefs not relevant for me (refusing to play though is a massive no) danns - like the look of him match fit and decent minutes (for his age/position) at Liverpool highly thought of….loan is annoying though O’Brien - can always do with a good squad I haven’t mentioned forshaw much as I think I needed to see him - iv now seen 3 games he’s not good enough so cover at cm would be good but only at a decent wage cut for me still the recruitment team have a lot to answer for regardless of the next 48 hours but fair play to je and the team even in our worst period of the season we’re still in playoffs mentioned the other day I think 6th this season won’t get to 70 point teams all around too inconsistent so if substantially backed with fund that we DO have we have a right chance….not hopeful though
  25. Could be but definitely a gamble hasn’t played in 2 months and been injured quite a bit this season too also not sure how he would play in a Parker team they quite frankly are a dreadful watch
