  1. Yes they are safeguarding which I get from the parent clubs point of view not sure the workaround for it but it just doesn’t sit right with me
  2. As my post above states it should be on performance if Morton was available for loan minus the guaranteed minutes stipulation I wouldn’t be against it. but I wouldn’t go for it if he has to play - Travis will be back soon
  3. I have a slight issue with this in terms of hypocrisy - we as fans can’t really ask/demand a club guarantees minutes for on of ours on loan but when we get a player on loan and they under perform we complain that they play for me it always should be based on performance I don’t like the stipulation of ‘guaranteed’ minutes. If your good enough you will play
  4. Meh 134 appearances for boro 12 goals / 17 assists for a wing forward attacking winger think there’s better value out there for the 5million Listen if we got him I wouldn’t turn my nose up at all I’m more being judgy on the price
  5. Your point is well noted but I’d love to see the reaction in here if we offered 5million for jones would be mayhem but yes your overall point still stands those competing with us ie West Brom forming out money to sustain a playoff charge
  6. We have 5 league games this month no travis no pickering no Ohashi no baker without early signings we are absolutely pissing against the wind these fixtures (fairly kind) are the most important. We continue on this poor run come second week of feb we’re chasing when we have a chance NOW
  7. 100% this we are losing players and just replacing so not actually adding to the squad/depth required it’s so so obvious it’s beyond belief that anybody can see or think otherwise the bottom line is that whisky it’s only 8 days into the window the fact we have lost a player (not including injuries) and haven’t already had people lined up this early is nothing short of shambolic there will be certain targets ie loan players that might take that bit longer I do get that but it’s the same nonsense each window just a different voice to try and sugar coat the shitshow behind the scenes
  8. I can’t believe I’m reading fans say he’s no big loss it’s a massive loss in terms of injuries etc which has a domino effect on other players playing there and then the need for more cover it’s a big loss at present don’t fool yourselves into thinking ah well - we are literally threadbare at the moment
  9. Not sure why people are shocked doesnt matter who the manager is or what the league position is the owners simply won’t stump up what’s required to progress until venkys are gone rovers won’t be anywhere near promotion
  10. Same could have been said 2 seasons ago but they won’t provide or at least didn’t then and a further 2/3 windows of failure since then doesn’t bode well for this one either should they be held accountable yes will they be held accountable no until they are going we can only hope for mid table whilst we might often flirt with top6 we will never get it
  11. You’ve answered the question - the owners are stopping us hence why we are dipping in the lower league ponds should we be? Nope but I deal in reality and the reality is that venkys will NOT pay big bucks for any player especially in Jan and with a guaranteed bond attachment they are always have been and will always be the problem
  12. I think the main point that I am making is that rovers aren’t in the same league financially for those interested in his services (plenty of interest I’d suggest) solid Leicester was going to the highest bidder you best believe that rules us out
  13. I just checked out of curiosity and it looks like sheff wed and Luton are both looking at a permanent move in Jan
  14. I’m not sure that’s realistic to be honest would be very bad faith between the clubs. If cannon wasn’t playing or wasn’t scoring or it simply wasn’t working out it would possibly make sense But I don’t see why Leicester would take the risk in making the fella who’s playing regularly and performing well doing exactly set out in a loan deal move to another club ps id love that to be a realistic option I think cannon would be perfect for us but I just don’t think it’s very realistic at all if anything the only way he moves from Stoke if he is sold permanently and we simply couldn’t afford him
  15. Maybe just me but I’d much prefer not reading nonsense from those simply guessing or making things up for clicks
  16. Who said they wouldn’t be his level or better I’m simply saying let’s sign someone fit and not injured - poku is unproven
  17. Burnley x 2 Luton x 1 Plymouth x 1 portsmouth x 1 preston x 1 Qpr x 1 so quarter of the teams have already been active
  18. That is nowhere near the same and quite frankly an absurd comparison - 4 games before we signed cantwell he missed two so 6 out of 44 - poku mid march when fit could be back for 9/10 games poku transfer for me isn’t about ability as he seems a right player but again it’s league one so that needs considered but we need players in jan that are ready as early as possible ie walk in within a week or 2 week transition max not someone who is currently injured (how would he pass a medical) and would need to get up to championship speed would need u23 games etc for me that’s effectively a waste in jan it’s not helping the squad for the now I get if we get him that’s another young decent player on the books for the future but for me the present outweighs anything. Sitting within playoff contention we can’t let jan window slip
  19. Mid feb he’s due back won’t have kicked a balm so add another month on itl be mid March - I get if he available and we’re top of the pile he’s a good fit going forward bit for me if there are alternatives that are ready we should prioritise those. we aren’t in a position to blow the majority of a small budget on a player who could be good next season. We have wasted the last 3 jan windows and fell off a cliff what we need is players for the now give this second half of the season a right good go with no excuses

  21. 100% agreed I’m hoping and praying after todays game things start moving (don’t say that with any confidence) fa cup match aside allows for 2 weeks before the Pompey game
  22. I will never get this JE has asked for 2/3 quality players to help the group now why on earth would Ross Stewart who is beyond injury prone be on anybody’s radar in January - he missed a whole season has come back and now missed the last two months poku - long term yes but if we have any sort of budget I wouldn’t be using on him as it does not help us here and now he’s out til feb then he will need time on the grass see how the team works etc it could be mid March before ya see him we need players fit and available for the here and now if that can be addressed and poku can still be added (highly doubt it) then by all means
  23. He has been making the bench and got some minutes recently due to Reiss Nelson’s injury last month - probably a big factor now
