  1. Well it actually is very relevant brighton I’d argue have one of if not the best recruitment department in England and they are willing to pay 40million speaks volumes bougnt for 30 had a fantastic season 22 years old 4 years left on contract - but yet we all still compare
  2. Please explain how I’m intrigued to hear this?
  3. I’d guess 9 up front plus add ons - merely guessing based on reports of what the ‘nearly fee’ was
  4. Sad to see him go but cannot deny he deserves a crack in the prem so he goes with my best wishes. Also glad it hasn’t dragged out to deadline day lets see how we fare come the next fortnight
  5. I personally thought it was because he missed a very good chance for his hat trick minutes prior
  6. Could easily come in for him id be against selling him to a championship team unless the bid is close to 20million
  7. But realistically in terms of who we are competing with/against who is splashing millions? Without selling a star player (excluding the relegated teams) not many
  8. Agree in terms of efl players but that is it. Prem money and high end champ league teams money is an absolute disgrace
  9. And our judgement is sound on this one 9/10million and Ipswich can have him good luck. Until that valuation is met he’s a rovers player
  10. What if Plymouth derby Oxford Portsmouth all get injuries - I’m not disagreeing that we need more bodies that’s 100% a given and I’d be wincing watching us with little to no cover if that was the case. But we will get bodies in whether it be loan deals or not. I still think there are 4/5 times with similar/smaller squad size untested at this level would be in a worse off position than ourselves just my opinion of course
  11. Yes incomings I agree but this is a sale completely different
  12. But again every team has a 46 + game schedule in the championship. All clubs will have injuries and suspensions. I agree we need bodies in to help progress but I stand by what Iv said I think there is and will be worse off teams than ourselves this season
  13. What exit deals have we messed up? Incomings we have been a shambles but we seem pretty good at letting players go so I don’t really see your point with that one? but really as a rovers fan what does it matter at present we have a player who has contributed 3 goals and an assist in what 90 odd mins of football. You are just creating a narrative to be negative when there’s a million other reasons you can do that and be justified - this isn’t one of them
  14. Iv agreed with that, what I didt agree with was we would be ‘clear favourites’ for relegation
  15. Sorry but a ‘good sportsman’ wouldn’t come into it if your employer deceived you. If I was a good worker and my employer back tracked on any agreement we had before I’d be furious. The reality is we don’t know and a lot on here seem to just jump on some unverified Ipswich sources the same sources that said Sammie was there for a medical Clarke was signing and hamer had agreed a fee. Then to read that their sources were spreading false information same can apply here ipswich offered a pathetic 6 million and upped it to 8 million that’s all been confirmed and our figure was always higher than that certainly not the 20million quoted in media but 10 plus add ons
  16. If that was the case I’d bet that szmodics would have done a Rowe if he’s felt deceived in any way everything doesn’t have to be a conspiracy or a rovers fault (even though we have history) it for me is simple - Ipswich have not met the clubs valuation
  17. Of the window closed now and we still have szmodics I’d be more than confident we would be better than 3 other teams - we action here like rovers are the only team that gets injuries and suspensions etc - we most definitely need more bodies to improve no doubt about it but I think there are worse off teams in the division this year than rovers
  18. You’ve just proved my point a very poor derby side and equally bad if not worse Plymouth side in the division. So can’t imagine how we would be clear favourites to go down
  19. I see the point but I still maintain our current squad even as it is is much better than derby and Plymouth’s who will also have 2 games per week with injuries and suspensions I do agree though more players through the door would be ideal
  20. I take it you didn’t watch us v derby or Plymouth for that matter we need a number 1 to replace pears there’s no doubt about it and we need bodies in there’s no doubt about that but clear favs to go down? I’m not so sure
  21. Rushworth loan fee rumoured to be 1million plus wages ayari - came into his own at the end of last season would happily take him back hill - would be fantastic would be delighted with that one
  22. Fair in relation to compromising. I personally don’t think it’s 500k is what I’m getting at. Ipswich are newly promoted and have banked millions they just loaned Phillips and looking to loan broja. If they are digging their heels in over 500k then they don’t really want the lad that’s how I view it as if they really really wanted him and Nixon is right about the 500k that would have been resolved by now. So for me anyway I don’t believe that 500k is the sticking point I think his figures are wrong
  23. Nixon specified 500k I cannot for the life of me see that as being the stumbling block for a newly promoted club
