Absolute bloody shambles that we didn't buy another experienced centre back if there was always a chance we'd sell Hyam. However let us not forget the season before JE and Danny Batth when Hyam was an absolute liability and crumbled consistently under pressure. There was every chance he'd have another season like that with the set up we have so would keeping him have actually been a good thing? We'll never know now of course. Terrible that we didn't have anything lined up to replace him. Basically chucking everything on Carter getting fit, having the season of his life and not getting injured.
