  1. Agree. This is what all those players that haven’t been playing as regularly this season needs. No one can do anything in 10 minutes here and there coming off the bench. For players to perform they need a run of games. A 10 minute appearance that JE likes to make towards the end of a game doesn’t allow a player to even settle into a game never mind change it
  2. Jrc should have been given more than 10 minutes. Sub made 30 minutes too late.
  3. Completely agree. Much more of an attacking threat (which is very much needed)
  4. In regards of the Mowbray compassion I was speaking about the other players who I’d mentioned prior, thought that would have been obvious given we’re in a fan forum so we’re all probably pretty clued up with who played under what manager. The latter was a generalisation of my initial post. but if all you can add is that it’s a factual inaccuracy I guess that’s great insight 👍
  5. Brereton was there under Mowbray, he didn’t reach his best performances until JDT came in and he played under him. szmodics came from Peterborough at around age 26/27, never performed like he did until playing under JDT - he’s said himself in interviews JDT is the best manager he’s had who improved him as a player a Wharton - exactly, Mowbray didn’t necessarily see how good he was. His opportunity came through JDT Nothing about that comparison is factually incorrect
  6. I think it’s a fair comparison. Mowbray also had those players and didn’t improve them like JDT did.
  7. I’m talking generally. We’ve had an ok start tonight but in terms of individuals performances I don’t see anyone who is doing overly well under JE and I imagine that’s down to his style of play/ tactics.
  8. I think the problem is the managers style of play. No one seems to be flourishing or improving under him. Compare that with JDTs time here he improved the likes of Szmodics, JRC, A Wharton, Carter, Brereton.
  9. PEARS JRC HYAM BAATH/ MCFADZ BECK SONNY TRAVIS HEDGES CANTWELL DOLAN LEONARD
  10. Yes midfield may be his preference but many of his interviews express that just being on the pitch is his priority. If JE doesn’t know how to involve a quality player that’s on him and his man management. I think the subs today need to be starting the next game if we want something different to the past couple performances.
  11. JRC (what a goal) and ACD should be starting every game. Manager left it too late.
  12. I do think we are in a much better position with having more players available for when injuries etc happen I agree with you that Christmas time is always a struggle for us for that reason. My concern is what we saw with Travis last season. If the manager doesn’t keep players feeling confident and part of the squad we know how that can end up! Losing Travis last season was not good, I just hope he keeps players moral up as we know (from Travis) how it can go when players don’t feel wanted or part of the squad.
  13. Great overall performance today from the boys, great goals, and good team work, although I would be frustrated if I was jrc. Hes had almost 100 games at RB and ended up being the best RB arguably in the championship when he did play there, we all know what he’s capable of, so to not put him in when there’s a chance to seems strange. Also Blackpool game aside, his win ratio when playing is high and he showed how much we needed him last season. interesting to see how this goes. Manager doesn’t seem to have given him a fair chance in his actual playing position imo and then dropped him at the first opportunity. Can’t be good for confidence going forward if that’s how he manages his players. Similar to Baker today, not playing him in his actual position, how is he expected to impact the game positively and show what he can do On a positive note, was an enjoyable game today. Bristol were not as good as I remember them
  14. One positive is that the teams below are losing
  15. This view point baffles me. Up until his latest injury he wasn’t injured for about 2 years… really not as fragile as some make out on here. Look at players in the prem now, Reece James for example so many more injuries due to the speed of the game compared to what there used to be. That’s football and the case for a lot of players, doesn’t make them less reliable or consistent. For all we know this one could just be a knock
