Dolan having a particularly poor game, Carter appears to have his boots on the wrong feet. Rovers showing some signs, but nothing going for them yet... -

These are thugs, roughing our defenders up at set pieces, including for their goal - very unsettling, and something we need to factor in to our play. -

Hoping for a positive outcome from this game, at a ground where we have had some good results, but where it is always difficult to go with confidence. For me, tactics have to change a bit for this one - I'd like to see Cantwell take on a bit more responsibility for the engine room and creative forward play, would prefer big Mak up top for the first hour or so, after which Yuki might come on to change things up in terms of the attacking threat. I'd like to give Cozier-Duberry a run out in the side too, with a remit to pop balls into the danger area for the Mak, perhaps paired with Hedges going back to his origins as a winger capable of delivering killer crosses from the by-line. Overall I don't think we can complain too much about keeping the core of a settled and effective side. Each different opponent brings its own challenges, and I'm sure JE will have done his homework on the Sky Blues. Another clean sheet would be a good return, whatever else happens.. Head - Sky Blues 1 Rovers 1 Heart - Sky Blues 0 Rovers 2 Hell in a Hand Cart - Coventry 2 Rovers 6 (Yuki hat-trick, Cantwell penalty, Mak Gueye tap in and Hedges screamer). COYB!! -
If we keep winning, there's plenty on here that won't be able to cope... But it will be very interesting, if they mount yet another campaign against promotion, to undermine JE and to frustrate the faithful who want nothing but success and prosperity to return to the fortunes of our once proud but now (relatively) humbled and hamstrung club. Feck em, I say. Just keep going and grinding out the good stuff, and give the Venksters and the haters the fookin problem. COYB!!
-
Another win will increase the levels of sniffage going on from clubs higher up the food chain with managerial question marks, but we have to hope the positive home form continues. Every interview that JE gives reinforces the quality of his approach, and his ability to view the turbulent context of a football club in organisational crisis through an objective and reassuring lens. These are good times from a fan's perspective, with confidence building on and off the field (despite the crass statements and stink emanating from the owners' direction). I don't know much about the QPR lot this season, and to be honest I couldn't give a toss either - we simply have to beat whatever team is in front of us on the day. I hope we get the rub of the green, that our players give as coherent a performance as they have done so far this season and that our spirit and togetherness (heretofore absent perhaps?) lead us to a comfortable win. However, any team can beat any team in this league (we know this too well) so we need to be on our game. Head - Rovers 2 QPR 2 Heart - Rovers knock it out of the Queen's Park 4 Rangers 0 Hand to ball in a hoor huis - Smash and Grab from darn sarf - Ewood Aces 3 QPR 4 COYB! Knock it out of the park!

Apparently Southampton are sniffing around Eustace. It would be better for him to get some success on his cv, preferably with Rovers, than for some cash-wallowing competitor to try to steal him based on a short run of positive form. Pathetic how little actual talent there appears to be swimming around in the management pool. Hands OFF, Southampton scum! COYB! -

I wonder if Rovers marketing folk have detected any attention from the Japanese media, in our free-scoring sensation? Is Rovers 'a thing' in Thailand, Mark, or are we lost amongst the flotsam and jetsom of international football favouritism? -

No, but these days everything is run as a business, and the only kinds of business that turn guaranteed customers away are those heading for abject failure. I mean, it's not like Rovers would ever do anything to discourage walk ons, new fans, fans turning up hungry and thirsty.... oh, hang on. Anyway, let's 'do the business' on the pitch first, and worry about the headaches that causes for our backroom buffoons after. COYB! -

If Heineken did irony...;) Oh, but hang on... Rovers may stutter today, but I feel like there has been a sea-change in attitude at the helm, there definitely appears to be more backbone and resolve on the pitch, and it is clearly catching the imagination of the away faithful, heading to Sleepdale in their droves this morning. Good luck everyone who is going - I hope you have a wonderful and memorable day out for all the right reasons. Head - A scrappy and bad tempered affair with a goal apiece 1-1 Heart - The cream of Lancashire rises to the top in another dominant display of swashbuckling form 1-3 Kick in the Knob-end - The rats of Sleepdale irritate the feck out of our players, get 2 sent off and nick the points 1-0 COYB! -

A hard game at the weekend, without a doubt. But no more difficult than a derby day trip to t'Turd. Oddly enough, I think the nobbers will pick our pockets, Blackpool stylee on Sunday. However, it is about time Rovers put on a show for the loyal travelling fans. COYB! -

Wash your mouth out! Yuki San is a good finisher, but he isn't anywhere in Shearer's league.. However, it is brilliant to have a player on the pitch with such an obvious eye for goal. -

Unless you are playing rugby, in which case you play on, indifferent to the pain and gallantly supporting your team mates by not being a wuss. Which in its own way is just as mindless as rolling around like a moron! Anyway, the point is well made that Rovers don't have a particular reputation for such theatricals (Savage, El Haj Diouf, Bellamy and perhaps Travis in latter days being slight exceptions). Long may that continue - I wonder if our new golden balls (Cantwell) might have a thespian streak? Time will tell. Not able to go today after all, with daughters needing ferrying to various dance classes and parties, and the in-laws coming for dinner.. Hoping to tune in from Denmark or such like... Rovers have a couple of goals in them I think. But then again, maybe Brizzle do too. Too close to call this one, but anyway, COYB! -

The FA need to introduce a rule about players rolling around like they've been eviscerated, only to get up and jog away untrammelled as soon as their opponent is cautioned. The ability to punish 'simulation' is already written into the laws of the game, but not really ever enforced in any meaningful sense in the modern game.
