  1. Do you know what, you're right, we might as well shut the club down and give up given your totally meaningful, ground breaking and relevant revelation. Damn. It was just getting good too. Tell you what though, all is not lost, show your posts to the next attractive young lady you meet and she will not be able to keep her hands off you.
  2. Just did on another post. 🙂Happy to have a grown up conversation. 👍 I think we'll reach the championship eventually but I'll be happy in League One. When I started watching us in the 90's we were (in the main) a League One club although before my time we were once a Championship club (in the equivalent league) and have had European exploits too. I think we'll be in League One for a while as there are some much bigger clubs in that league than us who are spending big. We may initially struggle there. We're signing three players in this window apparently who will improve our side considerably, so we should go up this season. FFP isn't an issue, we have big name sponsors, US tour in pre season, the documentary and sell out every week. Our board said this before the season started that FFP won't be an issue. Our turnover has increased significantly, shirts & merchandise sell out extremely quickly etc. Our owners have stated that if we reach the Championship there will be a different approach/plan in place to compete. My gut instinct tells me they already have additional investors lined up. They are fully aware it will take major investment. By that time I expect we'll have a new Kop making our capacity around 15,500. They have already said thats just the start and the rest of the stadium will be developed too. So by the time, IF, we reach the championship our capacity could be 20k plus.
  3. Thats not our Wiki page for starters, blindingly obvious even if you just look at the link you posted and if you read literally the opening sentence it says: Wrexham A.F.C. was the football club's 156th season. Here it is; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrexham_A.F.C. Always happy to educate - I'm not offended either. Just some fans on this thread were asking why some of our fans 'have a bee in their bonnet' etc and its guff like this which is most likely why.
  4. How many times have you watched us out of interest? Its nonsense like this which gets fans backs up. A basic brand of football - whatever that means - is currently allowing us to win far more games than we lose.
  5. Not even close to being true, try doing a bit a research eh? Embarrassing stuff.
  6. Almost sold out. Was 245 tickets left at 5pm yesterday. You were saying? "DEEDUMS"
  7. This is borderline illiterate. You have my deepest sympathies at the challenges life has thrown at you. I've got absolutely no interest in your quest to have an argument online with someone, there must be others in your playground you can play hard man with. Bye
  8. Deedums? 🤣 WTF does that mean? Thanks for the geography lesson too. I'll share that with fellow fans who will be extremely grateful for you sharing this pearl of wisdom. Oh and humble apologies for being in employment.
  9. No it isn't - it is its own channel and completely separate to Channel 4
  10. Well that's knackered it for a lot of Wrexham fans planning to go. Ridiculous decision that will cost both clubs. If it'd been on the Saturday night or the Sunday even fair enough. But a Monday night? F**k off. It will severely affected our numbers travelling. There were around 8 of us planning to go, and now no one can go now due to work etc
  11. That was some visionary, who back in 1864 formed a reality tv team. Hats off to them.
  12. Wouldn't say we struck gold. Although I can see why it would look that way. There are a huge amount of Liverpool and Man Utd fans in Wrexham due to us only being around an hour away from both cities and plenty who saw Wrexham as their second team. Much of the town had written the club off and weren't interested. This goes back to the 90's even when we were in L1 and L2. TBH in 2019 my patience for watching us go nowhere every season was wearing thin. I knew we couldn't compete financially. I knew that even if we struck gold with a manger that they'd likely be poached from us (Sam Ricketts to Shrewsbury - Keates to Walsall). I knew if we managed to sign any good players that they'd be leaving sooner rather than later for a better deal at the likes of Forest Green and Salford. I'm sure you get it that it grinds you down. We always had around 2-4k hardcore and another 5k floating who'd come to big games like against Chester and another 10k+ on top of that who'd come to Wembley for Play offs etc. Its hugely frustrating to see we could take 20k plus to Wembley then the next home league game would be under 5k there. There's quite a bit of resentment in our hardcore fans to new comers "taking their tickets". But i guess if you want success this is the price you pay. Any fan Wrexham fan mocking Blackburn's attendances is clearly on the wind up and looking for a bite.
  13. Sorry to hear this. What's their goal though? They don't attend games, they don't invest and seemingly don't care and I would imagine they have to financially support the club(?) and must be well out of pocket overall. So what is the point? I grew up in Cefn Mawr, a stones throw from Rhosymedre.... Small world! I still pinch myself to believe we have such great owners. This is not in anyway me putting the boot in or gloating by the way. But never thought it would happen. They have stuck to their word and delivered everything they said they would and more. Any fan would struggle to find any faults. There's been a few niggles here and there, teething issues but they have all been resolved and washed away by our recent success. Things like ticketing issues etc. Caused by unprecedented demand. Under Fan ownership the money had run out, fans were sick of the small clique of fans running the club who were hell bent on staying in control despite all their lies, bare faced deceit and shambolic running of the club. Any transfer money we had got wasted and fans stopping contributing to the Trust as a result. Resolutions were ignored even though they were voted for. In my experience fans can save the club but not run it long term. There's a reason there are so few and even fewer who enjoy any sort of success. Then covid hit and we were in serious trouble. I don't think we would've survived without the takeover. The FA have blood on their hands and so the the EFL. Until they get a grip of the ownership of football clubs more will go under.
  14. Spot on this. Wrexham fans love a good away day. Its not too far away and hopefully you'll give us the full allocation. Away tickets for most of our league games sell out in minutes and are hard to get, so days like these are welcome as it allows more fans the opportunity to travel away. I see the map that the documentary team clearly planted deliberately is still getting a few bites. I'm stunned anyone believes this was a genuine mistake and not a wind up. Wrexham fans will have every sympathy with your ownerships woes. The last decent owner before the current lot we had sold the club in around 2001/2002 and sold it down the river to crooks. Since then we went from one disaster to another, lost ownership of our stadium on the way (its back with the club now) and we lost our training ground Colliers Park which is now owned by the Welsh FA. We still have no permanent training ground but they are currently in the process of finding a suitable site to build one. What's the situation with your owners now?
  15. I very much doubt we'll try to outplay you, I very much doubt anyone sees that working against Championship quality. More than likely we will be direct into Palmer, Fletcher or Dalby, whoever plays with Mullin (assuming we haven't signed another striker by then) or over the top / down the channels for Mullin etc to run onto. We'll look to win throw ins near your box for Tozer's long throw. We're pretty good at set pieces with McClean in the side. Where we struggle is against teams who have a high press and are good at it, lots of teams try the high press but few are very good at it at our level. Also we struggle against pace, particularly running at our back three who aren't the quickest (Bar Hayden) and that's usually how we concede. Our GK Arthur Okonkwo, who is on loan from Arsenal, is a giant too and looks like the real deal. I'd be well chuffed if we could sign him permanently.
