It isn't a bonkers statement at all, he did absolutely nothing for Villarreal playing against teams like Getafe, Alavés and Las Palmas... The lower echelons of La Liga may as well be Championship sides. I also, never said he wasn't better than Hedges and had liked comments from fans saying he was and I agree with that statement. My point is I'm not sure if he would make as huge an impact as we need and comparing him against our current players stats, his stats so far this season regardless of it being in the Prem are dire, that and he literally left us on bad terms. Would I take him over Hedges? Probably, but what would happen if he didn't make an immediate impact? Fans would be calling for his head immediately. 🤣

Brereton has had 6 goals and 1 assist since leaving us and played for 3 different teams (Villareal, Sheff Utd and Southampton)... Gueye has assisted 6 (albeit 1 was absolutely not an assist and was a complete miss kick that Beck smashed home) and 3 goals. Ohashi, 5 goals and 1 assist... Based on them stats alone, would you take him? Because they're not much different to what we currently have. I'd rather than focus on someone who has a better record than that other than the potential of a one season wonder coming back and trying to replicate the last form he had with us whilst playing with different players, a different manager and a different set up. Major gamble however, is likely pure paper speculation bullshit.

Forshaw is literally a squad filler for Baker, I would argue Baker is the better of the two but in reality by how much? I'd never heard of Dion Sanderson but clearly JE rates him. Let's be honest, the reason they publicly release statements advising they're still invested in the club is because if they sell up the remuneration they get will likely be ceased by the Indian Government in some way or will sit in their UK company so it stays out of the Indian Government's jurisdiction (which is clearly just there for face value) where they won't be able to do anything with it as they can't breach the UK market. That is the only reason I can believe, it is simply all smoke and mirrors. Claim they are invested yet haven't visited Ewood Park in years or done much in the form of smart business. It will all come out in the wash should us fans see a change over of owners, when and if that ever happens.

I would say positive, I don't believe any of the comments are negative; they are an opinion... An opinion as such people are perfectly allowed to express. In the end, everyone commenting shares one common ground; the betterment of Blackburn Rovers. Having worked in business for many years (as I am sure many others have), I appreciate the need to be critical but to also be intelligent about how you express that criticism without tarnishing the relationship (which could be classified as a definition of a critical friend). Professionally, I deal with Stakeholders and Shareholders at many levels in one of the biggest organisations in the UK (truthfully) so I can appreciate things need to be done a specific way in a means to not damage that connection but then to also build onto having a connection that allows you to have more difficult discussions comfortably at no risk of complicating the arrangement. I think those who are majorly involved with meetings etc, need to understand that subscribers are going to post erratically sometimes even doubt you... But when you think of it, that is part of the parcel. I do sympathise with you after seeing some of the comments on here, but we're in a complicated position and it is to be expected.

Excuse my confusion... I never questioned anything like that other than made a lighthearted satirical comment towards the end of my post, my post of which in basis was detailing that I can completely understand frustration from both sides i.e. General Members and those who attend meetings?

I understand the comments around people giving up their time to do this, but one thing you have to consider is that from the moment the meeting has taken place, those involved are then privy to information which all fans should be aware of so you can appreciate an influx of comments & quite possibly frustration! I can also appreciate from those involved in the meetings it can grow frustrating seeing the comments but do consider those who aren't involved and the situation for what it is (not saying you don't). It is a testing time no matter as it has been for years, so any fan aware of things such as this is going to want to know the outcome/what was discussed. Most comments have been relatively sound if you consider this. Anyway, where are the f***ing notes? 🤣

Just to point out, there are no links of reputable substance that indicate Szmodics is unhappy and there never has been. You simply need to look at the training videos etc to see this too... If any of you are taking the Team Talk article as truth then have a word with yourself, journalists always spout shite in order for clicks/to generate views. Will Szmods be here at the end of the window? I can't honestly say, I don't think so but as Rovers fans we should accept this and be appreciative for him single handedly saving our behinds, if he is will he spit the dummy out? No... We may be a shitshow of a club in general, but we are still the ones that gave Szmods his big chance to step up (as he has said in similar terms in the podcast with Big Sam).

Leeds are apparently out of the race for Szmods which is good to see (so we don't witness him bagging against us next season), apparently only considering a deal away providing it is a Prem side solidifying that he only would like a move to test himself (of course the extra cash would be welcome!! 🤣)... Which leads back to his end of season interview when asked about interest his response was basically let's see how it goes and that he is still contracted to Rovers either way. Should a move not materialise (high chance it will) I can't see him being unhappy about staying. Genuine professional and wish him the best of luck no matter what happens.

Also seeing rumours about us being linked with Marek Rodak but stumbling due to wage demands and now Al Ettifaq are circling... So he's obviously going to the Saudi league... A signing like him would be exceptional business, but as if Rovers would ever pull that off! I guess I will resign to us signing Weopold Lahlstedt from one of the Scandinavian Leagues ... 🤣
