Personally, I thought they were fun to watch until the wheels fell off in December. There wasn’t enough squad depth to manage the injuries. Then Travis left for Ipswich and Adam Wharton was sold. The squad as assembled in the fall was competitive but lacked depth. With one of the lowest payrolls in the league, it was never going to be a very athletic team.

That was a very important point. It adds Sheffield Wednesday to the mix and makes it so Plymouth has to win. The odds are very against both Birmingham City & Plymouth Argyle winning plus Sheffield Wednesday getting at least a draw. Norwich and Hull are both promotion playoff clubs and the Stadium of Light will have 41,000. Park the bus in Leicester and try for the point. 90 minutes of time wasting.

So what physical assets does the club actually own? I've read that they did a financial slight of hand where the practice facility was sold and is leased back to the club. I presume some other slice of the Rao empire now owns the practice facility? Who owns Ewood? As a business, revenue comes from ticket sales, television revenue, and sponsorships like Totally Wicked. There's a bit of revenue from RoversTV subscriptions and RoversStore kit. I'm trying to understand why anyone would buy the club since the payroll and operating cost is less than the revenue.

The comment: "If you did a poll about Venky's, most supporters would want them out. The problem then is that someone would have to buy a football club which is in so much debt, so you've got to be careful what you wish for." Isn't the "debt" just Venky's lending money to themselves? It's absurd to think that the club would be sold without Venky's forgiving that debt.
