  1. It’s ‘a couple of leaders’ not a ‘coup of leaders’
  2. A couple of leaders and more firepower up top. I agree John. It’s not all doom and gloom, there are some good players at the club, we just need a few more. Keep the blue flag flying high….
  3. It’s a fair point. I suppose it depends how good Murphy is in relation to the Championship. If our 3 current players can’t play the way JE wants then he will have to bring people in. It wouldn’t surprise me if the 3 mentioned don’t start as wingers. I think he was playing Hedges at LWB before his injury, which is where I think he’ll play him next season. I don’t think j he rates Siggy in that position and Dolan doesn’t seem suited to being an out and out winger. Personally I think Murphy is a better out and out winger than all 3 of them and I think he’ll do well next season in the Championship.
  4. I think Eustace likes pace out wide. None of our current wingers have pace, I wouldn’t even describe them as proper wingers . I have no idea if we were in for Murphy but he would fit the type of player JE seems to like out wide. He’s quicker than Dolan, siggy and hedges.
  5. Derby at home first game of the season on Friday night
  6. Fixtures are out at 9am
  7. He didn’t say that. He said that we only needed additions in a few areas iirc. Forwards is an ‘area’ so we might bring in 5 forwards. Defence is an ‘area’ so we might bring in 3 defenders etc etc
  8. We looked better once the subs had been made. Palmer is a very talented lad, as it Mainoo. They need to start next match.
  9. Kane said we were much better tonight. He may need a drugs test.
  10. Are they bollocks! The hyped generation.
  11. It’s very Mowbray-esque in the way we keep possession without ever moving forwards. It’s very safe football.
  12. Slovenia are technically better at passing the ball. Says a lot for our superstars!
  13. There’s no real excuse for not playing Wharton in this match. Gallagher is about as effective as Jason Lowe would be at international level.
  14. Bellingham thinks he’s playing for Birmingham again, keeps passing to the blue shirts
  15. That was more like it even though it was offside. Excellent move of first time passing
  16. Overrated players who don’t look half as good as they do at club level when they have the benefit of playing alongside quality foreign players.
  17. All is tickety-boo on the financial side according to the club
  18. It may well be that it’s a deliberate policy to let local businesses sponsor the shirt below market value, rather than an inability to attract a major sponsor.
  19. It’s been a brilliant Euros so far. Some really dramatic games.
