  1. The agenda last time was to stop the nascent anti-Waggott protests from gaining momentum.
  2. You’re stating that they can’t send further funds as fact. The club have said they can. How do you know they can’t?
  3. Which is why Wharton was sold, because they had run out of funds and the adjournment in Jan (?) pulled the rug so they had to sell Wharton on the cheap. So what Waggott told you in Nov was probably correct at the time, but the Jan adjournment messed everything up. Then when they went back to court in March it was agreed that only procedural and technical issues were outstanding that had nothing to do with Rovers so sending funds is no longer an issue. Then they adjourned again until August, at which point they will deal with whatever outstanding issues remaining. that’s my reading of the situation which or may not be correct. We’ll soon find out….
  4. Whoever it is knew about the season ticket prices before anyone else. Looks a legit account. I’m guessing it’s someone with the same source as the guy who posts on here. It might even be the same person.
  5. He looked excellent in the play offs. Certainly a cut above League 1.
  6. Eustace spoke highly of Buckley when he arrived at the club. May just have been standard manager spiel welcoming a player back into the fold after his loan. Buckley looked a man bereft of confidence for the most part. He was fantastic against Newcastle but poor in the league games. Maybe he’ll come back next season revitalised. I think CM is possibly the only position we are well catered for with Travis, Tronstad, Buckley, Garrett and JRC.
  7. Football died for me when physios were no longer middle-aged men with comb-overs running on to the pitch 20 minutes after the stricken player’s injury occurred, carrying nowt but a red bucket and dirty sponge. It’s all poncey shite now.
  8. I didn’t realise a breakdown of expenditure was required, I just thought any expenditure had to be met with a bond of the same amount? I suppose it makes sense given the events that prompted the investigation. Like you say it will all become clear in the next month or so once the transfer window opens.
  9. I’d imagine it will get busy from about the middle of June.
  10. The Venky funding issue, and the WATR statement regarding it, have generated discussion recently. Is WATR still of the belief that there is no longer an impediment to Venky’s funding Rovers?
  11. He’s too good for Palace.
  12. I know mate. I was just highlighting the cynical approach. I get that it’s a business and they have to maximise revenue etc. but people will be buying blind essentially. It’s fine if you can make every kick off time but for those who can’t they might be better off just buying on a game by game basis. Surely it’s fair to have all the info to make an informed choice before you commit £350. maybe I’m just naive and shouldn’t expect transparency from a football club
  13. In that case you’d think the club would extend the early bird for another week until after the tv dates are announced.
  14. So we’ve abandoned the DoF role? if the Nixon stuff is true it suggests the rumours of 25% cuts across the board weren’t accurate.
  15. Ah. So early bird ends on 22nd June and sky release tv dates on 26th June. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence!
  16. Are we still the most expensive?
  17. If you can’t make certain KO times/days it seems pointless buying one until Sky announce which games are televised.
  18. Staggering contempt being displayed for elderly people who struggle with IT. My dad is well into his 80s and if I wasnt around he’d be forced into paying £10 extra because he can’t cope with computers. I wonder if it is standard practice across the 92 to charge someone extra to support their club?
  19. As crisp a strike as you’ll ever see, with minimal backlift.
  20. No we got £20m because we were desperate for a quick sale.
  21. They’re Billionaires. £20m is a drop in the ocean. I just don’t think it’s clear yet what will happen this summer. There have been no indications of anything yet. if it’s as bad as you suggest then hopefully the protests that were starting to build back up before Waggott pulled his player/fan stunt will re-ignite. As a fan base we’ve been passive for far too long.
  22. Or they put £20m into the club as per normal, and then deposit the same amount with the Indian authorities as a bond.
  23. In the void that is communication from the club all sorts of stuff is going to be suggested this summer. What I liked about GB was at least he treated supporters with enough respect as to let us know what was going on occasionally.
