  1. The fundamental question is the one surrounding funding and the club’s earlier assertion that there was no impediment to future funding. In light of the limited budget, if that question was asked then I’m not sure how he can wriggle out of it. I guess we’ll soon find out!
  2. So what kind of goals/assists are looking at from him to qualify as a success?
  3. ‘Which of you fackin slags wants some you fackin melts’
  4. I remember when Brum came here a couple of seasons ago under JE and their French RB (whose name escapes me but always looked a good un) played almost like a RW when they were attacking. Brum looked very good that day. I remember JDT commenting on how good they were after the match. If JE is supported and players provided for him then I’m confident we can have a decent season.
  5. Plural? This window is heating up like a muthafunker.
  6. Out of interest, if he does sign as a forward (not necessarily an out and out striker) what do you class as a success for someone coming in on a free? What numbers ( goals and assists) would you describe as acceptable?
  7. Nixon did say a week or so ago that Begovic’s preference was to stay in London. We were interested apparently but obviously not interested enough to make a decent offer!
  8. I personally think there’s very little chance he’ll be here once the window closes.
  9. Eustace resigned losing SS judging by his comments in LT tonight. Reiterates we need replacements who can score goals.
  10. Tyjon getting lots of praise from Jackson for his performance tonight.
  11. Waggot’s streaming it from his house at £20pp Probably.
  12. Cool. And I said I think it’s a good decision to re-sign him. Nobody is shutting down debate. You can express whatever opinion you like 👍
  13. The manager is in the best position to judge whether Fadz is an asset to the squad or not. I agree with the manager based on what I witnessed last season. If you see that as kow-towing that’s fine.👍
  14. I think that’s called hindsight. Unless JE can see into the future he has to make a decision based on what he thinks Fadz can bring to the team in the coming season. He obviously thinks it’s a good idea to bring him back, and for all the reasons he stated at the end of the season.
  15. That was my issue with Hyam last season. We needed a leader and he as captain should have been that man, but he was weak. If it wasn’t for Fadz actually organising that defence we would have gone down IMO. Not sure who has been selected as captain this season but I sincerely hope it isn’t Hyam.
  16. I thought a few of the players in the last year of their contracts would be sold this summer, but clearly they can’t replace them so I presume they’ll just walk away for nothing next summer.
  17. Yeah, we need Hyam back to his best. His confidence was shot in the last few months of the season.
  18. My worry is Hyam and Pears. They were directly responsible for both the Bristol City and Sheff Wed debacles. Those two were a liability.
  19. Jackson saying Fadz talks at advanced stage and should be announced next week, same timeframe for Yuki.
  20. You could have said the same for King Kenny when he signed Tony Gale. These players bring experience and know-how. Fadz showed his worth last season. I doubt he’ll be playing every game.
