Really unusual situation to be appointing a new manager into given the players seem to be galvanized and massively confident. personally would love to see the club treat this as a short term appointment 100% focused on trying to get us up. If we took that approach we wouldn’t have to try to exclude managers who they knew wouldn’t have time for Venky’s BS, they’d effectively have a 3 month free hit at massively boosting their reputation. I fear though that we’re taking a longer term view on this and trying to find a lower profile manager who we’re more likely to keep over the next 3-4 years who won’t be banging down Steve’s door for funding every window. Hope I’m wrong!

Fuming at Eustace, fuming at the Board. Hope Derby get smashed every week now but also hope Eustace responds to that statement to highlight how much of a circus our leadership is. No idea where we go from here, I just know the fans don’t deserve this.

Best case scenario - striking while his stock is high to get himself a new contract and assurances on funding into the club (contract renewals and new signings in summer) worst case scenario- that was a diplomatic answer to make it seem like he’s undecided and the decision will rest on Venkys commitment to the club, but in reality his mind is already made up given the shambles off field. Crucial 24 hours ahead, over to venkys as if they let him walk out the door in this way the players and fans will be furious, with the only way being down from there

Wonder if venkatesh or balaji are on the phone to Suhail tonight demanding to know why our manager wants to leave the club for derby? Probably not even aware of it

Sure Eustace in a recent interview talked about wanting signings this month that the other players would see and feel that the club really means business (something like that). How’s that going?

Genuine question. How aware do you think anyone is at Venkys HQ about i) current league position, ii) Rovers squad quality vs our playoff competitors, iii) how active our playoff competitors have been this window vs us? My thoughts are that if you asked any of the family members the above, they'd be 0/3. The shambles we see every window just reflects how bothered our owners are about our club's plight. The door for self-interested chancers looking for an easy paycheck at our club is wide open. This would never happen at a club with an owner sat in the Director's box home and away. One can dream!

Looks a sensible signing. Very good loan last season by all accounts so should give us good depth at LB and keep Pickering on his toes.

Unbelievably fed up with this level of mismanagement, year after year. I can possibly put up with venkys getting themselves into tax troubles and needing to tighten the purse strings for a couple of years, and even put up with the odd admin error leading to transfer failure(s). But the basics of what’s required by the leadership in any organization is and has always been missing with Venkys, communication. Why did venkys buy rovers, why do they continue to own rovers, how have the recent funding issues come and about how/when will they be rectified (including an apology for the issues this has caused the club), what culture are they looking to build into the club, where do they want the club to be in 3/5 years time. Clarity from the horses mouth on these things are absolutely vital to keeping a fan base engaged. I’d genuinely rather the club be in league 2 with owners who were committed to doing the basics as above, as us fans would at least have something to get behind on a Saturday afternoon win or lose.
