  1. Two others who were foreign but one was deffo Damien Duff
  2. I know for a fact the manager in work that was interviewed yesterday was Damien Duff.
  3. Let’s see when poku is fit. Cantwell had no preseason and admitted himself he was nowhere near fully fit after 4 or 5 games for us. We don’t have millions to spend so all I’m saying is I’d rather us sign the best player we can for the next three or four years not somebody at a slightly lower level because he’s fit and ready now makes absolutely no sense.
  4. We will have to agree to disagree on that. If you think poku wont play till mid march let’s wait and see. we messed up the previous windows by not signing anybody or signing poor quality. If we only have limited budgets every window we should sign the best players we can. We are handing out multi year contracts you don’t make a decision to do that based on somebody not being available for a month of it. If that was the case we should never of signed cantwell.
  5. Poku is due back mid February. I would rather the club make longer term investments constantly with any funds they get rather than making short term fixes as we need players quickly. If it takes the whole of January it takes the whole month. The urgent need is the centre forward. Didn’t realise Stewart was injured now, probably go with kone then.
  6. The major priorities have to be a wide player with pace and a centre forward. I would go and get Ross Stewart from Southampton, had his injury problems and would need a seriously in depth medical but think he’s probably the best we can get with our budget. My second choice would be Kone at Wycombe. The wide player first choice would be Poku for me even though he’s injured I think he’s a good longer term bet for us. second choice would be to look at matondo again at rangers. Both of those positions need to be permanent moves in my opinion. We can use loans for the centre back and possible right back positions. If the budget is there for three permanents then Bindon from reading as the centre back option. There is deffo a premier league player there so huge potential upside. Massive game today expecting a really tight game but rovers to edge it 1-0 Big Mak to write himself into folklore! COYB
  7. Well Eustace said he wanted 4 before Szmodics left so he is wanting a minimum of 5 to have the squad where he originally expected. looking at the links these are the players I think would get us a balanced squad whether it’s realistic is a different matter. GK -Rushworth/travers loan although would love a loan to buy. 2.5-3M LB - looks like it’s going to be Beck( he was linked with loan to permanent moves this summer hoping this move is the same) CM- George Hall 500k LW- Dembele or matondo needs to be permanent 1.5M CAM- Cantwell 500k That gives us good balance and is using players linked. I’d be happy with that and for me makes us stronger than last season.
  8. For me we still need the following with or without sammie leaving GK-Iverson RB/CB - hopefully Hill LB- ?? RW- Karamoko Dembele LW- Siriki Dembele/ Keskinen Sammie replacement / centre forward (id go get Gelhardt from leeds) I think that would give us enough to compete next season and wouldn’t blow our budgets Really like gelhardt I think with games he could become a top player
