  1. Just walking to the ground now and I just can't get excited for this game. We've hit self-destruct in January yet another season in a row. Only one signing by 30th Jan who has looked awful when he has been called on (Forshaw). Only one win and that was against Pompey who look doomed. We don't seem mentally resilient and intelligent enough to win a derby match. This season is such a good opportunity to get into the playoffs and I just feel like we're about to go off a cliff again! Feeling very flat about the rest of the season. Paddy power app had Preston 14/5 to win tonight, not sure how they've got them at that price. Preston win and that biting freak to score anytime is bound to come in. Going through the motions here. Come on Rovers
  2. 1 win in 9 is it now? Not looking forward to Friday night. We are well out of form PNE well in form and probably backed by a sold out Darwen End. We already know what's coming, going to get very sour I reckon if we fail to win yet another derby match.
  3. I'm not trying to be overdramatic, but I'm worried about where our next win is coming from. Ashton Gate is a graveyard for Rovers, then we have a local derby against a team coming into form and we haven't won in our last 8(?) local derbies except against Blackpool...
  4. Reading through the Cantwell chat in here and across the board. I think Cantwell's form has dipped since Yuki has been out of the side and I think the two are maybe linked. I wonder whether the reason Cantwell has looked off it is because he has much better footballing brain than those around him. So often he either plays, wants to play, or wants to receive the ball at the right time but the players around him don't have the nouse and experience to link up with him effectively. I think he's then sulking a bit which is down to frustration rather than ability (not excusing that btw). Leonard - inexperienced Gueye - enigma, but doesn't have a football brain, first touch horrendous Weimann - experienced but too slow Dolan - too slow, doesn't have a footballing brain, first touch usually awful Yuki looks like he understands where to be and what to do in the final third. Cantwell is supposed to be the conductor of the orchestra, but we've currently got a load of tin whistles up top that he can't work with
  5. I've just arrived and there is a huge car park on a small retail park behind invisible stand that is free to park and has stewards. I'm glad I drove and not trying to make the journey by bus or taxi from Oxford City Centre, it's 5 miles away from the city centre according to the club website. Feel sorry for the club and the fans about that, would be great if they get a new stadium closer to the city. This is like Rovers relocating to Great Harwood or B*rnley relocating to Colne in terms of how far it is from town.
  6. Still haunted by that defeat at home to Bolton when we missed two late penalties
  7. Have to trust Eustace's judgement as he probably knows him very well and even if he's out of favour at Birmingham JE must think he can get a tune out if him. Quick check on wiki says he has been dealing with a legal issue this year (drink driving charge). Might have had a lot going on, might need a move away from the city and a fresh start. Let's see what happens 🤞🤞
  8. He (JRC) definitely offers more as an all round player
  9. Worried what this means if Buckley is now our starter. We have some big winnable matches coming up which will define our season. In his last few late cameos he has been awful...
  10. Bought a ticket for this one and not really sure why. Got giddy when buying my Oxford ticket and just added to my basket. Will probably only be me there given the inexplicable kick-off time. I wonder if I can go in the first team luggage hold. I would be happy with this line-up as well. A free hit as they'll surely make changes too given their league position. An underwhelming draw for both sets of fans. Probably be 5000 on
