  1. Seeing as they don't know er....which league we'll be in i wonder what sort of terms they've flung at him.
  2. Yep say the need to 'assess' then drop terms in front of them knowing their agents have been busy for months and the interest and terms are elsewhere. Then it's 'we had a contract on the table for months but he chose to move on' It's always down to the player at Ewood.
  3. Forshaw should be offered 2 grand a week if he wants to stay i'd rather they put that wage into retaining Travis and Trons. Cantwell needs to do one as well there's a good few quid wasted there but nobody will pay for him he'll probably end up paid off. With signing and wages of Fleck, Siggy, Cantwell and Dennis how much is that down the tubes never to be seen again with sod all return. Significant investment the idiots would call it but i'd call it money that should have been used towards buying a decent forward.
  4. You are a known fan of his so it's hard to spot.
  5. Iv'e long suspected a mill or two goes through the tube elsewhere every year, though not illegally there'll be loopholes and ways and means to filter a bit out. No one is telling me English football doesn't have a Non Bio element the UK is the money laundering capital of Europe and as long as it isn't drug or terror related a lot will slip through loopholes via City of London, mainly tax avoidance stuff. However even if a decade of bleeding has been going on there has to be an upper limit to it the SBI and co won't just keep extending facilities when very little flows back.
  6. Have you ever listened to those Under the Cosh podcasts ? To a man every player who experienced him here thinks he's a complete tit, nice bloke but football wise...a tit.
  7. The drop in intensity is obvious and reading comments from WBA and Watford fans it was missing in his time there where he seemed to prefer the slow ball approach. The Barnsley time seems very much to be a one off and imo they've gone for him partly because he's a plodder, record is neither good nor bad but bang average. This club loves that.
  8. If someone offered those two a big fee or slice of the action to arrange a deal to buy the club they'd be on the next flight to Pune International. I'd suggest that's the only way it would ever happen.
  9. Did the Walker Trust ask for the money back Jack spent in the decade he and they were funding the club ? No, they asked for roughly the saleable asset value but then had to knock 20 mill off because of external debt so the price was circa 39 mill. Previous owners nearly always have to write off their balance outstanding sheet because in reality it's just money they were prepared to lose when they spent it.
  10. The sales of Kalinic, Jones and Samba brought in near enough the 39 mill they paid including the debt which for all we know wasn't paid off but restructured. Be no surprise if they got their 24 million back pretty quickly and whilst they have clearly used a gigantic amount of company money there's a lot of smoke and mirrors to that 2/300 million. Nobody and i mean nobody just throws away that hard cash.
  11. He ended up here because he had experience of running struggling clubs regardless of Mowbray who no doubt recommended him but was doubtful in a position to appoint his own boss. I'd say the usual agent connections played the biggest part.
  12. WTF are you on about now ?
  13. Well it seems they think we only have 6-9k fans so they are well on track to achieve that and will expect them to pay more and more for the honour. Just shows their real mindset the bunch of downgrading wage thieves.
  14. If it was all about survival in the Championship and breeding players to sell because we didn't have wealthy owners. Who hadn't created a black hole and dragged us back to the level we were 35 years ago and we were run by proper directors then some of the bleating from the men in suits might be palatable. Those are the points a lot of other clubs supporters and the media don't get and for me and i suspect thousands more if we are going to be constantly on the bread line there i'd rather it be without this ownership who've caused most of it. The club is a soulless shell and even sometimes when we are doing well it just doesn't seem right because you know around the corner is more nonsense.
  15. He learned everything he knows about downgrading from his Charlton and Coventry stints and i suspect that is why he ended up here. Hes been trying to replicate Mowbray ever since he left but the last two were too ambitious for him. Now it looks like the guy from above and the guy below have joined ranks and given him what they hope to be the French TM. But it's certainly an exiting summer for those 3 if they are on commission for wheeling and dealing players. £30k a pop ?
  16. Well we are due a performance and long overdue a win so it might come in this one and could probably end with the Boro fans being the one's who are irate. Rovers 2 Boro 1
  17. If the stuff in the WATR email is correct them i can see why we go nowhere and do nothing with these people in charge. I'm not for one min saying Waggot is the good guy but he is the only one with any genuine football administration experience whilst this Suhail guy is literally winging it. Overruling everything he doesn't like and pushing the things/people he does. It's nothing but a balance sheet to him and i suspect a nice wage and ego trip keeping him away from flogging chicken feed under his bosses gaze back in India. This or should i say he imo has been a major force in the stagnation but he's clearly in panic mode now the rosy picture he sends back to Pune may be well and truly busted.
  18. Yes he has Championship experience and knows what this league is about which makes the games hes taken here and the tactics we've seen all the more worrying. In terms of the rest of it he can only be referring to the time at Barnsley because there is little to back it up from Watford or WBA and iv'e yet to see a WBA or Watford fan say anything positive about him.
  19. It most certainly will not be sat in an account waiting to be used i think its pretty much been covered that that money has already been accounted for. Settling an 8 million loan for starters. Plus there is still a 20% Indian govt tax before we mention guarantees and bonds so they'll only sent what they have to when they have to i'd wager.
  20. I refuse to believe there are people who would look at the likes of Luton, Brentford, Bournemouth, Wrexham and Burnley but completely discount Blackburn Rovers. It simply isn't true no one would buy us the only issue is price and the vice like strangulation of the Venky overlords. Unfortunately that issue is huge.
  21. They spoke like exactly what they are, 3 well paid and perked executives who are just there for a wage as long as the lights are kept on regardless of how the team does. Rabbits in the headlights following the same set script with their hands tied from above, small timers who've assisted in shrinking a big club and now like to pretend its never been anything else.
  22. It can really only be he's French, he knows Rudy, his record isn't good but isn't a disaster, he keeps getting sacked and is desperate for a job stability so he'll himself fit right into our wage budget.
  23. Following on from that interview with the 3 stooges i'm still struggling to get my head around why appoint this guy. They went through their tick box exercise and said he hit the standard on all of them and that is extremely worrying and i suspect a bit of a lie. Could understand Eustace he was ideal for where we were, had a cv of saving a struggling club from relegation then having them in the top 6. Could understand JDT even if he was another left field appointment, good brand of continental style football and had just won back to back Swedish top league titles. This guy though is nothing more than a mercenary looking at his record yet they waxed on about him bringing everything we need to the table. Can only assume that a WLD dull style football record and aiming for 12th is what they aspire to as long as they can tell him who to play and keep selling players from under him. This was nearly as bad as Waggots 'best bus in football' snakeoil job.
  24. Iv'e been calling this Pasha guy out for years it's nice the spotlight is finally on him and he has had no choice to put his head up. You just don't have someone working at a club who hides in the shadows all the time, half don't know he's there and the other half don't actually know or won't say what he actually does. Even various managers have been unable to or stopped short of naming his role. Its been off from the start and now he seems to carry the Chief Operating Officer title then obviously he is (and always has been) the big cheese. So how much of the constant circus down there is really down to him ? I'd say most of it and Waggot has been happy as a Venky stooge taking his money and covering for them or just hiding away himself aside from his corporate lounge hob nobbing. Chain of command now looks like it'll be Suhail - Gestede - Ismael. Buckle up we are going back to the Kean or at very least the Coyle years imo.
  25. Back to back wins and by next midweek it'll be 'Ismaels Blue & White army'.....
