  1. Adam Catterall on friday night after the match was absolutely brilliant. Please Mods have it featured somewhere, please.
  2. Lots of police for a friday night match, werent there? They are rattled, with no interest or concern from Pune.
  3. ONeill was this times choice, but as people have said, Warnock and Jepson were ready to start pre-Coyle. A fish rots from the head. Most Clubs with bad owners at least see the Owners. SW has not been driving the bus for at least 4 years now. This is about the principle of buying a plaything,on a whim, and losing rapid interest.....sell it on E-Bay.
  4. In the present circumstances, this is an impossible topic to engage with. Yes we were in the Anfield Road on Liverpool Season Tickets. After the lose/win we got back and then I cried for ten hours as the corkscrew of the tension released itself....missed work in London and drove back to West London after the Ewood celebrations. And 30 years later we have fallen right down the snake......read Harry Berry (1975: A Century of Soccer) on X
  5. You all ask these questions. As the ex-Chair of the Trust for 5 years, I ask about Comms, decisions ,changing approach, membership numbers, how often meeting and why WATR is not coming to the same conclusions as the 'engaged' supporters who attend and see the 'un-managed' decline. Without hope there is little point of supporting our Club....but in its 150th Season; 30 years since the PL title it is just plain vandalism. SURELY WE CAN UNITE BEHIND THE NEED FOR CHANGE? I will retain my membership of WATR and re-new my Season Ticket because they will never stop my love for the Club
  6. Lots of comments, but Steve Waggott is not the one holding the steering wheel.
  7. Well done Glen....the corrosive battle is with Apathy and the Internet Warriors......you cut thru all that. Players come and go....and eventually the Owners and Management BUT the heart of the Club beats with the constant love of the Supporters.
  8. You were lucky....my dad and i only missed Boro away of Cup Run(think it was Boro) and our postal orders were returned. Cried behind sofa as the fiasco unfurled, ST holder since STs became the norm in the 70s. WE need the Owners to sell up.....there is no positive now the £10mn to £20mn is not transferring to VLL each year.
  9. With my long time access to Steve W. if i had not been so stupid but to fly to Indonesia with dodgy wi-fi, I would be asking a number of questions: -whilst supporting a lower allocation to Bunleh, why does this affect the Riverside and JW Lower(locate the 4000 bums away from the wings) -get a bloody big banner for the Darwen End Upper about the 150th Anniversary, saying THE WORLDS MOST SUCCESSFUL TOWN TEAM -have they learnt lessons from the Oxford game -, what incentives do they give BBE Upper fans to come again eg re-open it as the 150 year anniversary stand. - get a data base analyst now you have another 10,000 fans on the data-base(9k plus 8k plus 10k) to increase longer term sales - to continue to attract more Riversiders back, announce £20 per match til the end of the Season - appeal to Blackburn Companies nearish to the Ground to re-open their Car Parks for matchdays In a nutshell, try to re-connect with the wider fanbase and prove we are an ambitious Club again - cos we certainly have not been for the last 14 years. COYB but why is my Season-ticket seat in the Riverside empty!!
  10. After the farce on the Riverside after 2.40pm on Saturday it just proved to me what the Trust has been saying to the hierarchy for 6 years: "Why is the Riverside price the same as the rest of the Ground? It should be the low-level entry price to encourage more supporters" But no, we treat our poorer fans like criminals. And Tony Mowbray's dad used to smuggle him into Ayresome Park.
  11. I thought Lee Carsley was one of the "rubber dinghy boys" of our first relegation from the Premier League....one of Kiddos men? And he did not pick Adam Wharton.....so he is not on my Christmas present list.
  12. At least it wont be long to wait Lennie! And no-one has mentioned the twice yearly trip to the Indian Courts to wait outside the Courtroom.
  13. New pricing.....£20 max on Riverside and Club Shop selling tickets. PROBEM SOLVED....NO extra costs and poorer Supporters get a chance to follow the Club they love.
  14. No .....but the BBD Chile merchandise is due soon!
