As long as the next generation had a hand on the levers of power within the Venky Empire. Pasha runs the subsidiary.....who will turn it from a Subsidiary to a Community Enterprise? -
Venky’s v Indian Government (a)

The only reason we were losing £20mn per year on average was because of stupid deals and stupid pay offs that had to be cleared from the Accounts after each Financial Year. Not at home at moment(or in UK) but at home I have a list of the major cock-ups over 15 years. The ones I can remember to give some indication of a badly-run Club are things like: - Reuben Rochina's real cost incl Agents etc; Leon Best fee and pay off; Kean's Contract; Etuhu/Murphy 5 year Contracts and pay offs; Henning Berg's 6 week odyssey and Court Case; the 5 Portugese players; the list goes on and I got it to £148mn. The above is without Brereton, Rothwell, Lenihan and others(now Dolan,Travis, Tronstad) getting away because of poor direction and handling. This list would go with a Rovers Prospectus to sell the Club, to show that good management, vision and direction could attract the supporters back and re-launch our Club up the Leagues (assuming League 1 is beckoning). -
I am aware of 5 Consortia, plus the Qataris from way back. The approaches start very tentatively with a " we are looking to buy a UK Football Club" Its all VERY confidential and not for this forum, sorry. I remember Pasha arriving as an invisble man around the time of the Shelfy Shaw/Henning Berg Court case, but he may have been making Ewood trips before that.

If we are trying to impose a £10k per week maximum for ALL players, then by definition older, more loyal players will not be offered enough for them to sign. The only exception is Dolan , who has been on nowhere near that maximum. So please no-one hold your breath on the existing players re-negotiating their Contracts. The Accountants are in charge. Simples. -

They are having talks on a Contract extension, as reported by Eliot Jackson. Just hope they dont feature on the 2026 Christmas/New Year Calendar. -

Dont do that.....just send your CV to them. Clog the works. Lets see how many are sent. Low Egos only, mind. -
Its over 2 years ago since I relinquished being Chair of the rebranded WATR...... before which we were trying hard to see if the newly stabilised Rovers(under Waggott and Mowbray) had any hope of being salvageable. Steve Waggott is the scapegoat for not only the Womens Team but also the dwindling support(Adult Season-Tickets) It is clear that the MoU needs suspending; the fight is as ever to get the Owners to sell their forgotten Subsidiary in the small Northern town. It is clear the replacement for Waggott will probably be a new structure with promotions for Pasha, the Apprentice and the Ewood Express bus driver. Then the proverbial will hit the fan - and probably things will have to get worse before they get better. There have been two instances in just the last 6 months when exciting Investors would and could have taken a lead on the many Commercial opportunities at the "most successful Town Club in the World" - both vetoed by Pasha on referral to India. We now know why the January signings were held up by the unwieldy "final permissions" process. It is clear , like we suspected in the early days of Kean, that was added to by the era of Shelfy Shaw etc etc, that only a sale will regenerate OUR Club. I welcome the WATR committee decision and statement.

After he was removed/signed by Palace, he turned up one Saturday at an Event in Wilpshire/Salesbury that my Grandsons went to. My daughter took a picture of Adam with them in their Rovers tops. She sent copies of the photos to the Senior Training Centre for Scott to get Adam to sign. I got a phone call the NEXT day to say they were signed and waiting for collection. JW Upper season ticket holders will confirm how many times Adam was at a Rovers game in the last 15 months. The Wilpshire Pirlo is one of our own.....in a long line stretching past David Dunn, Bryan Douglas all the way thru Bob Crompton to the Club Founders. In our low key(!)150th Year we should be celebrating them all much more.

Before people attack WATR, notice they have 344 paying members and this would be higher if they could improve their systems of reminders, checks when Debit cards expire etc etc. I have voted(of course YES).... whilst the WATR email and sections far too big and cumbersome. My check-back on 26/04/25 will be on how many on brfcs have voted....cos this vote is admirably simple!

Lots of police for a friday night match, werent there? They are rattled, with no interest or concern from Pune.
