  1. Good lord there are some shockers in there. Shows how far we have fallen since our heyday. Paul Caddis...I forgot we ever signed him. he was fatter than me.
  2. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11706/12057091/eberechi-eze-crystal-palace-sign-forward-from-qpr Palace sign QPR forward for £20m. He scored 14 goals for QPR last year in 46 games. Not sure of his age or exact position but surely Armstrong would be worth more than the £10m that's been banded around going off that..
  3. Blackburn Rovers 0 Blackburn 2. Only we could beat ourselves haha
  4. Don't really care. Apart from 2 or 3 they are all bang average journeymen including Mowbray. Hopefully hell try some new faces from the start (Davenport, Buckley, Chapman, anyone from U23s) Probably a 1-1
  5. Thats the worst first half (or best depending your view) from a side ive ever seen. 7-0 at half time! Have wigan won every game since lockdown? certainly a team to avoid atm
  6. As I said in the Tony Mowbray thread, goes to show a young ambitious guy whilst has its risks can breathe some life into the club. The Mowbray thread reads as if you have to be over 60 years old to be considered.
  7. It wont happen but we need to go back to basics. Fresh blood, players in their best position and see what happens. We all know isnt the Tony Way however. Walton Nyambe Lenihan Tosin Downing Travis Davenport Chapman Buckley Armstrong Gallagher
  8. 10 games with Dack back and a bit of summer trading? His summer trading in the last 2 years/5 windows has been a disaster! How much more money can we afford to give him to spend on players to shoehorn into positions they are'nt capable of playing. Personally id have him out before this season is out. Let a new manager have a few games to look at our squad and a summer transfer window to try and shape it. Why do we also think the only managers available are free agents. As with a player we can look to purchase an up and coming manager currently at a club. We will still be an attractive outfit to an ambitious L1/2 or foreign coach. I dont think I could cope with another summer of Brereton and Gallagher esque signings.
  9. David Dunn odds on favourite for the Barrow job. Id take him to replace Mowbray...he might be awful but id take the risk at the moment. A blackburn lad in charge with an experienced no 2. Ill keep dreaming...
  10. Since promotion from L1 Mowbray has been dog turd. Muddled with no plan and absolutely shocking in the transfer market. The club is desperate for him to leave. Dunno whats worse the 12m clueless strikers or selling a home grown talented GK on the cheap without a replacement in mind. We need to kick up a fuss somehow
  11. That defeat ultimately rests on Mowbray. By championship standards hes had plenty to spend over the last 3 years and used it very poorly. Armstrong and Dack aside i cant recall any good signings. £10m plus of strikers starting today and 4 goals between them. Our best players are academy. Never mind the loyalty he shows to absolute dog awful players. We need to move him on over the summer (autumn) break. Will be stagnant for years under him.
  12. Haha, I'd almost forgotten how ridiculous his senile ramblings were. Getting embarrased 6-0 and run ragged by a much better side is just what I wanted.
  13. They should get the whole squad to control their fifa equivalent and have a match. Might be Breretons only chance to get some goals this year!
  14. Haha was anyone playing or was it simulated to let fifa decide?
  15. The thought of bennett keeping his place at RB makes me feel ill! Not only is he absolute garbage these days, it also removed one of our main attacking threats by putting Nyambe at CB. Id rather have a dodgy CB for a game than Bennett. Haven't Travis and Rankin Costello both played right back a lot for the U23s? Walton Nyambe Tosin Mulgrew Bell Travis Johnson JRC Rothwell Armstrong Gallagher
  16. Because they aren't good enough. 5 or 6 of this line up aren't up to it. Neither is the manager. Need some proper recruitment rather than the last few years.
  17. kick in the balls conceding on 45mins, however this team today was never going keep a clean sheet. Benno needs retiring. Rather have mulgrew at CB and keep Nyambe where he was. Hopefully Armstrong will come to life second half.
  18. Crap line up. Expecting us to struggle today. Half a side playing out of position. Hoping to be proved wrong.
  19. I can see us being both more likely to win this but also more likely lose than the stoke game. Swansea will give it a go and I can definitely see them scoring. Our current squad however prefer a team that attacks us. We were devoid of ideas against a stoke side who camped in their own area. Unfortunately for us and our play off hopes I can see a high scoring draw. 2-2. If Lenihan was in id say we would have sneaked it. Hopefully proved wrong. Mulgrew to return?
  20. Hoping we go for it with Gallagher and Armstrong both central. Rothwell and Downing out wide. I suspect gallagher on the wing though.
  21. Id try and stick with a similar side to that of late. My only concern would be that the Brentford game was a tough game and Johnson and Downing may be in need of a rest just 4 days later. The rest should be fine. Please do not bring Bennet back in. If Downing and Johnson do need a rest until saturdays Id like to see Davenport and Chapman come in.
  22. Despite losing a 2-0 lead cannot fault anything with that performance against a very good side going forward. They have a lot of quick talented forwards with lost of movement. A wonder goal and a never in a million years penalty cost us. The wind battered us 2nd half as well. I'd have taken this result before the game. Armstrong and Travis immense and look dangerous on the break. On to the next one!
  23. Nervous about this one. their front three has A Lot of goals in it. Take a point from this. I do think well score though. Armstrong in the counter.
  24. Would you not watch a world cup final or champions league final?
  25. I reckon Mowbray will go for the following ?: Nyambe Gallagher Tosin Bell
