Pennant is a must if Birmingham go down. With Pennant, Bentley and Pedersen all in the same squad then mabye there would be enough creativity to compensate for the loss of Tugay. Upson is a good shout too, Portsmouth have alot of decent players if they go down also, Sean Davis, Taylor, Oneil. But I doubt they would be on the cheap as the russian guy will help keep the club away from financial trouble.

Did anyone see Alan Smiths Injury today. Looked a bad one especially regarding the recation of the other players. Reports say a broken leg and a dislocated ankle. Surely puts him out of the world cup. Hope he recovers ok!

This was the first ever game i saw at ewood, and was the day before my 7th birthday i think. A shearer hat trick, Le saux from 30 yards, Mike Newell got one and cant remember who else. We sat in the Jack Walker stand, think it was the first day it was open. Those were the days. On a side not, Blackburn are yet to loose when i have travelled to watch them, which includes a trip to old trafford!

My trick was a decent formation and selling all the deadwood off, eg Enkleman, Matteo, Jansen, Gallagher, Douglas, Almost all reserves, Gresko, Dikov and got around 4.5m for them. They on player search fitted filters to find some quality cheap players, especially defenders. Get Dwight Pezzarossi! Scored 4 on his debut! Also Riordan. Also helped that Kuqi scored 28 in a season!!!!!!!

Think Reid and Savage should play in the centre to run the legs off the un-matchfit Emre and overun the weakened midfield. Emerton and Pedersen on the wings to also provide the legs to run Newcastles weakened team ragged. Dickov and Bentley to go upfront, i think Newcastles defence could cope with the power of Kuqi but their positional play is terrible so the more skilful and creative Bentley may unlock their defence better. I think Bentleys form has been pretty good of Late. If we havent scored then theres always Tugay or Kuqi to bring off the bench. Enkleman Mokoena Kuqi Petr Tugay Also wouldnt mind trying petr out for the last 15 minutes or so depending on the result. He seems a real prospect, and would offer something different to pedersen. Just read the thank you letter that Matt has written on the official sight. On of my favourite players ever to wear the shirt along with duffer. Has anyone found that the defenders defend so deep that theres no room to get in behind. Unless thats just my mate being boring and defensive. Its hard to score though, because you cant get close enough to goal.

Tottenham are now a quality team with great passing players. Got to go 4-5-1 again to prevent them contolling possession, and allow us to take control. No point reverting back to 4-4-2 and getting dominated. Got to play Tugay, Cant run but only player that can pass, Emerton Sav Reid n Pedersen will do the running for him. Same team as last time apart from Gresko at LB. Got to play Gresko now, especially at home. This will be a very tough test.

Listening to Charlie Nicholas and Hughes on sky sports, sounds like a quality display. Seems to me like, although many may not like it but 4-5-1 seems to suit our players alot more than 4-4-2. Gives us great posession and defensive cover, and by the sounds of it Kuqi had plenty of service and chances. Only worries is Kuqis Lack of finishing, Poor concentration defensively in both games but that may improve with more games. Also where to fit Bellamy in if this is the best formation for us, Needs to play but where?

A perferct opportunity for a season long loan deal, Saha, Smith or Keane spring to mind. Might be a better option than splashing cash we dont have.

Wouldnt mind Jansen getting an extended run alongside Kuqi. Something tells me he may regain some form this season.

Is it true the PS3 will be 2x more powerful than X box 360 and something like 15x more than the Nintendo?
