  1. What happened to pre season form? Sounds like we missed nelsen.
  2. Why do New members like sparkymarky or huever he is always seem to try n start a pointless argument with stupid posts to make a name for themselves? Anyways, If we could get Matt back to anywhere near his old self then it would be like a major new Signing. Remember the Bolton goal? Class. A decent Pre season, and a manager who seems to be the best man for the job of getting him back, he has every chance.
  3. They shud all be Deported and shot. If they dont like britain then dont live here. [Please refrain from using bad language]
  4. There was also the chant, Whats it like to smell of fish? Ill have you know i do not smell of fish!
  5. The ground is not far from the prom at all. If you walk towards the street broadway you can more or less see the sea. There are loads of bars on the prom but some are getting abit run down. Think morecambes ground holds around 4-5,000 so there should be plenty of room for a friendly. A morecambe player to look out for is Micheal Twiss, used to be at man u. A cut above the conference. Haha oh yeah if anyone is interested the crazy guy who runs christie park stores has fitted a beer pump to his newsagents, right next to the ground. Haha imagine 1000 rovers fans going in and asking for a pint. http://www.morecambefc.com/newsarticle.php...t_from=&ucat=1& confirms the ticket prices. £8 for adults, £4 for other. As a student with an NUS do i classify as others? I should know but cant be bothered walking to the ground to look.
  6. Nice one, these NUS cards really do come in handy lol.
  7. Does anyone know the ticket prices for the morecambe game? hope there about £3 like the reserve game. Is Bellamy defo playing? i Only live bout 200m away from the ground. Morecambes pitch is in fantastic condition, better than many prem pitches, so should allow a nice passing match if anone is interested. Also Morecambe up their game for big teams, they were fantastic against hull when i saw them last season and also cambridge n ipswich years ago. So expect a decent game whoever si going. And as someone was asking, The Dog and partridge is a decent pub in bare bout a mile away from the ground, also there is a decent pub in the ground itslef. On a side note for whoever is interested, morecambe got voted as doing the best pies in england afew years ago haha. Cant beat a football pie. Should be a good day, and mabye see the new home kit.
  8. 1. Chelsea 2. Arsenal 3. Man Utd 4. Liverpool 5. Tottenham 6. Newcastle 7. Middlesborough 8. Everton 9. Aston Villa 10. BLACKBURN 11. Charlton 12. Aston Villa 13. Birmingham 14. Bolton 15. West Ham 16. Fulham 17. Portsmouth 18. West Brom 19. Wigan 20. Sunderland I think there are afew over optimistic predictions regarding Rovers. A massive improvement on last year i feel, but a more creative midfield needed to create the goals needed for top 6. Also if no more strikers come in, we will struggle if Bellamy is injured for any time. A low top half finish i predict. Also Newcastle will rid souness early on, bring in someone half decent and have a good season.
  9. Great Signing, A forward with electric pace is what we have been missing. Our strikers havent threatened with pace for years. However, i think Benni would have been a more prolific forward, so he would have been 1st choice. I think we can now look forward to a much improved season next season, possible top ten finish, althought a creative midfielder would be useful. Something to think about next summer mabye. The board certainly kept that one quiet didnt they. Did any of us know anout an accepted bid from us? Mabye Moyes has learned a lesson, after he has branded his targets in neon lights wherever he can, whilst we sneaked up and got what we wanted. A Williams/Hughsey masterclass at work i think. you got to love Hughes ability to attract players purely by his name and connections. He is raising the profile of our club. Souness leaving, best thing that could have happened. odds on us above newcastle end on next season?
  10. If the England womans team were to play a Mens Conference team, eg Morecambe who would win do you think. I would back the mens conference team every time, on account of mens power and speed. Would be interesting to watch.
  11. Oh my god!!!! That was crazy, in a pub full of Liverpool fans! Those who were supporting Milan! Why???????????? Support British, get your priorities right!
  12. What?? Where are we actually at in the current premiership form table? I can see another draw in this one. 1-1
  13. We should play a 4-1-3-2 for this game, giving more attacking support but also being solid. Friedel Neil Todd Nelsen Matteo Mokoena/Savage (Depends if fit) Emerton Reid Pedersen Stead Gallagher Could be a good chance for the young lads upfront as im sure theyl get chances against the palace defense.
  14. That muppet Lawro has predicted us another loss as usually. He drives me mental with his vendetta against us. I sent an email moaning about him. So if you hear anything being read out about lawro by Ben from Hull uni you know who sent it haha.
  15. Where were we this time last season? How many points did we have? I wonder if were doing better this season or last.
  16. 3-0 was flattering to arsenal. 1 or 2-0 would have been more reasonable. If we can sign a quality striker and and an Attacking midfielder next season, then we will be a top 10 team i reckon! Seriously! Also Emerton made an impact when he came on, mabye its time for him to replace thompson or flitcroft with thommo in the centre.
  17. Why is there always some sort of moaning, whining and insulting nearly everyday on this site. Some of you are too quick to have a go at other people especially to new posters. However try to stop the pointless posts as its pretty obvious thats whats happening in this thread.
  18. I for one have never rated Amoruso. Hes far too slow for a centre Half. He may do a job in defensive Midfield with his passing abilities, but Amoruso and Short are pretty much past it. Thompson needs time, i say judge him at the end of next season, same with Emerton (He had the attributes to be outstanding). I agree with Bellamy11, except about Amoruso. Same has happened with Stead, everyone loved him this time last year, now he gets slated. I say look at his allround game, his holding up of the ball and bringing other players into the game is top draw, also the service he has had. Everyone deserves their chance, just Amoruso is gettin too old, and has been essentially replaced by younger better players
  19. You cant be good either, and you can still bleed the club dry!
  20. With a now seemingly unbreakable defense and with the imminant arrival of new striking power, Bellamy has been linked again today, i cant see us loosing many games next season. It may be overoptimistic but we could be the next Everton, they were in our position last season. I wonder what the odds would be on us finishing top 10 or even to 8ish next term. It wouldnt be a bad shout for a bet in my opinion.
  21. Wahey. Got back from playin footy and it was 1-0. went for a shower and its 3-0! Rovers scoring 3? whats going on hahaha
  22. Whats with Mark Lawrencen? did someone at blackburn offend him or something. It doesnt matter who we play, he seems to think we will loose.
  23. If our defence has conceeded 12 goals in 20 odd games, as someone posted not long ago, why disturb that defensive line?
  24. The Umbro Kits are really good kits. There extremely light and keep you cool. Would be excellent for the players to play in. Nottingham Forest Kits are made by Umboro and their Black away kit is a great kit. And we hust have more appeal than Forest.
  25. There ae some crazy and pessemistic predicitons on here! 3-2 to Saints?? There hasnt been more than 1 or 2 goals in a Rovers game for months apart from Norwich. It will be a 1-0 or a 1-1.
