v Cardiff City (h) - 27/9/23 Carabao Cup

We're terrible at conceding soon after scoring. Getting more goals around the team but very soft at the other end now. -

Can imagine the weathwe will make this a scrappy game. The storm will be coming on strong come kick off. Hopefully telalovic looks decent. Expecting a scrappy one tonight. -

Well be closer to the bottom than play offs this year. Awful. -

What a dreadful start. -

Squads not good enough. Midfield and forward line looks weak on paper and the results are matching. Mid table results for a mid table squad. Need Ennis and Sigurdson to actually play some minutes ASAP and invest in January for any play off hope. Unlikely. -

Not seen any of the game but an unreal performance given the number of changes. A few of the lads given the manager some headaches for the first team. -

What's the new lad Moran looked like from anyone watching? Impressive performance given all the changes, especially when you look at Chelsea and Everton struggling -
Women's World Cup 2023

Anyone seen this Spanish FA president kiss? Fuck me the world takes itself too seriously these days. A Spanish football man overjoyed at winning the world Cup hugs a player and kisses her on tue lips. Now subject to a witch hunt. I've seen the video, it's no different to kissing your kid when you're proud of them. Worlds mental. -
Was debating this the other day. Some of the players going over there are young enough to still compete at the highest level i.e. Neymar, Henderson, Mane, Mahrez etc, but have gone for the money. Now if you offered me who isnt a millionaire to go over for that money id go tomorrow...however these players are already multi multi millionaires and already have more money in their accounts than theyll be able to spend in their lifetime. Would £700k a week make any difference to their lifestyle (during and after their carreer) to the £150 or £200k they would get in europe? Surely prestige and legacy would be more important to someone who already has money coming out of their eyeballs. Obviously not though.

I think Ennis needs to start. Hes looked impressive in all his appearances so far and bagged a cup goal. If he only lasts 60 minutes Leonard can get some more minutes. Think some are being a big harsh on Dolan and Markanday. Markanday has 1 goal in 2 in the league and also scored in pre season. So thats 2 goals in about 4 games after hardly playing. Stick with for now. Pears JRC Carter Hyam Pickering Tronstadt Wharton Szmodic Markanday Ennis Dolan

How are Chelsea still within FFP restrictions? I know they will have a big income via commercial deals, TV money etc but no champions league and they must have spent nearly £1billion over the last couple of years and are still bidding on every player going. Thought they wanted the squad to downsize. Their wage bill will be eye watering.

Thought Ennis would get the nod upfront as I think it will be a bit of a scrap. Good confidence boost to Leonard. Bit worried we're a bit lightweight against a scrappy Rotheram side. Hopefully we can get the football flowing early. -

Good win with a bare bones squad against a team that should be challenging near the top. Leonard looks a lot more promising than Vale. A CF and RW we wouldn't look too bad when all are fit. -
Any JDT interview yet?
-
Wow. 8 goals without reply. Guess the Austrian bundesliga isn't very good. Good to see Leonard off the mark early. I think he'll quickly be above Vale in the pecking order.
-
Haha first response...an advert. I agree, browsing the forum on a mobile is shocking.

Saka is a top top player these days. Added regular goals to his game. Now must be one of the top 5 or 6 wide players in the world. I used to think England should play sancho over him. Not even close now The TAA love in is getting a bit weird.

Can't believe Luton are going to be in the Prem. My mind still associates them with L1 or L2. We missed a humongous opportunity to go up this year. Don't think the league will be as weak as last year for some time. What could have been if it wasn't for the disintegration of the last 10 games and those two last second equalisers v the two finalist sides.
-
Nice to get some business done early for a change. Never heard of the guy until a couple of days ago. 24 years old and 13 goals in a title winning L1 side last year sounds decent business on a free. If he can add a bit of strength and pace up top it would be an improvement. Pretty sure George Hirst had 13 L1 goals before we signed him and we all know how good he was.....

Bradley Dack - Twist or Stick?
benhben replied to bigbrandjohn's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
We all knew this was coming as despite a decent spell after Christmas he seemed to fall out of favour with JDT again. Still a bit gutted though as I think we could have found a way to use his instincts around the box. Those two injuries were a sickener right in his prime. -
Cant see there being any truth behind the sacking rumors, but the comments on there are full mowbray. Already talking about how good the teams coming up from L1 are and how hard it will be for little sunderland next season.

Where did we finish last year? On current form we might be on track to finish lower than the mogdagon days -

Loss of form at the wrong time. The team doesn't seem to be have been playing badly of late but no one of any quality to take the chances up top. Them 4 dropped points in the last seconds of the last 2 games make this loss a killer. No way Is Brereton anything above championship standard. Should have sold him for £5m early in the summer. -

benhben replied to roversfan99's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Wtf.....95min and 94min to drop 4 points. Those 4 points would have made top 6 fairly comfortable. Simply can't afford to do this and expect to get away with it. -
v Coventry (h) 19/4/23 @ 19:45
benhben replied to Sweaty Gussets's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Did we seriously just conceed a 95th minute equaliser to their goalkeeper? Jesus christ, we really do know how to fuck things up. Win would have been massive looking at other results. No killer instinct in this team.
